Sad story, I fear Marcia and Ziggy met with foul play, and Australia is a vast expanse to be lost in. Kudos for seeking out these older and less well known cases. They deserve their stories told as well.
The USA is a bigger expanse to get lost in… vast parts of Australia are untravellable unless you have four wheel drive vehicles and equipment and permits from First Nations people to travel through their land. On the east coast where Marcia and Ziggy went missing there are lots of towns and travellers…
Yes a vastness hard to imagine. If someone took Marcia and didn't hurt or kill Ziggy I bet he would have turned up trying to get someones attention even though he was ten years old. Those type of dogs are wicked smart.
Working in a trucking company she would have been comfortable with truck drivers. He admitted to stopping because his truck was highly identifiable and he knew it.
You know I've talked to people who have had family members who were murdered and they say when that happens there's great sorrow but then you can eventually move on as best you can, even though you'll never truly get over it. But when somebody's missing it's even worse. Because there's always that feeling they might come home one day. Even after while if you're being realistic you know they're never coming back.
It is certainly harder for the families who are unable to grieve. With remains and knowledge of the circumstances of a loved one's death, you can pay your respects and go through the natural grieving process. When someone goes missing, you want to believe you will see them again even if logically you know that the chances are low. You would wonder all the time.
You never get over it, you just learn how to adjust to life without your precious loved one. The initial pain is usually accompanied by shock which can take years to shake the fog, then you have to learn to deal with the everyday loss, then there's there's the milestone events they can't attend and you always lose your thoughts to what they would be doing, wearing, thinking etc. Life is never the same and the void it creates can never be filled, trust me I unfortunately know this 1st hand. You're right about the missing person thing though. You always think that they are being mistreated and there's no place to go to when you want to pay your respects. That's why I think it's so cruel when people just go off the grid without telling their families. Just tell them to leave you alone, but let them know you're safe.
Apparently, people in Japan have a different attitude about disappeared relatives. If there is no sign of foul play and if Police mounted an adequate search to no avail, then the Japanese just assume that their relative didn't want to be with them and just left to start a new life without them. The relatives accept this possible reality and just move on with their lives. Also, the problem of disappearing relatives seems to be much more common there. Vice News did a report on this a few years
If she had committed suicide then more than likely her body would have been found. Something else far worse happened to her. Hopefully for the family, her body, or remains, will be found.
That trucker story throws a wrench in this hypothesis though. If something truly horrible happened to her she would look for any help she could get. @Tammy Allen i think she might have gotten out the car to let her dog pee. Than and there an assailant who possibly was following her acted out. She didn't need gas so shed have not asked for a ride .
@Tammy Allen you don't know that her dog didn't die somehow. If this wasn't murder 🤞I think she could have buried him in the sand, walked in a daze and finally threw her wallet because she knew she wouldn't need it anymore.
As a parent, this must be the most heartbreaking situation to face, one day your child disappears and you spend each day wondering what happened. As for Marcia, I think it’s fair to acknowledge that she was not in the frame of mind to harm herself as she was on her way to see her parents. Out on the highway there are so many possibilities of encounters, many not good. I hope that her family one day has answers. They desserts to know. Everyone that has a missing loved one deserves to know what happened, as it’s a certain type of hell that no one wants to be a forced to endure.
@@consciousobserver629 and what really twists the knife is the fact that “foul play” can encompass so many possible scenarios. She could still be alive but captive. That may be an even worse thought than if she were murdered. Her loved ones are now burdened with the near certainty that she has been a victim of foul play while still being far less certain as to her being alive or dead. I don’t even want to imagine the emotional turmoil a missing person’s family must endure daily and forever.
If true that she was walking along the roadside, maybe she let the dog out to potty during the trip, the dog got lost in the dark and she went walking to look for him. Really odd that she would be walking along the road and the dog was not with her or left at the vehicle.
That's what I was thinking. Maybe the dog got lost. She then went to search for the dog by foot in distress . The truck driver sees her, stops and says hey need a ride? Obviously she doesn't cuz she just wants to find her dog. Truck driver leaves then someone with ill intent sees her, tries to pick her up and gets the same response maybe with a more descriptive answer about the dog and the person probably said yea! I seen it a few miles back, hop in. She probably did this time and boom...I dont think she would just hide and/or commit suicide.
Dogs getting lost doing potty is not likely - they follow their noses and will return to their owner whether its dark or not especially if he was so loyal and well-trained that he didn't need to be on the lead
Wow, what the hell was going on with the car? The brother had to break into it after the cops were 'unhelpful'?! Sounds like Police REALLY screwed up there, any forensics lost forever....
What a sad case; it hit home as I'm similar. Thankyou for including her wee dog. I too have my wee dog who is always with me as my therapet. I'm Irish and 33 this year. I really doubt she'd put Ziggy in a dangerous situation. I hope one day it is solved, and at this point I can only hope Ziggy and her were together. If not they are surely together again on the other side xxxx
For some reason I feel like this channel deals with these cases in a more respectful way than many other true crime channels. One of the reasons is probably that we see pictures of the victims and not the presenter. Is it just me who feels like that?
She also does not attempt humour in any way or shove her opinion. It is just the facts. Not to mention that she donates money from channel and merchandise to charities dealing with missing people. I cannot stand makeup, humour or faces. It just seems gimmicky.
Just wanted to say thank you for creating and uploading videos for us to watch. A lot of hard work goes into creating this type of content I know and it's very much appreciated❤
I love your content and your exceptional story telling. You are always empathetic and compassionate to those whose stories you are sharing. I imagine it’s hard to tell these stories but it’s a vital step that you offer these families; expose!! People need to hear these families and hear their stories and hopefully find clues and possibly one day, closure.
I love the background music you play. It's so somber and relaxing and doesn't distract but gives the videos a certain vibe. It's almost like your trademark in your videos.
Being a Victorian myself, this story smacks of abduction. I say this because I was almost abducted in regional Victoria. There is no way she ended her life, and someone knows what happened to her. I hope her family received an outcome.
Great coverage of a very sad story. Just one tiny thing, as someone who has their thyroid removed, one day off for surgery seems pretty crazy. You might get out of hospital in a day, but there is still recovery time needed. Just seems weird, though not terribly important.
I have a border collie, and they are such fiercely protective loyal companions that I would bet money on that dog not letting her come to harm by another person if he was with her.
It really doesn't take much to overcome a dog, if you have bad intentions. So I will have to disagree with you on that one. From the land down under. 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Border collies are EXTREMELY intelligent.. on so many levels but unfortunately like Kumara stated, the majority of dogs can't win when up against an ill intended person 😕 I don't doubt one bit that her dog gave it his all, though!
@@kumaralockwood3172 lmfao you’re full of shit, come try to overpower my German shepherd or pit bull😂😂😂 love to see you try. I’ll even pay for your hospital bill.
Border collies are not protection dogs. They are usually friendly or neutral to strangers, all they care about is work. Being smart or loyal doesn't mean the dog has the ability or instinct to actually attack someone.
So sad. Both of their girls. I hope they are all together now along with Ziggy. I can't imagine that dog leaving her but if she didn't have him leashed maybe something happened. Maybe she was stopped for him to pee and someone tried to grab her. Ziggy chased him off or at least away from her and then she went looking for him. And sadly maybe a monster got them both out there. I can't see either of them leaving the other unless under extreme duress. I love animals and dogs have a very special place in our lives. We have always been extremely close no matter what kind. Border collies are working dogs. Incredibly intelligent and full of energy. Even a mixed version. My family has had collies on and off for at least 100yrs. Many different breeds, even shelties. We even had a collie/Rott/Chow mix who was nothing if not very protective. Even with his wife our beautiful Husky. You darent mess with her because he would bite you. It might have been some comfort to them both to be together at the end. I hope so. Thank you DC🙏💔🦌
6:32 - we dont know the direction in which the car was going. She might have been a passenger in this vechicle, and thrown away the wallet to leave a sign on the road. She possibly knew that something bad is waiting for Her. Excuse my English.
Her working for 10 years straight with only ONE day off is insane. She must've been severely depressed to put herself through something like that. Everyone needs a break from work, even if it's just lounging at home. I LOVE my job but I would never sacrifice missing time with my family or going on week long trips. That is something a job cannot provide.
I think that meant one day off sick. She would have had normal weekends, public holidays and annual leave. At 10 years, by law she was entitled to 3 months' paid long service leave. Maybe this is what she was using to head north to see her parents. We know she renovated her house, so I think she had plenty of time away from work. I think you are taking that comment too literally.
I checked a like to this video only because of the fact that somebody or someone still are keeping this case open and also giving information about Marci and her dog companion to the light/the people who are not aware of this. I hope and pray that her family gets closure! And my condolences to her parents who passed, without knowing. I believe they know now, watching from above 🌹🌹🌹
Oh yeah the reason why I said I checked a like to this video and my reasons for it I explained, because I definitely don't like what happened and the situation of the story... So there it is again
From what I've seen of mine or other people's dogs, doesn't matter how well behaved they are, there's always that one thing that can make them break the pattern. I have a feeling that little doggy ran off and she went after him and after that things went very wrong. 😢
I do too. I feel like she must have been stopped for gas or something else, set her wallet on top of the car and then Ziggy ran off and she went after him by car first then by foot.
She wasn’t in a right frame of mind to begin with when she decided to drive such a long distance alone, to visit her parents. And if she ran out of petrol at night in an isolated area where she had to abandon her vehicle and walk to get help that’s a recipe for disaster. The fact the Good Samaritan truck driver didn’t recollect seeing a dog is extremely strange. As dogs will bark, growl and make a ruckus at strangers even when in a playful state and especially at night.
Thank you DC for presenting this strange case. Sorry the parents died not knowing what happened to their daughter. Strange for a coroner to rule without having a body but that's his discretion.
I believe she was murdered along with her dog. She wasn't far from a gas station, she had money and I'm pretty sure she could have used a phone there to call for help. Maybe she did go to the gas station and trouble started there. She might have been walking to the gas station when the trucker spotted her and maybe the dog was doing his thing in the brush before heading to the gas station. There are many possibilities. Maybe the trucker had something to do with this and he decided to keep the dog and murder the girl. Her wallet was thrown from a moving vehicle as to confuse or throw investigators off track. Thank you for the video 👋from 🇨🇦❤️✌️
I suspect the trucker a bit anyway. With him coming forward it might be a bit like killers who insert themselves into an investigation by pretending to help. He may have seemed to her a bit safer than a person in a car. Darn that they didn't have DNA then from him.
Such a heartbreaking story I feel terrible for her parents and most of all for her... I honestly do not believe she left on her own and I do not believe she went to kill herself and then kill her beloved dog...me as an animal lover would NEVER put any of my animals In harm's way so I feel in my heart she definitely would not have done that!! She may have been depressed yes, but knowing what her parents have been through by losing her sister I don't think that she would make them hurt even more by doing something like that to herself... Unfortunately I truly hate saying this but I believe Someone did something to her and Ziggy 😥 But my heart thoughts and prayers go out to her, Ziggy, and her family... I hope that they find them both and are able to bring them home🙏💗😥
Yes heather I agree with all u said!! Im thinking it was the trucker! And as far as animals..me too..my pets would prevent me actually from killing myself...I would be to worried about how they are going to survive and how they would be so confused about where i went. U know dogs are "ok" with death but abandonment is not ok for them!
I wonder if perhaps something happened to the dog - they somehow got separated (I know he was well behaved but still. things can happen). Maybe she was looking for him and had an accident, or couldn't cope with the loss of her beloved dog near to the anniversary of her sister's death, and killed herself? Foul play does seem likely though.
That's actually an interesting theory: cases of "rescuers getting lost themselves" have been proposed in other cases before, like the Flannan Isles incident or the "Ghost Blimp" incident of WWII. But you're also right that some other facts, like the disappearance of her car and the discarding of her wallet, suggest something else entirely.
I thought about her dog possibly running off into the bush, but I can't imagine her not following after him, let alone him leaving her and not coming back eventually. I would have thought she may have taken the ride to find her dog or at least asked for help, maybe even have mentioned it. That could possibly be why she was distressed, but I would have thought she would have called her Mum and Dad. It's such a shame.
This is really tragic, so tragic and parents losing both their daughters. Sadly I feel she was probably murdered and Ziggy could have been the dog seen around.
I know this happened before pet microchips, but this type of case is another good reason to get your pert microchipped. If Ziggy or his remains turned up anywhere, the chip would positively identify him and might give a clue as to Marcia's whereabouts.
The dog is a real spanner in the works here. Without him it would read like a clear cut tragic runaway then suicide. But if that were so the dog would have turned up.
I’m fascinated and frustrated at the same time not knowing what happened. I’m interested in where she worked (trucking company) in 10yrs she must have formed relationships at different levels there must have been plenty of truckers around and she’s a good looking girl! Did she have a secret lover ! That strange man is a weird event ! Something about this doesn’t add up in terms of there’s so many unanswered questions, like she was a bike enthusiast she must have had biker friends like a club or something. I want to know about her past in more detail! I bet there’s someone of interest there for sure.
I wonder if Ziggy took off after something during a stop to let him use the bathroom (or was grabbed by something), and that's why she was distressed, then she vanished looking for him, leaving the car running. The wallet could have happened by someone taking advantage of the abandoned vehicle.
I find it weird that she planned to drive to Queensland by way of Gippsland when that is south east of Melbourne and Queensland is north. Why go the long way? It's already a long drive, at least 21 hours and that's if you go north (up through Shepparton and just keep going).
She stopped to walk the dog before getting gas. She either got run over and the driver concealed it or she is somewhere in the terrain. The truck driver is a liar.
Thank 💐 You so very much young lady for including a description of Marcia's baby Ziggy. I had a 'ziggy' once many moons ago and l agree, she wouldn't have let Ziggy be in danger. She may well have died protecting him & herself. How cruel that her parents never found out either way. And lising *two* children, my lord, could they suffer any more pain??😥 The only good thing is knowing all 5 of them (yes I'm including sweet Ziggy) are together now, for always. Rest In Peace Marcia with your precious special boy Ziggy. Together forever. 🌹😔🌹. 🌈🇨🇦☮️
I live in the suburb next to Seaford from where she lived. Moe is a town 1 & 1/2 hours away from here to the east. This is the opposite way to go if she were heading to QLD. It is a small town in the middle of nowhere. Tragically I think she was suffering an episode of some sort and wandered into the bush.
I used to live in Chelsea! Around 2008 or so. I feel the day she spent at home she would have been casually packing for the trip to QLD and that the call happened to her parents at 10:45pm then she packed the car then made a phone call to her father from a pay phone on the way (it would be interesting to know if this was the same location she withdrew cash) - possibly in Frankston or one of the petrol stations on the way as there used to be many payphones alongside that road visible from the road. I would like to know if "early the following morning" means over 24hrs later or only a matter of hours later (4hrs? approx) from the call to her parents that the vehicle was found abandoned. There is a way to get through to Sydney (and subsequently north to QLD) from the Princess Highway rather than going up the Hume however depending on the time she left her residence to me she should have made it much further than an hour and a half away?? The roads around Moe and Morwell are not divided by a barrier so the potentiality of someone heading in the opposite direction noticing her and her dog is very possible... I'd like to know how much the trucker was investigated at all or if the truck was searched or if since there has been any DNA samples taken...
@@igitha..._ When a person is missing and suspected to be dead I think police ought to investigate stuff like that far more thoroughly. Why not look his truck over and his property? Scary stuff!
I love the way you pronounce her name! The spelling does lead one to believe that that IS the right way to say it but most people I know pronounce it "Marsha". I don't see where Marsha is in Marcia.
I believe the narrator's pronunciation is correct. In Australia, in that era, Marcia was commonly pronounced that way. Personally I first heard "Marsha" on the Brady Bunch but I don't recall meeting or knowing anyone who used that pronunciation.
As an Australian I have always known the pronunciation to be as DC said it. As a child I had a friend called Marcia and she hated it when it was said as Marsha (Brady Bunch era)
Here’s my take: she pulled over because her dog probably wanted to go to the bathroom. Ziggy ran away so she went out looking for him. In doing so she got lost and died of exposure or met foul play. That’s why the truck driver noticed her in distress. I hope I’m wrong and somehow she’s alive.
People go missing all the time sadly. Some do so for a litany of reasons and some desire not to be found. Others are kidnapped or believe it or not stage a disappearance for reasons like jealous/ abusive partners, work troubles, money problems etc.
Thank you so much for covering this case Moe is actually pronounced 'Mo-ee" - the area and surrounds including Morwell and Trafalgar are pretty renowned these days for being full of dodgy individuals and people released from prison and psych wards as well as prominent drug use in the area. The roads in the town and surrounds are now patrolled by police constantly and they pull over any outsiders at night.. Personally I suspect foul play.
Wow! So dodgy they have cops patrolling.. I don't think we do that ANYWHERE in the U.S. I would be freaked the hell out if I was stranded on the side of the road in the middle of the night in the dark. Getting into a stranger's car would be terrifying, but so would not getting into a vehicle.
first time I ventured out into gippsland on a train with my friend I pronounced moe like the simpsons character and my friend laughed. I also smoked weed for the first time while I was in sale. as a melbourne girl I felt very out of my element, liked seeing the stars so clear and nice air but it was a lot more dodgy that anywhere I had ever been in the city. it has a weird vibe and I never had reason to go back since.
@@consciousobserver629 Are you serious? Have you been to any downtown area, especially at night? Police patrol those areas for hours, there and hot spots for illegal drug activity.
If she had her thyroid removed, she would have been on medication to replace the thyroid hormones. If she went without her medication for any length of time, she would have had little to no metabolic function and would have been in a medical crisis.
So tragic, I’ve often thought when people have asked what superpower would you want if it was possible,…if you couldn’t change the past I think I would choose the ability to find those missing wether young or old…yes a childlike thought but the closure it would bring people would be priceless. Rest in Eternal Peace Marcia 💐& Ziggy🎾
If you're going to trust anybody with "all you're being," you couldn't do better than entrusting it to a Heeler... intense, protective dogs... like the one in "Road Warrior."
The footage of the beautiful beach at approx 2:30 in definitely not Seaford beach. The beaches in melbourne definitely ain't tropical like that. The direction shown on the map is going east in Victoria from Melbourne, this is in no way the direction of Queensland. Why was she travelling that direction. Makes no sense. Queensland is north of Melbourne
Gotta be the trucker. Crime analysts always say if someone puts themselves at the crime scene with the person who is missing/murdered, they are likely the one who is responsible.
What a fantastic video Marcia and Ziggy didn't deserve this poor families not knowing what theire fate's are all My condolences to the family's of beautiful Marcia and Ziggy from Alma and Glen Australia
13:50 Does anyone else think it's strange that the missing info says "possible neck scar from thyroid surgery"? Did she have the surgery? If she did, then there is a scar
Scars can be removed. My cousin had her thyroid removed and a big, ugly scar formed. About a year later she had the scar removed. Couldn't tell she ever had surgery. I think Marcia had a breakdown.
Google maps says around 24hrs but that's without fuel breaks toilet breaks stops for stretching as well as food either takeaway or stopping in towns to eat or check the maps in addition to road works or any accidents or congestion in the traffic. I have done the trip in one go heading south from Southern QLD back to Melbourne and I managed to do it within a day and a half (31hrs) with a dog sidekick in tow who required regular business breaks as well... Left around 8pm and got back to Melb the following night before sun came up... but I dont think Marcia would have been traveling with that kind of urgency in my opinion. She was just going to see her parents it didn't sound like there was a situation she had to urgently attend to or any kind of emergency...
Yeah it's a two day drive for sure. Unless you're a trucker on meth you have to stop for the night. The route she chose was weird, most people would just go straight north through Shepparton.
I love your channel and I watch all your videos. Very respectfully I would like to give you my opinion. I watch your videos while I'm at work and unless I'm really paying attention to everything you say I miss a lot of it because the cadence and tone of every sentence is the same. I can only compare it to when a literature teacher makes a student read in class. I'm sure you are reading a script but in my opinion it would be more engaging if it had a more natural, story telling, cadence. I hope you don't take that the wrong way, if you ever read it at all. I have to agree. I can't imagine much worse.
Not knowing is essentially torture definitely agree with you
Aussie here. Thank you for telling her story hopefully this may bring attention to Macias case
@Tammy Allen same here Tammy and if ur ever down under let me know
Kez do u remember this case? Did they look at the trucker??? I just have a "feeling" about him!
@@Melsincatuation he is a weird loose end isn't he?

The car was low on fuel though.
And it was around the anniversary of her sister’s death.
Dogs getting lost doing potty is not likely - they follow their noses and will return to their owner whether its dark or not especially if he was so loyal and well-trained that he didn't need to be on the lead
I thought the same.l'm Australian-l live in Victoria-and l often think of Marcia and Ziggy. This case has stayed with me.So very sad.
Wow, what the hell was going on with the car? The brother had to break into it after the cops were 'unhelpful'?! Sounds like Police REALLY screwed up there, any forensics lost forever....
From what I've heard, Australian police are notorious for being corrupt and/or ineffectual
You’re not alone!
i feel the same.
She also does not attempt humour in any way or shove her opinion. It is just the facts. Not to mention that she donates money from channel and merchandise to charities dealing with missing people. I cannot stand makeup, humour or faces. It just seems gimmicky.
Heavy Casefiles is the same. You never see the narrator.

Love this channel! Seen all your videos and impatiently await the next.
@Tammy Allen no, I haven't but I'll check her out now! Thanks for the heads up.
Your work is excellent, DC. I hang on every word.
Here in the Southern Hemisphere, we pronounce the name as “Marsha”
I thought it was pronounced like that too.
It has that pronunciation in the USA as well.
@@spiritmatter1553 It is not pronounced that way in Australia or NZ.

And not only there but here in the US - I briefly dated a nice woman named Marcia that wasn’t “Marsha”

I love your voice and I love this channel. Marcia's parents lived their worst nightmare twice. Unimaginable. 💔💔
Her dog was a border collie/cross.
Such a sad case, thx for covering it. and well done pronouncing our Aussie town names! Xx
Thank you for the case upload. Her poor family.
Sad story. 😔
Thank you for covering this case 🇦🇺 🇦🇺
Thanks
This is in my state but I've heard so little about her case, it's heartbreaking. I hope her family gets the answers they deserve soon :(
Another great video! Sad story
Incredible material. Beautiful
Thank you for keeping these cases front of mind. How many families have not had the truth. Hard to watch, how, their souls live on.
Would she have killed herself? We can't know. But I feel strongly she would not have hurt her dog.
She would have made accommodation for her dog to be cared for, I think.
Poor Ziggy. Humans have any number of twisted reasons to kill each other, but it's a whole 'nother
horror to kill an innocent animal.
6:32 - we dont know the direction in which the car was going.
She might have been a passenger in this vechicle, and thrown away the wallet to leave a sign on the road. She possibly knew that something bad is waiting for Her.
Excuse my English.
marcia met with foul play. ziggy was killed or dumped. you know they would have fought to protect each other. my prayers to the family.
no
What a sad story I doubt Marcia is still alive such a shame she and her beloved dog have never been recovered. Thank you. 👏
Crazy trucking industry.
Thanks for the ups👍
Oh yeah the reason why I said I checked a like to this video and my reasons for it I explained, because I definitely don't like what happened and the situation of the story... So there it is again
From Kuwait - thanx a lot for this new stories and bring us victims voices🙏🏻🙏🏻
Very sad. I hope the family gets some closure.
Always enjoy your stories. Ty!😊
Thank you DC for presenting this strange case. Sorry the parents died not knowing what happened to their daughter. Strange for a coroner to rule without having a body but that's his discretion.
I’m born and bred in Edinburgh but you have the nicest Scottish accent I’ve ever heard. Where are you from? 🏴
Thank you for the video 👋from 🇨🇦❤️✌️
Sounds quite plausible IMO
i agree. I never let my gas tank get low ever!!! Poor girl!!
@Tammy Allen hi! Same to you. Thank you. ❤️✌️🇨🇦
I suspect the trucker a bit anyway. With him coming forward it might be a bit like killers who insert themselves into an investigation by pretending to help. He may have seemed to her a bit safer than a person in a car. Darn that they didn't have DNA then from him.

People saying it’s not Marcia it’s Marsha I don’t think that even matters poor woman vanished fml

Thank you
Such a heartbreaking story I feel terrible for her parents and most of all for her...
Truly heartbreaking
It's such a shame.
died in the bush
This is really tragic, so tragic and parents losing both their daughters. Sadly I feel she was probably murdered and Ziggy could have been the dog seen around.
Love your videos 😍
Lived in Seaford, works in Huntingdale and wants to go to Qld via Moe//Newborough/Morwell. Does not make sense.
Yes! Why go through Gippsland? Makes zero sense.
I know this happened before pet microchips, but this type of case is another good reason to get your pert microchipped. If Ziggy or his remains turned up anywhere, the chip would positively identify him and might give a clue as to Marcia's whereabouts.
This is so sad. I hope her family will one day find some closure
The dog is a real spanner in the works here. Without him it would read like a clear cut tragic runaway then suicide. But if that were so the dog would have turned up.
@Tammy Allen Perhaps runaway is the wrong word. ‘Up and left’ might be a better term.
She was really pretty it’s sad that she went missing

People are weird aren’t they?
I wonder if Ziggy took off after something during a stop to let him use the bathroom (or was grabbed by something), and that's why she was distressed, then she vanished looking for him, leaving the car running. The wallet could have happened by someone taking advantage of the abandoned vehicle.
Hmm I wonder if it was empty or just low though. Either way this could have been the case.
@@consciousobserver629 The video says it was low on fuel, but later shows a newspaper saying it was out of fuel. Don't know which one is correct.
Watching this on what would have been her 60th birthday.
I find it weird that she planned to drive to Queensland by way of Gippsland when that is south east of Melbourne and Queensland is north. Why go the long way? It's already a long drive, at least 21 hours and that's if you go north (up through Shepparton and just keep going).
Good point! Hume Hwy would have been the most obvious and direct. Even if she got off it later and went up through inland NSW.
because she was not in her right mind
Would she have taken the other route because it was more scenic do you think?
Hug and love the ones closest to you.
Too bad clues are hard to find in this case.
She stopped to walk the dog before getting gas. She either got run over and the driver concealed it or she is somewhere in the terrain. The truck driver is a liar.
your merch is so freaking cute, I'll have to get some soon
Thank 💐 You so very much young lady for including a description of Marcia's baby Ziggy. I had a 'ziggy' once many moons ago and l agree, she wouldn't have let Ziggy be in danger. She may well have died protecting him & herself. How cruel that her parents never found out either way. And lising *two* children, my lord, could they suffer any more pain??😥 The only good thing is knowing all 5 of them (yes I'm including sweet Ziggy) are together now, for always.
Rest In Peace Marcia with your precious special boy Ziggy. Together forever.

Interesting the direction was opposite.
That doesn’t play well for her state of mind. Sad story, sadder ending.
Also she took out the $50 in Camberwell, which was nowhere near where she lived or was planning to drive. Why all this unnecessary driving?
@@apseudonym Camberwell well that's definitely in the opposite direction! @conscientious observer I couldn't agree more!
How do you pronounce Patricia? I never heard it said Pa-tri-see-ya. I say Uh-meel-yah for Amelia. It just depends where you are from.
Thank you so much for covering this case
Moe is actually pronounced 'Mo-ee" - the area and surrounds including Morwell and Trafalgar are pretty renowned these days for being full of dodgy individuals and people released from prison and psych wards as well as prominent drug use in the area.
@@consciousobserver629 I couldn't even pull over for five minutes to look at a map without getting flashing lights and cops asking me questions!

Overwork is unhealthy, not admirable.
If she had her thyroid removed, she would have been on medication to replace the thyroid hormones. If she went without her medication for any length of time, she would have had little to no metabolic function and would have been in a medical crisis.
She was probably looking for her dog. Makes sense why she is distressed if her dog ran out of her vehicle.

If you're going to trust anybody with "all you're being," you couldn't do better than
entrusting it to a Heeler... intense, protective dogs... like the one in "Road Warrior."

13:50 Does anyone else think it's strange that the missing info says "possible neck scar from thyroid surgery"? Did she have the surgery? If she did, then there is a scar
Could have been well healed so may not be that noticable
All of my scars disappear so maybe she was a quick healer too 🤷♀️
Scars can be removed. My cousin had her thyroid removed and a big, ugly scar formed. About a year later she had the scar removed. Couldn't tell she ever had surgery. I think Marcia had a breakdown.
Yes she had thyroid durgery
To drive from Victoria to queensland it would at least take 48 hrs to complete its a long drive one i v done many times
Depends from where, without stopping on current roads, 20hrs Max from Melbourne to Queensland border. But back then the coastal hwy took forever.
