I consider myself an intermediate crocheter having mastered the crocodile stitch and fpdc, bpdc, etc. but for the life of me I cant get this to work out. I left it for now but I will be returning because the stitch is lovely and it's going to bug the heck out of me until I can I understand where I go wrong. My ends don't look good and I don't always end up with the 3 stitches on the end to finish. I have an end that always looks very loose and rounded. Maybe from how I hold it? You're a wonderful teacher and I won't give up. Thanks for this video! If you have any idea where I'm going wrong I'd appreciate any tips or advice. Thanks again!

Hi Glenda thank you for your wonderful channel I love your tutorials. I was watching one yesterday and started a scarf pattern which consisted of a row of double crochets. The next row Was skip one double and do a front post treble in the next double, go back into the skipped double and do a front post treble in that one then double crochet in the next stitch and repeat across. row three was doing two back post treble crochets and then a double across the row. I cannot find your tutorial could you please direct me to find it I’m trying to finish the scarf and I need your tutorial.

Gillian I do not have a pattern for a slouchy beanie at present time. Most all my patterns are copyrighted and owned by the yarn companies so I am just now starting to design for the public so it is going to take me a while to build up my public based patterns. I am making them as fast as I can, your idea is on my future to do list. Thanks for stopping by my channel

    • @CreativeGrandma

you can but you will need to jump the starting chain up as well, this stitch pattern also makes a very nice table runner or place mats.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but no matter how many times I tear this out, re-watch the video and count every stitch...several times... I still don't come up with 8 of those double crochet cross stitches. I'm an intermediate crocheter, so you can imagine my frustration. Has anyone else having the same problem? Creative Gramma: any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?
    Thanks!

Karen, I list the multiple of the stitch pattern so you can increase your starting chain to the length desired and then just work to the width desired.
