Compare him to an artist from the same time and genre, Bernard Fanning, who had a solo career which sucked compared to his work with Powderfinger but is nonetheless a household name because of it.

I heard this song on WXRT 93.1 Chicago today and I had to pull over so I could listen at full blast and hope the DJ gave some details about this cover. This outstanding in every way I can measure! A modern interpretation of a Four Tops classic that keeps the Motown feel. This song made my day.

Better than the original??!! Let's not get carried away. This is a _very_ good cover. It honors the grandeur of the original, while adding a hard rock flair. However, the vocalist simply cannot match the majesty of the great Levi Stubbs' voice.
Not even Gloria Gaynor topped the Original, wtf you say?

This is one of those songs I wouldn't be mad at if someone from my complex started rocking it out on their balcony like this. Amazing cover! I love how it relevant it is with the band performing virtually in the video and the people gathering on their balconies. Very well done.
