Living in Sandy, I've hit the Orara hard over the last few years. Just much closer than Clarence or Bello. Always looks the goods, but just seems to be a massive nursery full of JRs. Think i'll get an overnighter (evening bass, swag and morning bass) down Thora way in January. Will hopefully pull some bigger ones out down there.
Good stuff mate. I tried in the Orara yesterday, on my way home from Nymboida River Campground. Unfortunately I didn't catch anything, in three days of fishing. Do U know if there are bass in the Nymboida, as far up as the campground? The spot looked the goods, but I didn't even get a boil. Also, do U know if the Orara is good at the section where the one lane old school metal bridge crosses it, on the Old Glen Innes Rd I think it is (I was on my way back from NRCampground, getting towards Grafton. Thanks bro 🌞
Gday, I’ve got a mate coming up tomorrow hoping for some good bass action, I’ve found a few spots none have been to successful, any spots you would recommend Cheers
Sorry mate only just saw this. Plenty of good spots on the Orara, have a look on google maps and any of the bridges that cross it are a good starting point 🤙🏼
