Firstly: fantastic tutorial! i really appreciate the time and effort you took to make it as clear as possible considering the level of the model. as an already competent folder with aspirations to be extremely advanced in the art I would like to personally thank you for the further knowledge I gained through this particular tutorial. Secondly: i would now like to attempt it with the 206x206 size you recommend but was hoping you could offer some advice on how to construct and prepare a sheet of tissue paper that size in order for it to perform the best it can. Do you have any videos dedicated to doing this or can you give me tips on the matter. thanks once again for such an awesome tutorial
How do you make it stay in shape like that? Is it some kind of a wet folding process or something like that? I mean since you used two tissue, it doesnt really like to stay in shape too well

Would my paper be good enough to fold (for complex models, including this Ancient Dragon) if I would apply MC on to only one sheet of tissue paper and just let it dry? Would the MC have to be thicker if I'm using only one sheet of tissue paper? Also, I love your videos. You're clearly passionate about paper folding, I appreciate your hard work a lot and l hope that you will continue making these wonderful videos. Thank you!
Thank you so much for your generous and motivators words. I feel happy that you like my tutorials. I love Origami, I put a lot of passion and dedication. I only use this type of paper (sirgo paper) a tissue paper treated with methylcellulose to fold insects. It depends on the measure of the square of paper that you use will be the grammage. For example, if you are going to fold this dragon with a paper of 50 x 50cm or less, you could use a tissue paper treated with MC, because this figure accumulates many layers of paper. But if you are going to fold figures with a larger paper (for example 70 x 70 cm) I recommend using a two tissue paper treated with MC. Please, subscribe to my channel to receive your support and you can see my new videos on time. Greetings
I hope I can help you with some difficult steps. Thank you so much for your generous comments. I am happy that you like my tutorial. The greatest satisfaction I can have is help to fold. Greetings
Hi Mariano, I love your work. Thank you for supporting the origami community in this way. You helped me make this model! I was wondering if you would do a tutorial sometime about the final shaping process for your bigger version models that you show at the end. Do you use methylcellulose for final wet-shaping? Do you use wires? I would love to learn more from you about that process.
@@MarianoZavalaOrigami I'm really very impressed with your work, friend! I wish you further success! It is very interesting to follow your creative development.

probably going to be pretty hard to find. but what i find works is just buying some tissue paper packs at the store and if you dont have one a sheet of glass or something else that is smooth and doesn't absorb water (at all). 1. lay the bottom sheet out in one layer as smooth as you can. 2. get another peice of tissue paper and roll it tightly around some tube longer then it is wide 3.mix some white glue (like the kind in schools) with water at a 1:1 ratio (some people use wallpaper paste instead, both work though) 4. lightly but thoroughly coat the first sheet with glue water mixture. roll the other paper as smoothly as possible on top. 5. if need be smooth it out more by hand, but be careful it can rip. 6. let it dry overnight or until try to the touch. 7. flip and let other side dry if need be. cut into a square and it should be good. to add more layers follow the same process. at least this is how i do it. the paper turns out great usually (just make sure you get tissue paper that doesn't rip easily when wet and you should be fine).i recommend a small paint roller or sponge brushes for spreading the glue.
when people get famous when they make something cool like that. i always wonder, " how did they figure out that they can make it, do they just randomly start folding and then 6 years later they finally get this?'
