    If Michigan wants to play Bully ball, we're going to need extra possessions. Turnovers will help. Special teams will make a difference in field possessions, maybe a blocked punt or a great punt return will be the difference

    They will definitely need to get a lead out the gate on Michigan Silas Bolden speed may be big in this game.

      Quinn has stated Bond is a speedster considering he played two years with Worthy as a comparison. Most analyst have also said Texas receiving core may be the fastest they've ever had as a unit.

      Bolden’s speed and agility remind me of Worthy more so than Bond.

    it's gonna be a battle every week. but at least we will have honest referees and great opponents.

      You won't think so on the refs. Fans of every conference think their own refs are the dumbest and most crooked.

    I don’t quite understand the blanket statements usually about aTm DL and defense. The edges they have power rushers (not speed rushers) but even still they will be a handful for most all teams. Inside I don’t think aTm willl be that stout especially against the run.
    Shemar Turner at DT is a good pass rusher but he’s not a dominant run defender and the other guy next to him Regis or Hicks aren’t necessarily good against the run either although Regis might be there best interior run defender.
    The LB’s are ok. Yes I like York but he’s still 5’10” and very small. The Pitt LB transfer is solid at best but not great.
    The secondary is a huge issue for them outside Bryce Anderson who moved to safety and that was a good move as he struggles some in pass coverage man-2-man.

      Elko builds stout defenses up the middle and he has a lot to work with.

      Pretty much nailed it. They have speed rushers in Scooby, Enai White, and Sylla. But not very seasoned aside from Scooby.
      You underestimate York, freshman All-American. Loses Cooper but still.

    when A&M joined the SEC.. it was agreed texas longhorns could not join the SEC.. when A&M leaves the conference.. texas will follow.. because thats what they do

  • @TylerEubank
    @TylerEubank 5 місяців тому +4

    Decent stuff. I’ll make this correction about A&M. Their OL isn’t young. They return Zuhn(LT), Dewberry(LG), Nabou(G->C), Bisontis(RG), Fatheree(RT).
    Weigman doesn’t “get hurt every single year”. He won the job end of his freshman year ‘22 and beat West champs LSU convincingly. ‘23 was his only injury.

    • @LJfootball14
      @LJfootball14 5 місяців тому +1

      Weigman has a history even prior to aTm of being hurt including multiple Concussions.
      aTm OL was below avg last season and besides Dewberry, nobody is a plus player with Zuhn being average at best. Zuhn and Nabou were terrible in the spring game and Bisontis is NOT a tackle and lacks strength in his upper body and his core.
      Weigman was hurt in 22 and hurt in 23. Not sure what your point is especially when you consider his injury history at Bridgeland. Weigman was on his way to playing really badly against Auburn before getting hurt in that game which ended his 23 season.

      @@LJfootball14 I think he was just saying they weren't young.
      Not that they were amazing.
      Also, we had a draft pick that 2 years ago was an ABSOLUTE TURNSTYLE, but the next season was pretty got dang good.
      So, idk.
      I still think it's and underwhemling-ish line. But it's aTm and they have been seething for what, more than half a decade? They'll come to play.
      I don't think it'll be enough. But, we should respect our opponents.

    • @TylerEubank
      @TylerEubank 5 місяців тому +2

      @@LJfootball14 not gonna argue with you he did not miss any games in ‘22 due to injury. Yea he was concussed at Bridgeland but that’s not what this guy talking is referring to. He didn’t look good against Aub and the OL isn’t necessarily good but they aren’t young.

  • @Kelly_HornsUp
    @Kelly_HornsUp 5 місяців тому +3

    why was Anthony Hill moved to inside linebacker? He is so athletic and quick he can make plays, take down running QB's etc. Now he is going to get tangled up with a lot of big bodies and have to learn a new position?

    • @firghteningtruth7173
      @firghteningtruth7173 5 місяців тому +3

      That was always his position.
      He was moved to the edge to contribute early.
