Many Thanks for sharing your video , I've been a member of the N.S.W. Rail Transport Museum since 1980 & I've seen 6029 when it was a part of the A.R.H.S. museum in Canberra & I'd love to see it in person again some day as Perth Western Australia is so far away from "home" to see it regularly ; the A.D. 60's were 100Ft long & sadly only 4 of 43 of these loco's still exist today with 6042 being is such "sad" condition near Forbes while 6039 is still in reasonable condition at Dorigo while 6040 is also in reasonable condition at Thirlmere so hopefully some day 6040 will be restored to operational condition as well , however , 6043 was never completed when it had arrived in Oz so it never went into steam.

I seem to remember that as a kid in the late 1950’s at South Grafton, I watched the turntable there in use. My earliest memories of seeing a garret was as I was starting school at Menangle when I was 5 and living with my grandmother. She was the postmistress, I guess that was 1950 and I’ve loved steam ever since!

Beautiful giant loco. Wish Märklin would built a H0 model of this.

Various makers have made an HO scale model of the mighty AD60 class loco's of Australia from a company that was called "Workshop 5" back in the 70's to Samhongsa in the 80's & Eureka Models in the 2000's onwards but these are all in 2 rail pick-up's only plus Aster did them in G scale ( Live Steam ) for an expensive price ( $16,000 Ozzie dollars ) , I have a video of the Eureka Models AD60 class on my channel via this link provided here - ua-cam.com/video/PkLXX6LPh78/v-deo.html should you wish to see it at all plus there's some video of the Live Steam model in G scale on 1 of my other videos too should you wish to see it.

    Measure twice, fit once?

Fitting isn't an issue. The turntable is ex-Enfield and was designed to be able to turn a Garratt.

How many horse power does it has

Tractive effort is the measurement used not so much horsepower and from the wiki the Garrett had 59,560 lbf (264.9 kN)
      later 63,490 lbf (282.4

Reality would be around 3000 HP. The NSW 60 class were the largest steam locos in the country, and could (just) outpull a 57 or 58 class.
