Love the videos man💪🏻 Highly recommend a dump trailer. Started out with something similar to what you have now and once we upgraded to the dump trailer it saved us SO much time and energy. There are certain models that sit lower to the ground than other models. We’ve got a 14x7x5 Hullporter dump trailer and love it.
Thanks an Interesting I need to look more into it, the only complaint with my area is at my landfill the hydraulic dump line is always a lot longer than a hand unload line so I don’t know if it would save me a ton of time but yeah definitely would save energy
Hey man, really enjoy the videos. Been watching since the beginning. I agree with Cj Antonson about making the move to the dump trailer and think you should really consider it, especially if you're going to be saving some money on your advertising (from your recent video on marketing ). Yes, the dump line may be much longer, but you're going to be able to load SO MUCH more, especially with a 15 cubic yarder or larger. Plus, the reduction of physical stress of having to unload the trailer by hand. Our company started with a trailer similar to what you have now and made the jump to the dump trailer about one year in and love it. Plus, you're in Florida and have trailer maker Top Shelf Trailers in Yulee. Check them out if you haven't already. Really consider getting that dump trailer and keep the hard work going. HWPO!
That looks like a piece of brass, which is worth about $2/lb. Most scrap yards won't accept it with wood. But apparently it wasn't because brass wouldn't weigh that much. I think you need to learn more about the metals. Different metals are worth different amounts. Brass and copper are worth much, much more than regular scrap. That's where the money is. Cut wires, copper pipes, take apart motors, radiators, remove brass pipes and fittings, brass lamps, etc.
I have a 2500 lbs atv winch in my dump truck and pull the pianos up the ramp on a 4 way dolly. I might add that the piano is ratchet strapped to the dolly.
Good video bro just be careful lifting up heavy stuff I can't stress it enough because I pulled a nerve in my back and it's called parathetica meralgia it's a pinched nerve going down through your groin and the thigh part of your leg 🦵 stays numb the skin ontop and the side of the thigh leg and hurts like a devil in the bone not good bro..I'm going to have to get surgery to correct it well I think they cut the nerves but anyway never hardly be the same so I sure don't want it to happen to you my young friend take care and God bless you buddy
Pianos are no fun that's for sure. I'm a bit surprised you let go of your marketing team that quick. Would you mind going into detail as far as what made you decide to let them go. I am in a similar situation butnot knowing anything about google ads makes me nervous to get rid of my marketing team. Any info is much appreciated man 👍
Yeah definitely the shorter answer is they were running my Google ads for me on my own google ads account so I could see how they were doing it and I didn’t like it. They also were using most of my budget on service based ads and those are pretty much automated I can do those myself.
I worked in a warehouse that had a trash compactor. The owners son needed to get rid of a piano. I thought it would be fun to put the piano in the compactor. Took me 3 hours to smash that stupid thing. It sucked.
My trailers 6x12x4ft and I could upgrade to a dump now but I kinda like the low decks of these type of trailers and lightweight. Could use another foot around the top tho to make this thang bigger!
Do you take payment the day of? Or do you typically allow clients a couple days? Not sure if you have made a video regarding specific payment details but would definitely appreciate it if you haven't
I do the same thing. With company’s I’ll typically give them 5 days to pay but with general customers I expect payment at the end of job and if I know it going to be a huge job I will also request a small up front payment.

Been following you ever since I started! Great content man, when you gonna get a dump trailer! :)
Idk I kinda like might setup, I just really like the low decks was thinking of adding another foot around the top.
Might want to start some dumpster rentals there. $1500 for dumpsters and only $170 in dump fees is pretty good profit margin.

Was about to say, would be so clutch to set up a winch in a trailer for super heavy stuff!
Shoulder dolly would have made that piano easy to lift. Highly recommend.

Our dump feed here in NY is $125 a ton. I would have charged $4500.
Crazy. Dallas area is 65/ton. South Florida 42/ton.

what size is your trailer right now and when do you think you'll upgrade to a dump trailer?

You forgot to mention the weight in the load that was interesting to know
Flat 4 wheel dolly and just roll it up the ramp
Do you take payment the day of? Or do you typically allow clients a couple days? Not sure if you have made a video regarding specific payment details but would definitely appreciate it if you haven't
If it’s for a company I’ll give them a few days to order a check but for residential most of the time take same day.
I do the same thing. With company’s I’ll typically give them 5 days to pay but with general customers I expect payment at the end of job and if I know it going to be a huge job I will also request a small up front payment.
Can ramp come off?… would be easier
Don’t think so idk never tried. Good question
u could have sold a large part of the things
Definitely
Lol top g 🤣🤣
What size trailer do you have?

Next time with the piano 🎹 post on Facebook for free so u don’t have to dump it save money that’s what we do
Thought about it but thing was pretty beat up
People will still get it it’s free and they will resell it that’s what we do but hey didn’t think about taking it for scrap but just weighs to much
You didn't factor in medical costs. One of these days you're going to rupture a disc and you'll be on the couch for weeks or months. Be careful
Already have a bulging disc from motocross 😭
