I miss running cable skidder. The art of first felling trees for ease of choking and pulling line, retrieving line , putting a roll on the choker or routing around a stump pushing the tree being pulled around it, all the little things. Thanks for the memories 🤔😊
Have you had any issues with your 602? I’m demo ing a dual function grapple 602 with a winch. So far I like the power. Cab has no storage for helmet water jug tools? Probably have to make storage box somewhere. Any info is appreciated.
Doug Fox this one has had several hydraulic leaks. All loose fittings. Haven’t been able to go two days without a leak. Really bummed because I really like it otherwise but I’m quite nervous about future issues. I really appreciate your info.
So both of ours had several leaks first couple weeks. They were all lose fittings and they told us they thought the factory was torquing the fittings but not tight enough. Once we got all of them tight they seem to be fine. I really like the performance of those little skidders.
Travis Yake it is almost the same weight as what a 640g3 was so it sets well. More power than a 540, less than a 640 but it is hydrostatic so it never stalls and doesn’t power out. Only notice the less power on uphill skidding. It’s my favorite out of everything I’ve ever had because it’s narrow 102” but still really stable. Big advantage when you are select cutting and building roads.
