Ax, rope, knife, shovel and metal pot. Those are the 5 tools i would want if stranded on an island.
Ho many people are going to complain that you painted this? I say you should have painted it purple!
Very cool project Steve!
Thumbs up for the new hose.
Still great nearly 9 years later :)
can't stay away from the wood, even at the end your fondling that 4x4 lol
Thank you so much for the wooden circle jig, just saved me $40-50 for a piece of plastic. Nice job on the painting too.
I love it. Thank you....perfect..thank you Steve.
Nice idea, especially to build together with Kids, they'll love it!!
People around here often just hang a old rim from a carwheel with a long screw on the wall. It's done in one minute and does the same job. Dosen't look nice, but it's behind the house, nobody normally sees it. otherwise the rim can be spraypainted too...
I like it, is very simple and easy. Thanks from Mexico.
I dropped you a line to say your shows just keep getting better. Atta boy Steve!
good project steve. my concern is finding studs behind the siding without ruining the siding.
Fun! Fun! Fun!
Fallen out of love with your drill press Steve?
Nice idea.
Wow! Amazing surprise, now your videos are subtitled in Spanish.
For those who do not speak English this is perfect!
Thank you very much for sharing your summer project, see you next week.
Another great video steve
Really nice and handy!
Great project sense I don't need one for a hose I think I might make one for an extension cord for the shop.
What a great project. It came just in time. My garden hose hanger just broke over the winter. Cheap Plastic one. This looks like it will last a long, long time. Thanks Steve!
Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
On the list of the best things in life a new garden hose has got to be in the top 5 for sure! :) I like the project a lot!
Regards
Chris
I like it! Keep up the great work Steve.
That's a great idea. Way better looking than the old rusty steel one that I should get around to replacing. I'll paint mine to match the house trim.
Steve, you have no idea how good it can use the subtitle in Spanish and then put the translation into Portuguese. Is excellent! I hope you get well over hundreds of thousands of subscribers. Thank you! [Google translator]
The Pallet wood comment at the end....whickedfrickenawesome!
Hey Steve grate video but you should do more stuff that doesn't use too much tools.
Brilliant!! Why didn't I think of that.
Nice demonstration of how you can do circle dados. I also like your painting of this one. Fitted very well.
I've seen this Englishman, northern accent IIRC, can't find the video, he didn't screw on the circle cutting jig but just stuck the router in using that copying collar. And no lengthy dowel sticking out of the centre. That way, he didn't need to guide the router all the way round, changing his hold, but just carried out one swift back-and-forth motion, basically like a crankshaft. Swoosh-swoosh-done.
That's a really useful project! Hose reels are a nightmare when they get all tangled up. With one of these, I imagine it doesn't matter.
Nice one Steve... However as it is hidden away at the side of the shed, I rather go for the easy option, and use an old car wheel rim!
wow, the paint job really makes this project totally AWESOME. very cool.
Nice one!
Next great idea..build a Novuss table. Awesome table game for adults, kids..for all.
P.s.Greetings from Latvia.
Great project Steve.
Steve it is okay to spoil yourself once and a while. Great job.
Good one Steve. I'll have to make one very soon.
I really liked to watch you setting up the tools (I learn a lot from you). Thanks for sharing!
great project might ,need to hang the hose up if you have a ban !
Excellent Project!
Regards,
Bob

great project. I need 1 of those except the outside of my hose is concrete and aluminum siding. Really hard to attach. I just spent the morning installing an outside water spigot. Previous owners removed it long ago.

Was that sun meant to be an art deco style sun? There's a lot of art deco buildings in my town, and it really reminds me of that style

Nice project, sort of looks like the Shell logo :)
5 Top tools on a desert Island = Elizabeth Haselbeck, Sarah Palin (does she count as two?) , Nicole Petallides, Gina Loudin
I need one of them, I can't wait to mess it up, crosses fingers
Awesome project, thanks for sharing. In our area I would use a heavy duty wood preservative and maybe cedar or treated wood. Even at that, we would half to take indoors each fall. This is the best UA-cam site on internet. A+
Mathias hammering style :)
I was told this Ramsey guy was a top chef, but he cant cook for the life of him. His woodworking is s brilliant, though! :-) Wokwork = 1/10, Woodwork = 10/10

i love how you say "peter lindström" ;P
Dang Steve, you beat me to it. I was thinking about making a video on something like this. My new place doesn't have a spot to hang the hose in the front yard.
Lets all have a week where we make a hose hanger! "Hose hanger week! " :)
I liked that project is that an old router and what is that building you put the hose on

Is everything in your house made out of wood?
You got hosed on this project, Steve.
Hey Steve, I'd offer to make some unique music for your program like you said on MereMinutes, being I play a unique instrument (channel plug) but being an engineering student is kicking my butt with time constraints. As always, love the videos
How about having your plans in Sketchup V8, V14 sucks, can't open
