Thanks for watching!
It's a little sad watching Bert going back into the coup and seeing all but one egg gone and didn't want to leave it. 😪 It has been great watching your family grow up and spending time with the animals. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Thanks, Kerry. Yes, that bummed me out, too. Hopefully he gets a successful hatch next year as a reward for his efforts this year
@@whitehouseonthehill❤
The emus need another enclosure for eggs and a separate one when they are broody
Please tell me the name of the website from which you buy eggs❤❤❤❤
@@whitehouseonthehill aw •o•
Poor Bert, he tried so hard ! My heart breaks for him 💔. I hope he has more success next year. He is definitely ready to be a dad.
Just the mere thought of how those bad eggs smell is enough to make me yack! You're a brave man!
I love how you still run with them ❤
The emus run like jack sperow 😭
@@kairahaley1737FOR REAL 😭👏😂💀
Bert looked so , sad! Bless his heart he worked so hard. Praying they will be fertile this fall ! Prayers continuing for ya’ll’s hard work on the farm! Thank you for keeping us updated!😊
When Bert walked in and saw the eggs were gone it was so saddening🥺. I hope in the fall he can lay on some more eggs and be a good parent. I love your channel and your videos, I love just watching your family have fun with new animals and projects. I’m excited to see what’s coming next😊.
Bert looked sad when you took Bert's babies
بس ص g😅
I'm sure the coming year will be better for the Emu and their eggs.
I get more and more excited for the aviary every day!!
God bless you all!! 😊
Bert is a good dad! Hopefully he can set a good example for everyone else! And hopefully he'll get his chance to be a proud papa!
I found your channel last year when I had covid in Juli and immediately binge watched your videos. Now your uploads have become my "feel-good" weekly videos even when things not always look so great. Thank you so much!
Nah Bert looking like he forgot to go down w the dinosaurs 😂😂❤❤
The fact that you still find the motivation even after issues is very impressive. I wish you the best!!!
❤❤❤❤🤞🤞🤞🤞
As a guide, the incubator will need to be run at a constant temperature of 35.25-35.50C (dry bulb) and a relative humidity of 45-50% [26-27oC] (wet bulb) throughout the first 50 days of incubation. The eggs will require turning a minimum of three times per day.
I hope this helps next time!!!
I'm pretty sure that's was not the problem here, cause they know how to incubate emu eggs, Bamboo, peek-a-boo and cashew are a living proof of that. They made the 3 of them hatch a few years ago
@@mikal3987 in the incubator
Poor baby Bert. I feel bad for him. He’s a strong baby Daddy. 😢
Lovely video love your boys running with the emus ❤
Thank you 😊
I love to watch your channel and see the kids playing with the emu's! What you are teaching them is priceless.❤
It’s sad looking at Bert with no babies
😢
Very sad, maybe next time tho!
Bert is going to be an incredible father one day.
Yes it is 😭 but they had to take them. ❤
Yeh I hope heel have babys one day♡♡
My Peachicks just started hatching today! 3/5 so far. This is my first batch of Peafowl, but I've followed your attempts for the past 3 years. I know that having repeated failures sucks, but you documenting your experience has really helped me have a successful hatch and be prepared for the specific challenges these fragile little dinguses bring.
Emu's look so alien. I loved watching them run with the kids! They might be happier in a larger enclosure, maybe this is why they are not having babies? Might be too small... but I don't know anything about Emu's. They just look like they could use more space. My chickens always want more space though, so I might be projecting lol
Poor Bert all that effort he put in. He going to be a good dad once he has babies.
Yes he will he cared so much about those eggs
Bert is a good boy! He definitely fits in with the rest of the fam!
Bert just wants to be a daddy!! 😭😭😭
I think you should buy a fertile egg just for Bert to raise
I’m sad for Bert he needs to be a Father.
Its sad seeing all the other baby animals but no baby emus.... Bert did great taking care of them they just didn't hatch... Rest is piece unborn emus...❤
The eggs weren't fertile - nothing died..
Wow I was really looking forward to seeing these eggs hatched. Try again next year? FYI Great channel and Awesome family. Can’t wait for the Aviary to be done so we can see it all come together. I hope to leave NYC and make my own homestead some day. You and your wife are really inspirational!! Shout out to the gang and the girl lol
All the best for the next time
😢❤❤❤amazingly responsible animals worth a lot of respect.
I am not sure is this would be a great idea, but maybe you can place the rotten egg inside a plastic bag then whack it open so it won't splash on you.
It's sad not having any of the egg developed, but best of luck next fall!
I love bamboo I’m so glad he gets to grow up with the boys
I bet the animal trying to take dinner got one heck of a surprise when it opened, lol.😅
it’s sad seeing bert putting so much dedication into the eggs but in the end none of the eggs hatched
See you since 3 years. Love from Bangladesh ❤❤❤
Bert is such a sport! It so sad that not a single one was even a little fertile😢
To preserve the egg shells, nextime what about drilling a hole on the top and bottom and blowing the yoke and white out the hole? Maybe with an air compressor. Maybe you could do a collab with BobbyDuke and he can carve another egg
I love coming along on your journey. Bamboo is such a love.
😔At least he tried. Love the content pls keep posting
I really hope you get those emu chicks! Hopefully next breeding season!
Least you know Bert will be a fantastic daddy next year.
I just love Bamboo ❤ He’s such a fun loving character who returns your love.
Bert did everything right. So did you guys. They just were not fertile! Hopefully next breeding season the girls take to the new boys. I bet they will. They needed more time to bond! Love Bamboo ❤️ He's such a good boy. Joey is so fluffy! Is she blowing her coat? 😂
Yep, next year should be much better for fertile eggs
I totally agree! Next year they will be more used to another.
Your motivation is commendable. You guys never give up even in the most jaw-breaking situations ❤.
Thank you for the content and all of your hard work.
amazing work love the vids and subbed with the bell ty for showing us your animal experiences💗💗👍👍
It's so sad that nothing became of the eggs.
Bert is so desperate to become a dad😢
Sad for Bert cause he gave the eggs his best shot.......Thanks y'all 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏👍
I love your videos, i have been watching for many years!! Keep up the great work
Thank you 😊
Bert broke my heart! 😢
He looks so sad😢😢😢😢
Haha the boys running off from the offensive smell when the eggs cracked 😂😂😂
What a beautiful family and life you all have. You shield your children from nothing, and they have a very happy, full life. Well done. Poor Bert so desperately wants to be a daddy. I hope he gets that chance someday soon.
amazing video filled with the best content!
I haven't seen the emus chasing the boys in a while and it's good to see it again ❤😂🤣🤣😂
I know you had to take the eggs, but it was so sad. My heart just went out to Bert, he tried so hard.
Sorry Bert I hope heel become a lovly dad one day and thanks Jake for shering this to us ♡
Sorry the eggs didnt hatch this season. I'm sure next year will be better. I know they're cared for well, but please give the emus more space as you have it. 😊
Poor Bert
Sorry the emu eggs were infertile this year. Hoping next year is better. Great video!
So sad looking at him I’m an 11 year old from India and I really love your hatching videos and others too lots of love from India!
I'm so emotional right now. Bert looked so perplexed.
It's hard to see Bert so dedicated to eggs which failed. On a positive note, Bert knows the process, and will be ready, and willing next season. It was goos to see Bert outside enjoying a cool down spray of water.
I was so hopeful for bert.❤
I just feel bad for lovly Bert ♡♡
Need a trail cam up by the nest. Blessings for your next procreation attempts. Those birds love your boys petting them.
Since I live in Australia emu mothers tend to leave there eggs with the dad. If the mother gets to the egg she will eat it because of the malnutrition.
It hit my soft spot, poor bert😭😭😭😭
Didn’t know I could feel such empathy for a bird and a male at that. But he had the look I had when having the 15th negative pregnancy test in 15 months .. 💔
My first took 2.5-3 years. Don’t give up 💜
Nice work ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Lovely to see peekaboo running with the boys brings back memories of when peekaboo did it when he was tiny .
Gooo!!! Bert!!!
the peacocks look beautiful I would see it there are different colors out in the world ^^
I love peacocks they are beautiful birds 😊
Please find a little emu for bert to care for
poor Bert.... but I guess his determination at least proves he will be a good dad when you do get some fertile eggs.
You are such an awesome man. Your family is truly blessed.
I see wonderful things for you and your family going forward. You and all of your family are a permanent names on my prayer list.
The circle of life doesn't have to be really painful even though at times we have to learn painful lessons to learn.
You guys inspired me a lot to have my own chickens and my own ducks and I’m sad to see bird I almost cried because birds is like no I don’t want my eggs😢
Maybe they have not really mated that’s why they’re not fertile yet. Hopefully for the next batch soon
I thought I was going to see a giant sunny side up.... those are huge!
Please show us the rooster you got as a prize!🐔🐔
They didnt keep it. When one of the boys, cannot remember which one learned he would be the sole caregiver he gave it back 😂
literally my favorite youtubers! You'll get these chicks eventually! I love you guys!
I just now imagend just a soldier in war just trhowing emu eggs and the eggs just explode
I’m sorry Bert, Fingers crossing next years you’ll be a happy Daddy.
aww. I know the eggs weren't viable but I feel sorry for Bert. He would have made a great daddy. Maybe next year! I never knew that Emu's like water so much.
I admire your motivation with the Emus
I looked at bert then I noticed that he was saying:where are my eggs t-they aren’t here my babies 😢
It was so sad when you showed the bucket of
Bert’s eggs
I'm gonna pray for bert
I am crying that he lost his eggs… 😢
Well this was much sadder than i thought it was gonna be 💔
One thing I have always wondered is if you fenced a large section of your property could you release the emus out?
Poor bert he just wanted to be a dad
bert and ernie lmao
Sorry Bert, that was a great practice run though! Also @ 1:42 I noticed you could be a model for The Jim Henson Creature Shop.
(That's a nice way of saying Bert looks like a Skeksis) 🖤
Don't worry Bert, you'll get another chance!
Bert was doing a good job for carrying👍🥺 maybe next time
I love ur channel from Sweden 🇸🇪
It is so nice to be with family ❤
I think your right, next year will be better,😁💯🌻
I hope bert has babies soon
Do u have any idea how to take care of the little chickens
Too funny. They need their new home. Loved the video. So fun.👍✌️🥰🇨🇦
U should extend the emus enclosure
PLSS
So sorry about the eggs but I will keep my fingers crossed for the next round
