I was there in May with my other half, I proposed to her at Piazza della Vittoria, she said yes, it was perfect, red rose bushes everywhere. It's a beautiful place, we visited Capri, it was also beautiful but very busy. Sorrento was perfect,we only discovered the old harbour the day before we were due to fly home so didn't have the opportunity to eat there, we will when we return. We are going back in June 2023 for our honeymoon. It was our first time in Italy, we will be back many times. Hoping to buy somewhere there when we retire 🤞
May i ask where did you stay in Sorrento Italy.

This town is so pretty that the residents make sure their cars are newly washed and shiny in order to not spoil the scenery.
I've been to Sorrento with my parents long time ago.. it was my late Italian grandma's hometown.. someday i'll go back there again..

We visited Italy in 2014 with a group from the U.S. Sorrento was one of the highlights of our tour. Has tourism come back after the pandemic? We would love to visit again.
@@blessingjohnchelliah4317 And then some. It seemed like everyone who couldn't come over the past two years (we originally booked to go in July 2020) arrived at once. There were even a couple of cruise parties cluttering up the town. I hate tourists in huge gangs. There was no mask wearing except on public transport. Wish I'd worn one in the airport and on the plane though as I came back with covid

@@jerikaplan1265 We stayed just outside the centre in Sant'Agnello, a 15-20 minute walk into Sorrento. The hotel was Grand Parco del Sol, which had a free shuttle bus running from the hotel to the centre. It was a really convenient location. The hotel being a couple of minutes walk from the train station that ran from Naples to Sorrento with a stop at Pompeii. There are also dozens of boat trips from Sorrento to Capri. It was definitely a trip I will remember always. Corfu in 2023 will have a hard job competing

Oh my dear you remind me the mesmerizing vacation I did with my kids this summer we stayed 2 months I made it from USA to Naples then Pompeii ,pimonte,Sant Agata, Positano,ravello , ,Sorrento from Sorrento we took boat to Capri after that we did Amalfi then heading to Rome it's about 3 hours and half driving we stayed all the time at the hotel in Rome close to Vatican cola di rienzo ,then we left all our suitcases at the hotels and we too small one we headed to Venice by train roma termini station then pisa then we came back to Rome have some couple days then we headed to Cagliari (Sardinia) ,villasimius,then we came back to Rome spending couple days then we headed to florence it was breathing country food ,kindness of Italian people ,weather it was super hot but we loved it ,landscaping ,it was absolutely amazing and my kids want to come back again .❤️

We've been to Sorento long time ago at least 20 years ago while cruising the Mediterranean Ocean that includes Rome,Sicily,Malta,Crete,Rhodes,Ephesus,Athens,and Naples!
