- We are On the Road Again, this time to recover a F-150 for a very lucky guy. He slid off the Burma Trail and tumbled 200 feet down the cliff and got hung up on a tree! Lucky to be alive is an understatement! Jump in with Myself, Taylor and Alex! Thanks for all the support on the channel and for all the shares, likes and views! Casey

Thanks for jumping in and joining us for a Near Death Experience! WOW what a mess this was!
Wow Casey that looks like a lot of work can’t wait to get my XJ out here and maybe help out on these with you.
Well, there are all kinds of people. Some people volunteer to help people who need rescued from some off road disaster, and others steal the tires of those who suffer the disaster. You Taylor and Alex are the good guys! Thumbs up to you all! Love your videos Casey, look forward to everyone of em.
judging by the truck, surely the wheels must have been trashed also. 🤷♂️
or did they pull the wheels before nudging it over with another truck ? 😮
I assume someone stole the wheels and tires.
Nice shout out to Randy ☺️. Have heard anything about him in a loooonnnggg time.
Good job
Would have been too tame as the doors on the truck seemed to close!😄
Volunteering is a four-letter-word, “LOVE,” love for keeping the lands up kept and beautiful for others that come after.
It's been a passion of ours for over 25 years.
Lucky to be alive is an understatement.
Casey you guys definitely earned that recovery without a doubt. That was a crazy recovery.
I respect how you have respect for land and don't want to destroy the land or the trails.
Thanks. That is just part of who we are. Taking care of public lands is a top priority.
What a crazy recovery 😳 So glad that no one got hurt. 😮
You know someone will complain you scratched it. Stay safe and healthy and Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
That was a tough recover even going down hill. Crazy tough.
Wow buddy!
🤙
If you are tired, imagine how your winch feels.
Indeed. Poor thing
Wow man that is one beautiful place, as far as the eye can see .
It really is!
Years ago my grandfather drove his saab down that road.
As always, your true heart shows through.
Yippy Skippy what a Drag huh😂...
Great video Casey
Thanks 👍
Finally re-watching here! 👍👍
Welcome back!
Awesome recovery once again Casey. It was cool seeing the guys getting to work together with you on this one.
Love the old Chereoki!
By the looks of that truck I would say he was more than lucky. Not a whole lot left of it! You guys worked hard to earn your money on this one!
Definitely lucky to be alive! All those cliffs up on the mesas are unforgiving, to say the least!! There's no way he woulda lived if he went off the cliff edge to the southwest of there!! That's one of my all-time favorite viewpoints in all of Southern Utah! Thankfully for you guys, you were able to pull it down well enough to attack it from lower on the trail. I'm sure that big "gatekeeper" boulder is still on the trail there. Haven't ridden it in quite a few years on the 4-wheeler, but I don't remember that trail being very wide a bit further up the trail where that big boulder's blocking the trail. Wasn't much wider than a Samurai if memory serves me correctly. Great recovery, gents!
Thanks for sharing and one word........WHEW!!! stay safe, Casey.
Thanks, you too!
As Wrecker Rick would say"You never put a scratch on that bad Larry"!!! Long tough day of rigging for sure.
Now that's a crew that knows what they are doing. @murpheysdiesel is a top notch crew.
HEY! Good morning Casey and Becky!
Mr Casey You guys did an awesome job. Thanks for sharing and stay safe
Thanks 👍
you should make a list of what useable parts are left on the F-150 would be interesting to see just what escaped the wreck
list: steel .....
Boy they sure do like driving off cliffs,Rorey just did one too. Great job getting it done guys 👍❤️❤️👍.
Now that's how you grade a road!
Great recovery. Although it was a struggle to watch.
I struggled with this edit too.
Greetings from the other side
Thanks for posting an lol moment ( am on morphine for pain so going in an out sort of and came out just as ya'all chatting on time-lapse so dopey mind thinking groundhogs being captured chatting about ya'all) oh the way ones mind gos south sometimes 😂😂😂😂
💯👍🤙🖖
Man that truck was up there! 😳
Hey Casey // Taylor & Alex !! WOW !!! Didn't need to send that to the crusher for sure as you guys did a job on that !! HAHA 🙂🙃😉😊 Great recovery with minimal damage to the countryside !! 👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it!
How could anyone survive a crash like that?? Holy moly, that person is lucky!!
I like that maroon Jeep. I think it looks cool.
WOW! Maybe a couple of sawzallz would have been the way to get that mess out of there! Good rescue guys! 👍
Wonder if Robbie Laton would be able to repair that one 😂, good recovery, l think you scratched the duco 😂 a bit 😅thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
Lucky you, got that thing off the mountain wow!!!
Too bad you couldn't call the nearest base and borrow a helo and its crew. That was an uphill battle even though it was down. Nice work getting it off the mountain.
I use to call Nellis AFB during my SAR days. It was epic to have a chopper roll in on a Rescue.
wow he is lucky to be alive..at the same time this is one of the reasons so many trails in Moab are being shut down to many people, accidents crashes etc..great job on the recovery
Idea for your GoPro the antenna rotator radio shack for tv they got them wireless remote control I think ham radio outlet sell them make a pole that fit the GoPro mount it out side you can rotate your GoPro around I bet you get better video then a 360
Mighty long pull! Great job!
Yes it was!
Heck of a drag off that cliff, but I hope the council paid you for grading the road a bit on the way down of the mountain. Fantastic job Lady and Gents.
That was a great video!
Glad you liked it!
It's beautiful
It looks like the fifth wheel hitch survived.
Built Ford Tough 😊
I'm surprised it held together that well.
Looks like that feller had a close shave, on the Burma trail.
In the words of wrecker Rick you guys did a heck of a job ,and didn't scratch one corner on that bad larry😂
Good looking scout ii. With the Terra top. Sure miss my scouts....
Every time I watch these videos, I just can’t imagine living in such a wide open area. I live in central Maine and there is few places that you can see for more then a few hundred yards. Maine is a very wooded state. But, your area sure is pretty..
We love Maine! It has its qualities as well. Love visiting.
Maine is beautiful, I have family in Monroe, but I get claustrophobic out there since you can’t see very far. The wide open west with the mountains is for me.
Looks like a tornado went thru the area !!
Next purchase should be a heavy lift copter😎
That was a rough and tumble recovery. Probably had to pickup many pieces that broke loose on the way down.
It was built Ford tough
Nothing a little Bondo won't fix
That should buff right out.
It’s hiking all the scrap out, to the trucks that would have seen a pain.
Don’t you know what would have made this much simpler ?…
After the folks with all the Monday-quarterback answers jump in, ye shall be enlightened. 🌵🌵🌹🌵🌵🌈
Getting paid would have made it easier
It looked like you were leaving bits and pieces along the way while winching the wreck down. Maybe you cleaned it all up but just didn't show that part of the recovery in this video.
The owners spent hours cleaning up the following week. We spent 7 or 8 hrs on the Job free Gratis. I had a hard enough time editing it down as much as I did. We have a very active off road club here and clean up areas like this quite often.
Gotta be an easier way to grade that trail.
Talk about being stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Were you at all worried about knocking rocks loose and having them coming down the mountain at your vehicles?
Not at all.
👍🏽👍🏽
It would seem that 1992 safety standards are good enough.
Dang how long has that been there?
Few Months
Give it to Robby, he can buff that out.
Who's Robby?
Another good job, Casey. What is the name of that tune at the end of the video? I know you use it a lot. It is a catchy tune, I like it!
Covid come not near or something like that.
How long had the truck been up there
2 mths
Had a 76’ Cherokee Chief S when I was 18 forty one years ago. Who knew a $4,200 truck back then would be worth $24,000 or more today? I certainly didn’t. But then who knew the 74’ VW Westfalia I traded it for along with collecting another $500 I think would be worth $24,000 or more today as well.
Should have called that diesel guy up by you or in Utah and had him use one of his helicopters to gat that out. Pass along the UA-cam content.
Beautiful day to be outdoors. Shame it was collecting trash.
they shoulda call AAA
I guess that’s one way to scrape a road…not a great way…but a way,nonetheless. Great job guys!
👍👍❤️
For Sure. Not much of a road.
1 can of Bondo and a little paint and she will be good as new 😉 !
Would have been terrifying
OOPSIE
Sure hope you didn't scratch it !!!
What happens to all the debris from the truck strewn across the mountainside? 🐾🇺🇸🐕🦺🦮
Hours with bags and buckets.
Think Robbie can fix it lol😅
Who's Robbie?
Really should have disconnected the battery of wrecked truck. Can see mounted light for truck bed was on whole time. One good spark could have made things worse than the hard job that it was
Probably could have made job a one day affair if first half of video wasn't spent canbitzing around then even helper on wreckec truck end had to call down for the chatting to quit and get back to winching. Why no trailer when first came out. Daylight wasted by idle time and chatting.
The truck didn't have a battery or any tires. They had all been stripped. No access with a trailer that would fit a f 150. We winch every minute we were not in cool down time. 25 years of recovery we got the logistics of a recovery figured out.😊
What mounted light for the truck bed and where? Put a time stamp, you're full of it
Please post your expertly done recovery videos so that use unworthy dults may learn from the almighty himself.
I guess this was totaled by their insurance company…!!!
You should have protected the trees better instead of scaring them up 😨
Those trees spend every year dodging a chainsaw. This is an open fire wood cutting area.
@@CaseysOffRoadRecovery gotta love the armchair quarterbacks who are not out there doing the work. They always want to criticize and say how they would have done it better than y’all.
Ah ha… caught one … why do you think that footage was actually shown in the “edited” video?
Could it have been to solicit comments? Naa, who would think-of/do that?
@@billholt1448 you must not know Casey very well. That’s not his style at all. He’s really a stand up guy. He does a lot of recoveries at no charge. Perhaps you have him mixed up with Matt?
You should have gone and done it better
I noticed you guys didn't pick upI noticed you guys didn't pick up the debris field thought when you recovered a vehicle out there you were supposed to pick up does the refill I watch Casey rescue recovery pick up I watch Matt's off-road recovery pickup I watch Rory from trailmaker pick up the Bray so did you or did you not pick up the debris field
We have been cleaning up public lands for over 25 years. We don't film everything. Over 40 man hrs we're involved in this recovery and clean up. The BLM calls us for a reason.
Pay attention we are gonna have a quiz. CORR Gives Back: ua-cam.com/play/PLLtrBvXDxTeJYOSJ5JxeTBTJ_fDWi3Vpa.html
YOU NEED OFF ROAD TRAILER FOR THAT INSTEAD OF DRAGGING
No access with a trailer that fits a F150. I have 6 off road trailers!
The customer won't be happy about the scratches on the roof !!!! Is that really a rock beaten truck ? lol
well that was red neck😄
