Wife always been an American car type, has Camaro z28 for summer ride. She rented one of these for 8 hour drive, said she would consider buying one, nice car, interior, seats, etc, reasonably priced.
Agreed! This is a superior car. The best part is when you go to Honda they say that the civic is the Altima’s competition and the accord is the Maxima’s I don’t think so
Haven’t had any issues with mine 43k miles later. Mines a 19’ Edition One with the Vc-Turbo. Took it from Tx-Va-Fl and it averaged 36-37 from Tx-Va and from Va-Fl I was seeing 42mpg. Impressive for the acceleration the Vc-Turbo has.
@@miking3261 watch the next 10 altimas on the road and you’ll realize that almost all of them have some sort of exterior damage or lack of maintenance, and poor driving.
@Carrington Hollister even then, only the Camry XLE could truly fill the void left by the Avalon. With the Crown priced where it is, I don't think it will sell well.
My younger cousin has a Camry se nightshade awd and it's sporty like this one, but the seats are partial softex with cloth and manual passenger seat, he was close to getting a legacy touring but the dealer won't sell under sticker and Toyota offered discount even if he had to wait for about a month.
I think an SL with all-wheel drive would be a nice option. I've been looking at the accord but it doesn't have all-wheel drive. My only concern is I've heard of transmission issues with the Altima from the past. Any idea if they've made improvements to make the CVT more dependable?
Get the Altima. Most of the people who criticize it have either never driven one. If they did drive one, they operated it like a sports, which it is not. Others who bash the Altima likely did not adhere to the manufacturer's recommended maintenance schedule, leading to disaster. Since 2019, I've had my 2018 SR. I have never left it at the service department for anything more than routine maintenance and battery replacements. In addition to being supremely comfortable, fuel economy is outstanding. It is easy to own and operate, and I regularly receive compliments on how good it looks. If you take care of your Altima, it will take care of you.
Looks like they put the cheap inside rear view mirror. That is, it doesn't auto dip and there isn't any homelink garage door opener buttons. No adaptive cruise control either. What the heck? My 2019 Altima SL has both of those features and it cost less. I do like those new wheels.
I think this refreshed Altima is a fantastic looking car. Nice interior, etc. I own a 2018 Titan P4X and it's been a joy to own. The problem with the rest of the Nissan lineup, other than the Titan and Z continues to be the CVT transmission...I dunno how many folks that I alone know who say they'll never own, or own another Nissan that has a CVT in it. If this car had atleast the OPTION of a 6MT I think it would fare far better..
Owned a 2015 Sentra. Would've been a great little budget car if it wasn't for the dreaded CVT. Got rid of it at 58000 miles with no issues thankfully. Thing was a ticking time bomb.
You left out the fact there is NO brake hold!!!! Could it be Nissan makes it necessary to move up the SL in order to brake hold? It sure looks that way.
I don’t understand why manufacturers aren’t making an attractive cover for the engine any more. If the entire engine is going to be covered with a spaghetti mess of wires, hoses, and lines at least put something to cover it.
It’s good to have AWD when engaging in Altima activities. Need that extra traction for running from cops, cutting in and out of traffic and quickly leaving a hit and run.
Saabkyle inspired all the car reviewers today. Never forget that 😩
Facts
no doubt; mad respect (esp. when he says, "without further adieu"...which many have stolen).

I had the same experience with a rental. I ended purchasing a 2021 sr
Just bought mine today! Truly a beautiful car!
Same.. just bought the one he us demo. Love this car.
Love the refresh look better than the 2023 Honda Accord

I don’t think so
The new accord is a refrigerator on wheels again

Change your cvt fluid to Amsoil synthetic now and every 30k thereafter
So surprised this Altima still has its front bumper, isn’t bumping loud music, and doesn’t cut people off.
True
Why do you say that ?
smh
@@miking3261 Because it’s a true fact lol

When are you going to get back to the Chevelle build?
Seen this at chicago auto show. Absolutely beautiful car. Blows the new accord out the water.
This is the only Nissan I wanna buy it Kyle.
With the Maxima leaving the Nissan USA line up this year, this becomes the largest passenger sedan you can buy in USA with the Nissan badge.
Despite that, the Altima, as good as it is, isn't a worthy successor to the Maxima.
@@travelseatsyellowlab the Camry is the worthy successor to the Avalon NOT that Crown thing

No more Maxima? Wow I’m shocked . Thought there was a good market for that car.

Gotta have that AWD when running over curbs and cutting people off in traffic. Big Altima vibes
Hahah why do I see so many comments like this? Are people who drive Altimas usually dicks?
Hay, you drive like I do!
I’ve seen quite a few of these in the road so far. We have a 2021 Altima SL, we have few complaints.
Super new Nissan Altima
Awesome !!! Review Kyle 👍🤗
awsome video kyle i really love these from 2018 and up 2019 and 2020 are my favs but this is just threw the roof nice thumbs up and shared
The VC-Turbo engine in the Rogue is a completely different, 1.5L 3-cylinder engine than the 2.0L 4-cylinder VC engine offered in the Altima.
Which has more power

The k5 also offers awd too. And Camry I believe

The Rogue and Altima have different engines.
They Rogue does not have port AND direct injection.

The Subaru isn’t the only other AWD option. The Kia K5 offers AWD as well.
