Great vid! Your ability to design chairs left me speechless. They are the most difficult to get correct...structure/looks/comfort! Way to go. But, the best part for me was your helping folks with re-entry into life outside! Thank you. Those folks need our help and support and willingness to give them a hand up! Great job Izzy!

Wow! I know this video is 2 years old but man, this is a nice design. I really like that you're not so low to the ground and that the footprint doesn't stretch too far back. I have a thin front porch, so this style would look great there.

Love them. I’m a furniture designer and have just a couple of ideas you or someone watching might consider. I would through bolt the critical joint and plug them, with plugs from a plug cutter so you don’t get end gain spots. If you are going to have cushions be sure to adjust the dimensions accordingly.if you want to go to the next level, pull the dimensions off perspectively, adds a lot of work with all the angles but well worth it.

A great build. One suggestion. Use epoxy and screws to attach a one inch square strip of Trex or other engineered decking to the bottom of all your legs, no leg rot. Keep 'em coming.

Beautiful design, Izzy! Clicking Like (already a subscriber). These are definitely on my 'to-build' list. As a fellow big guy who makes you look skinny, I like their height over a traditional Adirondack (I generally need 2 friends and an engine crane to get out of something that low -- kidding, but it is a pain). I like how they're lightweight for easily moving them around (again, something you don't do lightly with the traditional design). I like how the front leg connects the arm, seat and rear leg for both strength and asthetics, I like the recessed slats, the whole look!
And ignore the haters on that 2-screw seatback joint. The screw length is substantial, there are 2 of them in parallel (so they're pulling diagonally on each other, like a trapezoid resisting collapsing), plus the arm attached to the seatback is obviously helping keep it from opening up. The armless design might need a half-lap there, but it looks like you already half-lapped the front and rear legs on that one anyway, so you probably did so on the seatback joint as well. (Edit: Just noticed when you're painting that one green, looks like you bridged that joint with a gusset. Very strong!)
Plus, they're gorgeous! Definitely on my 'to-build' list!
