The thing about that Bose Accustic Wave system is the Bigger the room you put it in the louder and heavier it sound. I had one in 2000 and was asked by a curcuit city store manager in Albany Ga to bring it. We were in the back of the store. The whole entire store was amazed of the small size but big sound. Even the customers that came in. They followed the music to the back of the store to here it and started dancing to the sound. Some said that the sound came from everywhere. In 2004 I got the smaller wave cd radio and took it to work on the overnight shift at home depot and still to this day coworkers remember the sound. I still have it and it still plays beautifully just like the day I bought it.
EXCELLENT VIDEO! Seriously, this was very well done. Bose did well back then because they made listing to music easy. Most people do not want or care about hooking up speaker cables and learning about the gear. They just want good sounding music thats easy to play and change. You can either spend time listing to music or spend that time setting up gear and calibrating endlessly.
I remember when I was a kid in the 2000s there was a Bose store at the mall (the whaaa? 🤣) They had the smaller waveguide and you could pull a lever and separate the front plate with the drivers to see how much difference the wave-guide part actually made. It was impressive.
I own the soundlink max. You know what they did with this small speaker is amazing. It‘s a pleasure to take outside. With the long carry strap you almost forget it’s there and it’s the most sleek, stylish Bluetooth speaker for the go on the planet rn i guess. I love the sound. You get a small speaker that sounds about 20-25% bigger than it looks. Bass and treble are amazing mids are laid back and clear but you really shouldn’t push it past 70-80% because it looses itself. You know in order to get this amazing almost fake stereo feel on this tiny speaker Bose used alot of processing on the 2 angled woofers so if you are perfectly in the sweetspot this speaker sounds incredibly good and magical. However move away up or down the magic disappears and it sounds just good but still incredible for the size just down go past 70-80% it’s already loud and bassy enough for like a small 4-5 person chill party.
USPS wants $25 for using their envelopes for packaging. I think the Marshall has a tighter sound. It will be good for heavy metal while pop, jazz, classical would be comfortable with Bose.
Always wanted one they were out of reach at 1069.00 my brother-in-law had one in his kitchen what great sound this was also in back drops in Elaine’s apartment on Seinfeld nice video
I have one. Also I bought it around 15 years ago. Brand new still looks brand new today. I bought the carrying bag for it with the battery. Also, I have the Bose I do 10 got to be close to 1718 years when I got that it sounds amazing still.
I Could hear more crisp highs on the Bose , amazing for an over 30yo cd/speaker ! Father and son spending quality time together, comparing speakers and sound…. The best!
I bought my first Bose acoustic wave in April 1993 , at the time it was the single most expensive thing I had ever bought, I paid 1057 dollars for it even the old car I had at the time I only paid about 900 dollars for But right out of the box I had never heard anything like it, just from the test CD they sent with it , it was amazing there was the sound of a formula 1 racer on the CD and it sounded like I was actually on the track, not long after I got it I was listening to a CD and someone coughed while they were recording the song the Bose was about to pick up that sound I took the CD out and put it in a different player and could not hear that cough sound, put the CD back in the Bose and could hear it, the original acoustic wave that I bought in 93 still works and I have 2 since then the newest one I have is one of the last years they made it mine is from 2016 and they stopped making them in 2027
Still, no name beats Bob Pops. He won in life right at birth. Now, on the subject in hand, high-quality audio equipment back in the day still holds strong in these futuristic times of ours.
I hear a big difference in the Wave vs the Marshall. They both sounded good, but the Marshall had more pronounced mids, and the vocals and keys really popped more. Both are great. Just a preference of style. And your father is wonderful. ❤
Hey Danny pops where did u get the bose acoustic wave music system ii from do they still have available and how much did it cost also do u think it's worth it I had always loved bose stuff since I was a teenager now kinda getting into hifi
I had one just like that in my bedroom back in the 1990's and then a newer one, the "flatter" type with a front slot loading CD player and came with a separate bluetooth box. Never connected well to my phone or iPad. Stopped using the radio since radio is all commercials and worthless programming. The devices were good at what they did. Not high fidelity by any means but for a bedroom or den does a good job. I know a lot of very wealthy people who have these in their homes rather than a dedicated audio system. As of the smell, some old electronics smell a bit oily probably due to aging capacitors, transformers on tube electronics and that sort of thing. Two things I make sure of when buying on eBay, no items that smell of cigarettes and especially nothing that smells of a moldy basement. My view if it still works and brings pleasure to listen to. by all means.
I plugged a bluetooth adapter to the AUX and it connects fine with my Windows comoputer and iPhone, and then usually play Spotify through it. Works well for me.
The Bose beats the Marshall in clarity and depth of sound. The later waves are even better. The v, IV is amazing for its size. It also looks great. Not sure I could use the Marshall again after it being owned by a Bose from the early 90s....a definite case of 'Oh dear'....

Good to see dad dancing away. Enjoy the music. And nice to see you both together.
Bob’s reaction to the packaging impeccable, fraaaaj-jiillee. Impromptu dancing perfect ❤
Nice to see you guys together.
Your dad is so adorable. I want him to be my dad.
I was so happy to see your dad get a new stereo that's a really nice thing you done for him ☺️
Bringing back to life good quality early speaker before the more modern, compact rechargeable battery bluetooth speaker 😎🔊👍
You two make my heart melt ❤
Hey this was so cool and the Bose still sounds really great! Loved watching you two testing it out.
This was such a great nostalgia trip! Thanks for sharing!
Hi, I am new here, I came from the previous dad video too. Just wanted to say I love your dad! Your reviews are awesome!!!

I love to see Bob jamming!
They are the same guy, and go to the same store.

Red red wine is the first song I play when I test new speakers 😂 I’m just a kid for the 90s who loves this song dearly ❤
By the way u have a great dad 👍👍👍🇹🇹

still use my Bose wave radio. not as much as we used to, as we use our phones now for alarm. But its still sounds great.
What a nice guy 🎉
waiting for the Emberton 3 video 🙌🏻🎸
I love the design of that speaker! 90s designs were the best & all we have now is just basic geometric shapes.. be it automobiles & any other.
I love the way he was rocking to that reggae beat. Has he ever been to Jamaica?🇯🇲
Really enjoyed your video ❤
@tanmoysamanta7827 thanks for being here :) 🌟
My dad has the cassette tape version and this thing was amazing!
Love to you both.
Line the red red wine song sounds great you and your dad make great videos. That BOSE SOUNDS GREAT LOOKS LIKE A 901 speaker
Awesome ❤
That was a great radio!!

@@richmck007 you are right I guess I should have put my glasses on before I hit the send button
Great comment but aren't you ahead of your time?
@@richardmoloney689 yes I am a couple of years, that is what happens when you don't ware your glasses when you comment
I BOUGHT mine in 2002, cd works intermittently-BUT sounds So good……..Us older folks want an all in one solution! But it must sound good too!
That packing was actually kinda brilliant. 🤯 Hi Danny! Hi Bob!
HI LEVI!!! Thanks for being here!!!

Hi Danny..can you do a compasion , emberton 3 vs bose flex.. thanks
4:04 ❤😭😢
Place your Bose in a corner on a stand or counter top and the bass will be increased, I have 4 Radio!!!! And I BLAST!! Mine
Considering the microphone effects what we hear, I felt that the wave had a richer base, while the trebble really popped on the Marshal.
Hey Danny can you do some more sound demos at your dad's with the bose and do you think a bose smart home 500 can beat it or the other way around
You should add a sniff test to all your reviews. I like to know how things smell in addition to how they look and sound.
Bahahaha yes
That was a good small system by BOSE, most were not this good.
Bose 501 Quad Speaker user here, including a new Sub.
dadeo and speakers are both great....
Great units. Had 2. Both broke due to power supply (caps) issues. I've had to move on.
Try aiwa old speakers 😊 , even new ones are great
Hi, please can you receive the new Marshall Emberton III and Beats pill
Bose genial 👍👍
You have to have it against a wall and listen from the front
The screen on mine is not working, is it possible to still get them repaired here in the UK?
Thanks in advance.
WHICH BETTER U FEEL BROTHER BOSE AND BETWEEN MARSHAL ?? PLS REPLY I HAVE MARSHAL NOW WUBRON 2 BUT BOSE IS BOSE GREAT SYSTEM

That packing job 😂
If there ever was a song of our childhood it was that red red wine song...
Hey Danny pops where did u get the bose acoustic wave music system ii from do they still have available and how much did it cost also do u think it's worth it I had always loved bose stuff since I was a teenager now kinda getting into hifi
@lyndonramchatesingh105 it was from ebay! I don't pretend that it was a good deal, nor that they will work forever but we wanted to try it here.
Sure no problem Danny I got a bose 321 gs iii from ebay works really well cds play but not dvds but I use it for my Netflix and prime also UA-cam
Your dad will appreciate what you got for him for years to come
Review marshall emberton lll🙏
Fun video! The Bose sounds better, and I'm not a big fan of Bose.

Whats that sound test song?
It's listed on screen
@@theotherhouse5910 can't find it online
It's a custom song from the youtube library

marshall is little upfront
Please give me your answer
I regret giving my acoustic wave music system away
Today's Bose is nothing these are best I have smaller version super
No high, no low. It must be Bose.
Exactly! I have a pair of their Bluetooth speakers and it’s their best speakers yet!
Say that to the soundlink max!
hey dostum baban aynı bir kağıt helva gibidir onun degerini bil lutfen kaybedince dediklerimi anlayacaksın
Dad dance like a white guy! 😜
Plastic trash
I have got the white version of that Bose CD-3000 and it is very good but i have to be honest to my ears the Marshall Woburn III sounds clearer
The Bose beats the Marshall in clarity and depth of sound. The later waves are even better. The v, IV is amazing for its size. It also looks great. Not sure I could use the Marshall again after it being owned by a Bose from the early 90s....a definite case of 'Oh dear'....
