No no a lot of times people steal kids from stores. There was a young boy in florid who was in a store with his mother, they got separated, then an older gentleman came up to him saying "your mom asked me to pick you up" the kid didn't think anything about it then a few weeks later he was found dead and the man was arrested
Honestly kidnappings happen all the time and I would rather have a thousand mixed race parents be slightly annoyed then one child killed or made into a slave.
Can I just point out one thing? The father related how each of his two girls took turns shouting my daddy, my daddy.. whilst one pulled away from him in one direction and the other pulled away from him in the other. Could it be he heard this as they were leaving and had their backs to him so couldn't see smiling faces. It would look like they were calling for their daddies and trying to pull away. And it's perfectly feasible to say to the police the children were dark but the father was white, remember you're giving information over a phone and you need to describe them. If this had been a snatch of children who were black, by a man who was white. Would we be talking about racial profiling then? I don't think was mean to be a mean thing myself.... I think the employ is more than likely crap at explaining himself. And probably said something like, blah blah.. children screaming for their daddy, they were trying to pull away from the man and they were black and he was white so that also made me suspicious! It's a sad day when someone tries to stop what he thought was a kidnapping and next minute he and the store he works at is on the news because the parents of the child said he racial profiled me!! Just saying....
@@LindaTCornwall your hypothesis is possible. Another possibility is subtle racism shaded the way whomever reported it saw the incident. As where normally when you see siblings doing the classic no he's my daddy no he's MY daddy routine you don't think kidnapping when they're all the same race. ya feel me? Either way there's plenty of overt racism around to worry about instead of fussing with this.
"Suspected of kidnapping his three little girls because they aren't the same race" is the most racist thing I've ever heard. Are they "the same race" as their mother???
@@tamaramadison7563 Did you see the WWYD scenario similar to this? They even had a BM and people stood behind the BM, but when they did the one with a WM with a biracial girl it was a different story. Folks are so used to the other way around. It's crazy.
@@theforestfairy485 OMG I'm so glad I'm not the only one that feels that way I was just like what the hell do they mean they're not the same race is their biological father
On the one hand, child trafficking is a big problem so it is important to report suspicious behavior. On the other hand, those kids did not sound like they were exhibiting any distressing behavior to warrant that kind of suspicion.
They tried to do the right thing, but they targeted the wrong guy. Who knows, maybe they've caught kidnappers this way. There has to be a better way to do this though. Atleast they didn't separate him and the kids. Every parent should know never to be separated from their child by an officer. There's a chance a kidnapper could pretend to be security and before you know it they've made away with your child.
Completely agree. I look twice and I'm black. The girls look like him and were calling him Daddy lol. Honestly, I feel the officer is more to blame. He was the one that saw the entire family and still proceeded to question them. Wonder if he'll make detective...
That is the key, do the children look freaked out or scared, or dressed proactively for their age. Was the father looking, saying or doing something inappropriate to the children? You cant just say they dont match.
@@digitallocations1423 The security guard was wrong he didn't act on good instinct but pure bias Behavior. Those kids didn't show any signs of distress all he saw was white guy with black kids. And jumped to a conclusion without getting any facts.
But the kids were calling him daddy and they didn't seem to be afraid of him. I don't blame the police. They still need to investigate calls from stupid people. They have no choice. The security guy is living in a world where white people have white kids, black people have black kids and brown people have brown and aliens have green kids!

I mean I think that’s what they were trying here... Everyone’s just so easily offended no one is understanding they could’ve just been looking out for the wellbeing of the kids because the biological father looks almost nothing like them
The problem is they did that because of the color of their skin, not by the way he was handling them or the way they were acting. If it was based on anything else than maybe your point would be valid. In this case it was just pure racism.
@@KatetheGreat3689 No, it's not. Your problem is that you're so easily offended, that racism seems like the only viable excuse for this, when in fact, it's not. Kids could seem perfectly fine in kidnapped situations, so "how they were acting" isn't good enough in suspicious circumstances. This day and age, a kid could seem perfectly fine but be in dire need of help but no one would act because everyone's afraid of seeming "racist", I'd take the sure thing and make sure the kids are safe every time
A black man babysitting his white friends children gets stopped because a woman is worried he's going to do "something" to the girl but doesn't care about the her brother. A white man takes his biracial children to Wally World and someone claims "they don't fit". Biracial families exist people! Babysitters come in all colors just the little kids they babysit. When I was a teen I babysat some Sioux children, I am not Sioux and I certainly didn't receive much of my 3xgreat-Grandmother's American Indian DNA, I'm sure people looked at me strange when I was up at Public Health getting my vaccination boosters for college. I would've loved to have someone say something as I was 18 and the oldest boy was 7, that would've been hilarious.
And all of them saying "my daddy, my daddy" while pulling him in different directions. That must be a common look of distress for kidnapped kids....#smh
Kidnapping three kids from the inside of Walmart, through the parking lot, to the car, buckle them in, and make a phone call before leaving. The dude must be a master tactician.
Im just glad the guy decided to call for his wife before doing it while on the road. The guy seems responsible, and his wife has 100% authority to get to the crux of why Walmart was being so racist. Its disgusting how simple minded some people may be. Let the man go shopping with his kids!
some folks left school before taking biology or they completely failed. anyone who is alive should already know that Black people and their descendants come in every shade.
Same thing happened to me. My twins father is italian and cuban. My son's look nothing like me. I was at the mall one day shopping for a gift. The clothing store I was in the one employee kept staring. First she said how cute my sons are but she assumed I was the babysitter. Then when she heard them call me mommy she looked startled. Then asked are those really your kids. Well let's just say I had to act my color in old navy. I think they heard me even in the food court. People kill me.
@faultroy so,.. you didn't actual watch the video. Or maybe you just missed the part where the complainant stated "they just didn't fit". You are part of the problem. Attempting to disseminate misinformation in an attempt to change the narrative.
@faultroy you literally just justified the act of pointing out a difference based on race then called me a racist. Put your 2 digit IQ away and run along while the adults have a conversation.
Never people like that can't have any control over there life. Or do not have a life they put themselves in other people lives. I lost my mom more than a year ago and everyone in my family and a bunch of the people were giving me advice it has now stopped but they still think just because I live with some relatives they have a right to know everything that goes on in my life.
I'm white, my wife is black. Don't mess with my kids. For sure should have been some lawsuit against the Security there; even if a customer said something. Security should have been intelligent enough to not call the cops for a, "white man was walking around shopping with 3 mixed daughters, that isn't right!"... C'mon...
But there was no racism. Yea the people who said something to security might be a little paranoid, but would u not call the cops if u thought there was even a 1% chance your kids were getting kidnapped or anyone’s. I would. Nothing bad happened and it’s something easy to explain.
Kids and parents of a different color can be suspicious, as that's one thing they look for when identifying kidnappers, but if the kids don't look like they're in danger, they most likely aren't. That's where they went wrong
@@jazdj04 Yes, but the man is white in this case and the woman is black. It's usually because "suspicious man near kids= creep", even if the man is the kids' father, another relative, or a family friend who is babysitting!

My mate had a similar problem a few years ago when he went to pick up his granddaughter from school, she is black, and when he stood outside the gate to meet her, the teacher on duty wouldn’t release her to him because “she didn’t know him” even though the school has him on their emergency contact list in case neither parent was available, even when his granddaughter stood there calling granddad, the teacher wouldn’t, so he ended up having to go in to the school and sorting it all out, but never got an apology, all the teacher kept saying was “I didn’t know him “, but it turned out that the teacher was new and never bothered checking the contact list.

Not all people are. Those that are nosy weren't raised to respect people. I had that happen too with me and my adoptive dad, who to me was my real dad. Some people noticed his age (he was in his fifties when he adopted me and married my mom. I was about 4 years old at the time) and would say that he wasn't my real father. I guess some people don’t understand that mixed babies don’t come out the same color as their parents..... they come out looking mixed like somewhere in between. Edit: Mixed babies come in different shades
Indeed. Usually I see confusion when it comes to, not all, mostly mixed children who are black and white because, most of the time they do end up darker. But from other peoples experience of being rather a light skinned mixed race, it makes people confused and easily accept oneself because of the confusion and what they call “exotic” nature.
As a mixed child myself I believe mixed people get the worse of situations some times because people try to force us into boxes they think we fit or belong... God Is Good that’s was my thought as well. I don’t think it was done with malicious intent, but the person was concerned enough to talk to security. If indeed he had been a kidnapper, and no one said anything, then people would be complaining that no one did anything.
I was thinking the same, that it's more likely they'd be the same race. People need to focus more on behavior than color. These girls actually look like their father. And, even if they didn't, they weren't under duress.

They tried to do the right thing, but they targeted the wrong guy. Who knows, maybe they've caught kidnappers this way. There has to be a better way to do this though. Atleast they didn't separate him and the kids. Every parent should know never to be separated from their child by an officer. I couldn't tell at first tbh, but I wouldn't go up asking if that's their kids

Honestly I'm black. My mom is clearly a mixed race woman but she's just identifed as black/aa bc it's easier and the black community kind of doesn't like those "I'm mixed" people.
@Rowdy Jr. it's just easier because I don't look enough of the other ethnicities like my mom.

That is so true. Caucasian people adopt Chinese children all the time. They never get followed by security.
Also family friends that look after ur kids or babysitter or nurse ( I’m in home nurse an took my kid patients to mall to the movies ) glad no one called the cops on me

How can little kids abduct an adult? Your comment makes zero sense!
I'm sure you are right.
The same thing happened to my father! He’s white and my mother’s black and I was super young. We went out one day and he was helping me eat a sandwich (another story lol) and then this woman pulled up next to us in a car and she had her own two sons. She was really friendly and pulled me to the side to ask if it was my father and I was like “yes that’s my dad” and then she sighed in relief cause she thought my dad had kidnapped me 😂 tbh I never took offence to it considering my father is not only really tall but significantly older than my mother - it was heartening to know that if it wasn’t the case that my dad was my dad that the lady still stopped and questioned the scenario cause real stuff like that happens
Remember back when I was a little kid my entire family got stopped at border patrol while we were visiting Mexico because according to the officer me and my brother and my sister we're all Mexican children being snuck across the border by two white adults. Now the problem with this story is for one thing me and my brother and my sister are not Mexican whatsoever we are all Native American and we all get that from our biological Father's Side. Apparently you didn't click in this guy's mind that a white mother and a white stepdad can I have 3 Native American children. Then it got really bad considering my brother and sister have my mom's last name and I have my biological dad's last name.
I think, based on your story it’s fine. It was subtle, not like some people making a scene and quickly assuming and calling the cops.
I have a biracial friend whose dad would be out with his nephew. And people would ask the nephew, "do you know this man?" 😆😆😆😆
The good thing is that women didn't make a big deal out of it she then left trusting you instead of calling the cops and making a scene
Lol was she black or white?
Imagine being fearful to be with your own children in public. That must be incredibly hurtful to hear from the dad's perspective in that a good chunk of society doesn't recognize his children to be legitimately his.
I've been asked a dozen times if I am my son's babysitter. He's 3 yrs old - I'm white and his father is black... Why are people so nosy?

Not all people are. Those that are nosy weren't raised to respect people. I had that happen too with me and my adoptive dad, who to me was my real dad. Some people noticed his age (he was in his fifties when he adopted me and married my mom. I was about 4 years old at the time) and would say that he wasn't my real father. That would irritate me because he was the dad my birth father refused to be. It didn't matter to me that he was older. He was the best dad ever. He's in Heaven now, having passed away in 2013, but I'll always love him as my dad.
They're beautiful children. I hope those security are ashamed. Trying to lie and cover up your mess by saying they looked 'suspicious' is sick.
ashamed? they were worried for the children so what if he was wrong it only caused a minor inconvenience for the possibility of saving kidnapped children

@@addy1294 I thought the same thing. He may have been naive and ignorant but if it was the security guard who actually prompted it, at least he was trying to look out for the kids well being. That’s far from being a racist.

I've met her mother, brothers and sisters when they came for a visit and they are lovely people.
I guess some people don’t understand that mixed babies don’t come out the same color as their parents..... they come out looking mixed like somewhere in between.
Edit:
Mixed babies come in different shades
Actually they can be black, brown white, light or dark skinned!!!
And they don't necessarily come out in the middle. They can look like ANYTHING. They can have their great great great great grandmother's rare gene
I’m a German, Jew, Latina and my BF is black and white and we both agree that as mixed individuals we have similar experiences where people try to tell us who we are or how our lives should be... in reality we all just trying to live our lives and be happy
Even if the kids were not mixed, he could have legally adopted them and still be their father...
When the mom said, “know what we went through to have our children” broke my heart. They probably struggled to have their babies and to have people question that they’re theirs or say, “they don’t fit” is probably pretty hard to hear when you had struggles conceiving.

Good lord, all they had to do was watch and based off how the kids interacted they would have known that everything was ok.
This reminds me of when a couple of women in a shopping mall parent's room made comments about my being a father to my toilet training daughter. My wife is disabled and so the task of weekly shopping is always my responsibility. To have comments made about how it's "inappropriate" for a father to be changing his daughter's diaper in public is very distressing. If not for the fact that one other woman in the room backed me up and told those nasty women to stfu and mind their own business, I would've lost my temper BIG time.

I come from a mixed race family and married someone from another race. God Is Good that’s was my thought as well. I don’t think it was done with malicious intent, but the person was concerned enough to talk to security. If indeed he had been a kidnapper, and no one said anything, then people would be complaining that no one did anything.
