An abxylutely fantastic review about what appears to be a fantastic product. I'll be honest; I thought we'd never hear from these guys again after their streaming handheld didn't exactly light the world on fire. The fact that they were able to successfully segue into controllers (isn't this their second or third model?) is pretty awesome.
Are you able to move the usbc port out of the way to have a phone/tablet in the slot without having to be plugged in? (I want to be able to use it vertically as well)
I worry about the buttons being almost above or too close to the right stick, which would interfere with my thumb...that's what bothers me about the G8 and G8+. I'm happy to see that a mod is possible for the Abxylute to fit larger tablets like an iPad Pro. Overall, it looks solid. I still think I prefer the Kishi Ultra; larger handle and grip, great d-pad and sticks. Unfortunately, it can't fit anything beyond an 8 inch tablet. Sigh, there's always something with these devices.
Yeah, there's always something missing but this is def the ctrl that is the closest to having it ALL imo. I love that you can change out the dpads, that is always ignored in most controllers. There's not a lot of argument against the Sega Saturn having the best dpad all-time so when one of these manufacturers implements that + what u see here, they can take my money 🤑 For now, Abyxylute can take my moniez 😁
Do you think it's worth getting this controller if you already have something like the GameSir G8 Galaleo? I mostly play Android games and some high-end emulation. I own the G8 but do not like the GameSir software. I know I don't have to use it but you can't use some features or update controller firmware without it.
I like feature set. Abxylute, from the mistakes made in the Abxylute One, learned that larger analog sticks is what gamers want. It's not going to replace my G8 but it's a nice controller that does appear to be unfinished with a great feature set. My personal preference is always going to be a device that's purpose built but in a pinch, this works. Thanks for the full disclosure on the deficiencies. BTW, I'm colourblind, so the colour indicators for mode status means nothing to me and others that are also colourblind.
You know, that last line is awesome feedback. Something I didn't even think about. I sent them a message to see about adding functionality for colorblind users.
It's called "Horizon Chase". The first twenty races are completely free to play with no ads or cool down timers. If you like it then you can pay a couple of dollars to unlock the rest of the World Tour mode. The World Tour Mode is the original complete game. In the past seven years or so since it debuted they've added a few bonus championships and cars you can buy. The Senna F1 expansion pack is definitely worth the money, in my opinion.
Retroid pocket 5 be lit if going be oled and snapdragon and also have an optional GameCube color way looks siiiick my Odin 2 mini purchase didn't work due to I don't know and now I'm glad 😂😂😂
So it fits Lenovo y700? It 8.22 inches.
It does, yep.

So with Call of Duty Mobile, no matter what controller you use, the main menu has to be navigated on the touch screen.
What case do you use for your phone? I'm looking for a controller that'll allow me to attach my s23 ultra without removing the case
another GameSir G8 Galileo clone
Yeah but w/ swappable dpads. Big bonus if you like retro games amigo 🎮
Nothing wrong with that
They said the packaging will be different.
Does it support display out from the usb c in on the controller?
Is this thing foldable to make the footprint smaller when not in use?

If dev consider easy fix - when switching modes it blinks certain amount times. Like X input - 2 slow blinks, PS - 3 slow, Nintendo - 4 fast.
They already replied that you'll be able to see the mode you're in within the software!
@@JoeysRetroHandhelds Perfect. Thanks Joey young lad.
Yes we know you're Joey 😂😂😂😂, the outrun clone at the start looks fun 😁

@@mattdavis9601 Thanks for letting me I know I plan to check it out sometime
Nice!
I can't seem to join the discord through the link in the description.

The only way to make it better is adding a cooler in the middle...otherwise it's just another G8 failed clone ....🥱
