Such a beautiful composition by Muzak. I get carefree vacation vibes from it. Maybe that's why I love it so much. I also love their version of Every Breath You Take, it's so beautiful. I believe they also played these songs in the underground wtc mall. They don't play music anymore at the plaza, instead being replaced by the sounds of the reflecting pools. But I bet it was truly magical hearing those songs in the background when walking around back then. I hope someday I can get to pay my respects at the reflecting pools.
Muzak corp did multiple renditions of every breath you take , this one was specifically for the environmental series, and the other was for stimulus progression
I’ve grown up listening to ABBA’s 20th Century album for years. Until this day I can reminisce listening it in the car as a kid, and the recent Mamma Mia! film. Just can’t forget those beautiful songs.
I don't think they should play the music. Although I love it, the water is perfect. It's like a forever "moment of silence" there, as it should be. Nearly three thousand lost their lives in that tragedy most in that spot that's now water. Forever known with their names one that water. The silence I feel is needed and shouldn't at all be taken away by a good time you go there to remember the victims nor chill out with friends. It symbolizes something more than that, I know. But at the same time, think about what happened that day.
Does anyone know who made this version of Dancing Queen? I was taking a look at the "What's Playing Now" list for the Environmental Muzak stream, and it mentioned a version of Dancing Queen by "Harley Brothers".
They don't play any muzak at the WTC plaza anymore because it'd be considered inappropriate for the memorial. That's also part of why the reflecting pools are as loud as they are, the white noise is meant to block out the sounds of traffic and whatnot.
@@thunderlina3237I was about to say that. It's supposed to be silent besides the water. It's the last resting place of more than 2 thousand people upwards of 3 thousand. I love the Muzak but yes it shouldn't be there.
According to the replies, they don't have any background music playing out of reverence to the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11. If they did, it would have to be a radio permanently tuned to an over-the-air frequency without a station broadcasting on it, such as 87.7 or 87.9 FM, the white noise of which is intended to be supplied by the rushing of the water in the fountains.
This reminds of the rainbow sun train theme from Thomas and the magic railroad! EDIT: hate this comment, I wanna see how many dislikes this comment gets…
my dad used to work at WTC 6/ U.S costums house and he said he did hear this playing a couple times at the plaza, you can put confirmed now :)

im not, my dad had lupus@@qwerp3
Crazy to think this song played. AT THE TWIN TOWERS
It’s such a beautiful piece, yet so heartbreaking. I was born in 2001 but I still think the 90s is truly a period in time that remains unmatched.
Eh, depends on were you lived. For the average Bosnian, Croat and Serb it probably was hell, same for the average Russian.
@@madridista6862 yeah not all change's depends on one country but nevertheless it's their opinion
wow its amazing having dancing queen instrumental in the plaza
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, diggin' the dancing queen
Friday night and the lights are low
Looking out for the place to go
Where they play the right music, getting in the swing
You come in to look for a king
Anybody could be that guy
Night is young and the music's high
With a bit of rock music, everything is fine
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, diggin' the dancing queen
You're a teaser, you turn 'em on
Leave them burning and then you're gone
Looking out for another, anyone will do
You're in the mood for a dance
And when you get the chance
You are the dancing queen, young and sweet, only seventeen
Dancing queen, feel the beat from the tambourine
You can dance, you can jive, having the time of your life
See that girl, watch that scene, diggin' the dancing queen

Mentally I’m here
@Player i agree. I think the music playing next to the memorial would remind us of a bygone era of peace.
Kinda wish they could of atleast played some of the old songs

Wow, I don't know there's a muzak version of Dancing Queen

I wish the new WTC had better muzak
Do they play any muzak? I've been to the memorial a couple of times and walked near the new building, but I don't remember any music?
@@Texaslawhornthey don’t. If they would have then it has to be very loud, because the memorial pools are so loud.

I heard this playing in Burger King recently.
