  • Tine weeders are light tillage tools used for blind cultivation and after crop emergence. While they're more expensive than rotary hoes or harrows, some farmers prefer them for early season weed control because they can take out weeds in more of the field due to their close tine spine spacing.
In this video, PFI farmers share their experience with when and how they use tine weeders in organic corn and soybean production to control weeds; they discuss both Treffler and Einbock tine weeders; the adjustments possible; and the settings they use.
