Deaf Awareness Day - 8 May 2017

In the run up to Deaf Awareness Week 2017, join us to celebrate our first ever Deaf Awareness Day.
The theme for this years’ week (15 - 21 May 2017) is ‘Celebrations’ - and there’ll be plenty of that as we put on extra activities and entertainment to mark the occasion.
A range of talks, by John Hay, board member, British Deaf History Society, entertainment and workshops including lip reading taster sessions, tours across the site, ‘fingerspelling’ workshops in St James’ School, Ashwood school signing choir, dancing and drama.
