Great rod and reel combo from Lews for a budget price! I doubt it can be beat by any other rod and reel combo in the same price range. Paired with the braided line and flour leader, that makes it that much better!

I finally got my hands on one of these. For almost a year my Walmart never got one, went tonight and it was there and i grabbed one. I wanted the bait caster combo but they didn’t have any. I will say paired with 20lb braid the reel feels super smoother and has great retrieve rate. Very satisfied, was $42, reel alone there was $36.99
Jay, that’s a good deal brother, my local Walmart’s haven’t had anymore of these in for like the past year, I was looking to pick another one up but no luck yet. I actually switched over to 20 lb braid too and it is a lot smoother.

@@NuclearPlaysMCPE these are still the newest model out and currently they are on sale for I think around $54. Academy also sells a combo similar which is there Lews Academy version which may also be on sale I picked one up a lil while ago for the same price. I hope you get one and enjoy it man!

For some reason my Walmart doesn't carry the rod that goes with this reel. They sell the reel for 39.99 and you have to pair it up with some other rod in their selection.
Looked at Walmart for not there think out picked up another pole graphite had my line break caught 3 big blue gill one bigger than my hand

This one is only recommended for freshwater, but they do make this one and they sell it at at some of the Walmarts I have seen near the ocean. You still have this combo? I still have mine and the XJ and they both still work great. I though about selling them for cheap due me PCSing here within a year but I think I’ll just hold on to them for collecting purposes.
Yea I still have it but I haven’t used it in a while, I let family and friends use it when I take them out.
@@bluecollaroutdoors5556 that’s a good combo to do that with. It feels good for novice anglers but if its breaks it not a big deal.
How does this compare to the American Hero spinning combo at Dicks for $60?
I also own two of the Lews American hero combos and in my opinion the xfinity is three times as good as those combos. The American hero’s rods are ok but the reel isn’t that good. With the xfinity you get a IM7 rod blank vs. a IM 6 on the hero. And the xfinity reel is not even comparable. Xfinity all the way man!
Funny to see someone bring up Dick's. The one where I live stopped carrying fishing products 3 years ago. Academy is crushing their sales anyway. I can't see them being in business much longer. No guns no fishing gear? It's called Dick's Sporting Goods for crying out loud!
Just went to 2 different Walmarts and found 2 of the reels only for $7 each, wait, the rotor on the ones I have are white…XS30A

I like the content, not the music. I have no idea why people think adding a soundtrack to an informative video where your audience is seeking knowledge will be improved by adding music; this isn't a marvel or "The notebook" type content. Just some friendly advice, couldn't even hear you at times but the music was a constant and frankly a distraction. Thank you by the way for the advice, I had bought the baitcasting version from Lews and was seeking info on the spinning equipment.
Thanks for the feedback, honestly these videos were some of my first and definitely were not fine tuned and I agree the music is horrible. I guess that is just the way it works when you first get into UA-cam. Please check out some of my newer videos on the channel, they don’t have the crazy music or any at all in most cases. Yea this spinning combo is great and I have been looking for the baitcaster version to do a review but they have been completely out of stock all summer around here. Thanks again for checking out the video!

Absolutely not, those two are in completely different categories when it comes to quality. The Mach 2 is just made with higher quality parts, but I have had great success with the xfinity nonetheless.
I got mine today for 49 bucks
Just got mine at my local Walmart for $42. I think it was marked wrong. The reel alone there was $36.99.
Got mine for 74$ and caught a 5 pounder on it

@@davidsalinas1669 in this video I have 40lb braid and a 17 pound fluorocarbon leader, and I was using it for fishing for largemouth bass around this cover. I have since started running 20lb braid and a 10 lb fluorocarbon leader for smallmouth Bass and it casts much further now and is smoother. I would that is the best combination or you could run 10 or 12 lb monofilament line and be just fine. Hope this helps.
