@@OptionsFinest It's a tofu60 with a dz60 pcb and oil kings, but I believe epomaker has made a budget 60 dollar board of the same form factor. ep..64? something like that.
Keychron k3 75% sweetspot . Not TKL , -> 75% ! Not having a numpad is fine but the F key row is a must mainly because the number key row will be also seperated . + you get all the function keys and arrows too .
I have 40 keys on my daily driver (I guess that makes it a 38%). Split in two halves I find it the most comfortable for writing code all day. Gaming I'll always opt for 80%+, maybe it's just the nostalgia factor like you said (my first mkb was the original g19 which I saved for as a broke student), but also a layered setup feels clunky to use when you're using the mouse a lot.
I personally don't need the numpad. I am currently using a tkl but I also like the 75% ones. I still use the F keys so anything smaller does not work for me
Yea the smaller one's limit usability so heavily it's uncomfortable. I could go without the num pad but overall would rather have it bc they're all clustered in one place instead of surfing the whole board ya know
Lmaoo, I've done that a few times. I've gotten used to the different layout from the 100% since I've had longer to get used to it. Glad to see another fellow K4 user coming alive in the comments! If you don't mind me asking, what'd you have before?
I can't lie. Smaller keyboards are just better. This is coming from the perspective of a hobby speed typist though. Lo-Pro and smaller boards are just easier on the hands
Yea, that makes sense. You need a no-nonsense board where everything is condensed and easily within reach. I respect that. Is that the only keyboard you have?
Ah, gotcha. I mean hey this board feels great. Idk what type of switches you have in yours but the browns feel great in this one. It feels very satisfying while you're typing. Plus this one's really great for versatility you don't need it plugged in all the time. I barely charge it
I love this keyboard man. (I got rid of my blackwidow last week)
I own a 60% with arrow keys and a shorter right shift. So much better than any other form factor I've used.
Ooh that actually sounds interesting.. What keyboard is it? I might have to check it out..

summarized video: because its cool
Haha 🥹
I have been using k4 for almost a year. It's great, but I still sometimes miss right or up arrow and press 1 on numpad instead.

tldr: bigger keyboard better because bigger
bigger better 🐒
Got a K6 Pro 65% is my sweetspot.
Edit: arrow keys are the goat
My man! Arrow keys are so good, anyone over the age of 18 knows the value of them. Or editors..
Are you gonna keep the 65%?
@@OptionsFinest sorry for late reply. Yes I'll definitely be keeping it 👍
at last someone said it, i have tried 60% many times and never liked it.
Yesss! Someone else agrees, thank you! It’s like this turned into an unpopular opinion 60s suck.
@@OptionsFinest so true !

@@OptionsFinest Yes unfortunately 😅. I wish I had more boards.
I would love to try more size layouts. Also, sometimes you just want a proper tenkey

@@OptionsFinest That's awesome. I use a Logitech MX Mechanical Mini so I am very familiar with brown switches! I personally love the tactile feel!
