It's funny watching Dave list the members from Duran Duran because there's an interview (the Big Ones) where he talks about Simon LeBon recognizing him but not knowing his name. Thanks sharing!
Well.... Simon Le Bon comment was what Dave found rude. Simon turned and looked at Dave and said "dont tell me don tell me! I know... you're from Depeche Mode, right? Keep it up" something along those lines. Dave didn't say a word back to him.
ua-cam.com/video/MaBPKOdza08/v-deo.html A Duran/Depeche collaboration perhaps in this above link. It's actually Dave Gahan doing vocals on a John Taylor produced track for a Roxy Music tribute album in 1995. John also of course plays bass on this track. Interestingly enough it was originally co-written by Andy MacKay who is on the same team as Dave in this episode of Pop Quiz.
ua-cam.com/video/8M6XHBk3hxQ/v-deo.html And here is what could be considered another Depeche/Duran collaboration with the M.A.N. remix of Personal Jesus from 2011. M.A.N. consist of Mark Ronson and Duran keyboard legend Nick Rhodes.
Robert Plant emerges victorious thanks to trusty Glenn Tillbrook and a flurry of questions about Love and Arthur Lee. Great fun was had by all, especially Bevan and Plant.
OK I'm looking at this episode here and I'm [wow]!good for either 1 team, also I think 🤔 I've heard either 1 of these acts (except for Roxy Music 🎶 🎵), I not only I can tell how young Dave Gahan looked but he also looked pretty smart back then too ❤... thank you 😀 👍.
there is some MAJOR talent right here (maybe not the girl but...) I mean Roxy Music, Squeeze, Depeche, AND Zepplin! but don't they all seem a bit bored? except Plant he is cool and interested in this. He seems almost out of place?
+uneedtherapy42 Yup, members from Roxy Music, Squeeze, Depeche Mode, Led Zeppelin and ELO (Bananarama definitely is like the odd man out) that's awesome. I wouldn't say that they seemed bored, though you're right, Plant seems the most excited, followed by Bevan; McKay, Tilbrook and Gahan were rather quiet and shy - at least back then -, so it might come across as being bored (plus there wasn't much chatting going on with the guests, unlike in shows like Never Mind the Buzzcocks where it was becoming way too much, especially Noel Fielding talking about his clothes and stuff like that, in Pop Quiz some of them only got to talk when they were answering questions and got no attention apart from that) and Sara Dallin is just an airhead.
The questions were much too difficult. Which means I'm younger than I thought I was! A great show however. Poor Sarah must have been too young to know the answers also. Old farts, old show lol
I find the dissonance between his speaking and singing voice in his younger years to be rather jarring at times…he has a relatively high pitched youthful sounding speaking voice but a rather mature deep singing voice (though now it is more matching to his speaking voice than before).
6:12 what's with the editing??? Kinda the whole point of watching this is to play along... not to skip forward to the answers. (don't give me copyright bullshit. If they're pulling vids down for a low-fi 3 second clip of neil diamond song sung blue, then something's really wrong)
Lovely to see the young Dave Gahan, he looks like a school boy and he's sweet. Nice quiz!
Yeah, he looks cute here, and very humble.
Dave Gahan killed it!!!
0:38 Dave: what the fuck am I doing here?...
maaan they threw him a soft ball. Gahan is probably still a huge Bowie fan to this day.
To the point that they're playing "Heroes" on the current tour...
Dave Gahan looked so sweet and turned out very handsome 🙂
Dave is such a doll😍
Well done Dave, you musical encyclopedia.

Martin couldn't stand Duran Duran. I guess Dave was more of a fan.
Well.... Simon Le Bon comment was what Dave found rude. Simon turned and looked at Dave and said "dont tell me don tell me! I know... you're from Depeche Mode, right? Keep it up" something along those lines. Dave didn't say a word back to him.
Le Bon was pulling Dave’s leg. He is in fact quite a Depeche Mode fan.

dave look shy with his little voice xd
awww he's so cute
Amazingly well behaved compared to today's 'stars'. They even look somewhat shy.
Just…WOW-Members of Bananarama, Depeche Mode, ELO, Led Zeppelin, Roxy Music & Squeeze…all on the same night.
ELO & The Move.
You might have won, but Dave will always be more beautiful than all of you!
LadyDominion more beautiful then robert????
There is a Lady there. So Dave has absolutely no Chance whatsoever.
Lofote dave gahan deffo beets her, but i am female and dont think she's pretty at all
ELO sitting next to Depeche Mode...who could've imagined that? Two of my most favo bands ever.
British Invasion! Thanks for the great bands and the music.
Dave so adorable cute 🥰
Love this! Dave and Robert in one room, plus Martin laughing! Lol
Nice real estate jacket Dave
You can hear Martin laughing aw
Omg. Dave on quiz show. 😃
For the Elton John question I answered 'Nikita', and then realised he hasn't written it yet..
lol
Same here
The youthful Dave's 50. Met him at 13. Good going David.
Robert Plant emerges victorious thanks to trusty Glenn Tillbrook and a flurry of questions about Love and Arthur Lee. Great fun was had by all, especially Bevan and Plant.
I LOVE YOU SARA DALLIN! BANANARAMA FOREVER!
Robert and his smile❤

STRANGE HAIRS OF 80´S ..................
Even stranger hair Now and 7 Year's ago. The 80's Hair was normal in compare
Dave is the best Frontman from the best Band of the World.😍😍👍👍
This panel is unreal!!
Is Martin laughing at 9:54 ?
yeah!
That's definitely him lol
He must have had a drink or two BTW
It DEFINITELY is.
It was probably him laughing all the way from the green room downstairs in the basement where he was watching on a tv.
Ooooo.....I love the Big Ones interview, it's very funny too :))))
I was in the audience for this.
Tell about it!
Crazy, I was 3 years old at that time 😄
!
So, was Martin Gore really in the audience?
How sweet!!!!!!!!
I had her hair in high school
He is so young here a young happy face looks like a very nice boy xxxx
Simon Le Bon did know who he was, he was being sarcastic, pretty much mocking Depeche Mode
Lol all these shows are unique
"Next week the outrageous Gary Glitter" I bet he couldn't wait to get on a kids show.
robert plant and dave gahan!!!!!😍😍😍😍🤗💋💋💋💋❤😚😚
DAVID 22👑👑👑👑👑👑👑
Brings back some good memories.
2020.... Brazil!
he seams so stressed at the begining

Robert Plant is a music encyclopedia, his team must have won.
He is very handsome
Just watching this Gahan poked me in the eye with his nose.

Maybe not the girl sheesh 🙄
Would be interesting to hear Robert covering DM and other way around
el se ve tan dulce!!!
Robert Plant facing off with Dave Gahan. Surreal.
Pencils 😂 didn't even give them pens...gosh shows how most folk improve with age...looks like a lifetime ago, use to absolutely love this show😊
Regarding Bob Dylan, they were thinking of Scarlet Rivera, the violinist during the Rolling Thunder shows.
How cute ^^
Hahaha.... Very very interesting!
*w* que hermoso se veía Dave!! :3
The questions were much too difficult. Which means I'm younger than I thought I was! A great show however. Poor Sarah must have been too young to know the answers also. Old farts, old show lol
The Host tho ! 😆
This is pretty cool!
Sara i love
Dave and Sarah look young 😊
Just Enjoying This. Presenter Said 4 Elton's with Names? so 2 others might be: Benny & The Jets & Little Jeannie i guess...
That bananarama woman brought nothing to her team. She got pity points.L.o.l.
amers83 hehehe
she was so useless she couldn't even remember her own surname
@@jackalexander102 she knew her name but she went by Sara not Sara Dallin from Bananarama just Sara from Bananarama
lol
13:50: Human League shortly to have another Number 1 with Fascination.
That middle guy had a lot of energy.
When a was a child.....
Felt sorry for Sarah
Sounds like the audience is preteens only.
probably mostly fan club members who find out what shows their idols will be appearing on.
Sara Dallin looks like a David Sylvian clone in this clip
Depeche Mode -'Music for computers'
At around 7 minute mark I thought Robert was jsut copying Bev's answers and then threw in a couple of his own XD
i only know dave on dave's team.
What happened to the "ten blue songs" section?
Dave looks like he’s going to Rick Roll us
It seems The Move guys didnt listen Animals, LZ members Genesis and DM ones Echo and The Bunnymen.
Unbelievable to have Robert Plant on a quiz show, you would need a Beatle to top that.
For a second I thought the host was Billie Jean King!
I feel silly as a “Layla” not knowing that was Gregg Allman
I find the dissonance between his speaking and singing voice in his younger years to be rather jarring at times…he has a relatively high pitched youthful sounding speaking voice but a rather mature deep singing voice (though now it is more matching to his speaking voice than before).
Dave looks like the Scottish actor from Gregory's Girl! 🤔😆
Nah Robert Plant outdoes all of them
Yeah, Plant is an actual Rock God.
easy ..david bowie?
DAVE SHOULDVE GUESSED THE CUTTER RIGHT RAAHHH
Before Gary Glitter was found out...
Didn't Jeff Beck also sessioned on many Donovan tracks ....
I thought more about Jimmy Page who played fkn everywhere in mid 60s.
"the outrageous Gary Glitter".......ha ha...yes quite fucking outrageous.
Surely this video should be titled Glen Tilbrook on Pop Quiz 1983?
Glen Tilbrook is amazing, yes, but Depeche Mode's current fanbase is much larger than Squeeze's.
what is the name of the song at 6:18 ????
+Sensoria1 Love is blue- Paul Mauriat
+Sensoria1 Love Is Blue - Jeff Beck
amers83 Thank you so much
U.N. Owen Thank you so much
Yup.There are quite a few versions.=)
14.00
British popstars don`t listen others lyrics...
only THREE years after led zeppelin broke up
aquí la estrella es robert plant no dave gohan. corrijan en título.

weird show
Dave has scottish accent???
margus kiis If you're talking about Dave Gahan, he's British.
He's got an Essex accent, but it's mixed with an American accent these days after spending so much time there :)
Corvid and living there

Fingers on buzzers, what C is commonly known as Columbian marching powder?
