Nice video but I didn't see/hear the 5 watercolor tricks unless I missed them.
Wow, you're so talented! I should dig out my watercolors and give it a whirl again.
Go for it!😀
Great Peggy,thank you. ❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You are so welcome!
Watching you trouble-shoot some aspects of the painting has been so helpful - thanks for such an authentic video, and to watch you perfect the clouds. Gorgeous.
I'm so glad! I think it's as important to show how to solve unexpected problems as show the happy path!
Thank you for this great video. I've learned a lot.
Glad it was helpful!😀
You have a really sweet voice. It's Mesmerizing to hear you speak
Hello :) I loved this picture and the clouds. I’m not really someone you’d call an artist but I love painting. I do my clouds by dropping colour on to a wet sky area and then I roll a piece of paper into a little Batton then I roll it once across the sky. It makes amazing skies. I love skies and love what you did in this painting. You’re my sort of technique artist so I look forward to following. Thank you :))) 🎨
Oh, thank you for the kind words! I love to hear other artists' tricks!
Those are the most amazing painted clouds I've ever seen! I have to watch the whole series ....
Glad you like them!
Exceptional demonstration! Appreciate your skill in painting and willingness to share. What a sky!
I'm so glad you like it!
I think you lifted it to a perfect color. Flows with the other part.
I'm glad you think so!
I just subscribed! Love the way you teach.......it's all about problem-solving and boy do I have problems. LOL! So happy to find your channel and can't wait to check out your other videos.
Thanks for subbing! 😀 I have more problems, err, watercolor paintings to share!
Actually I was searching for a video how to use my brand new needle-tip brushes and stumbled into this video .
I'm FLASHED about your style of painting, your clear voice, understandable voice-over (German here just love the video.
New subscriber 🥰
(and I found the video of the Florida painting and a needle-tip brush)
Thank you 🙏
You are so welcome! I have a new video that I'll publish in the next couple of weeks that use that "needle-tip" brush you are learning to use. Stay tuned!
@@PeggyBishopFineArt Sure, I will
The clouds are fantastic! A lovely moddy scene.
Thank you!
Fabulous Peggy! Thank you ❤
You’re most welcome!
Very nice study. Love the clouds!
Glad you like them!
Brilliant video. I feel that you simplified so that it was understandable to me. Thankyou
Great! That's what I was aiming for. I'm so happy you liked it!
Just found you on UA-cam. I really like your clouds, also they way you changed the house on the skyline. Looking forward to your other videos
Awesome, thank you!
This is the first time that I’m watching one of your videos. I am so glad that I found it. Very impressive!😊
I’m confused. When you added the blue sky after the first wash you were able to get hard edges. I assumed the paper had dried. Then, when you started adding the additional sky colors, you stopped & said the paper was starting to dry, so you had to spritz it. My question, was the paper wet when you painted the blue? If so, how did you get hard edges? Thank you! Great painting!
Great question! I often go through deliberate drying cycles. Then there are the times when the paper dries before I want it to! The paper in fact was dry when I started to paint the blue sky around the clouds. As I painted the blue wash, paper started to dry before I was able to finish the wash to the right side of the paper. I spritzed the wash with water to keep the paint workable. I hope this makes sense!
Excellent 👌..could you do a watercolour for a cityscape or cafeteria scene with people please
I will put those on the list. Thanks for asking!
I would strengthen the foreground. I enjoyed this video thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I used to live by the ocean an the sky is like that.
It's true! I'm obsessed with clouds! 😀
Hi I know you said the two brushes you were working with. The nic pro has different brushes can you tell us true beginners which brush and paint and paper in descriptions or show us in beginning? Thanks
Hi, good catch on the brushes not being in the description. I will add them asap! I do try to explain the materials in the video for those who watch on TV, but sometimes forget. I will do better! Thanks for watching!
I just can’t seem to get how to make those billowy clouds. Help!
Tell me a little more about which part stumps you
I never know what colours to choose, which primaries are cool and which ones are warm. I use Maimeri blu, so the colour names are different than Daniel Smith, A. Gallow, Winsor & Newton and others.
You bring up an important point. I will release a lesson on cool versus warm colors, and how to understand the pigments across manufacturers. Thank you for your comment!
Leave the house alone….its wonderful
😁
The clouds looked better with more light. You lost the light. Now it looks overworked.
