People should stop buying unnecessary flats - 2 flats, 3 flats, etc. etc. There should be extra tax for person purchaing 2nd property, even higher for 3rd property and so on. Make one purchase per family at minimal tax.

Developer should not buy extra FSI to avoid taxes. But they will do for their own profit, extra gst will be 10k per flat but builders will increase flat price by 10 lakhs. The government has taken a calculated risk. Even if they impose retrospective GST on FSI, it will primarily impact the higher middle class-a small segment of the population that seldom votes. I am fully confident there will be no protests, even if the GST is applied retrospectively.

It is good to levy GST on FSI. This will improve transparency in the system. Now Govt should increase the circle rate to curb black money. Also Govt should give home loan only to actual buyer / user. Home loan should be given to only those who will not be allowed to sell the property for 20 years. All these steps will reduce the price in long run. Higher prices of property or home is due to speculation and not because of Govt taxes. Earlier the common man understood this fact, better for them

People have started the Congress BJP debate without understanding full facts. The 55th council meeting has deferred the decision. Not implemented yet. About politics, the simple fact is any government would appease voters. The middle class wants a holiday on voting day, so cannot blame any Government. I regret my decision of voting in favor of current Government. Instead could have experienced something good by voting to other parties. We know that all parties are corrupt but at least the new Government could have done some betterment for middle class. I recall the same situation Congress did to public and finally people voted against a long ruled party and were doing all for their own good. Similar stand need to be taken now.

For a common man in India when ever faced with a situation when he gets fleeced by extracting illegally more than what is due he has 2 choices (1) Pay up by trying to negotiate as much as possible and focus on earning back that undue amount paid in 2-3 years. (2) Fight as a common man for justice against the power full syndicate of govt departments and the builders etc through the judicial system,if you are lucky you will surely get justice after fighting for nearly 5-20 years and you can pat yourself but if you calculate the cost of justice counting not just the amount spent on lawyer fees but the time taken in which you not just lost your prime working age but also the mental cost you will kick yourself for being a fool for choosing this instead of option 1. Developer should not buy extra FSI to avoid taxes. But they will do for their own profit, extra gst will be 10k per flat but builders will increase flat price by 10 lakhs. And fo0ls will till buy flats. Flats prices are inflated and videos like these helping builder inflate price. They will create fear in your mind
The government has taken a calculated risk. Even if they impose retrospective GST on FSI, it will primarily impact the higher middle class-a small segment of the population that seldom votes. I am fully confident there will be no protests, even if the GST is applied retrospectively.

It is good to levy GST on FSI. This will improve transparency in the system.
Now Govt should increase the circle rate to curb black money.
Also Govt should give home loan only to actual buyer / user.
Home loan should be given to only those who will not be allowed to sell the property for 20 years.
All these steps will reduce the price in long run.
Higher prices of property or home is due to speculation and not because of Govt taxes.

I regret my decision of voting in favor of current Government. Instead could have experienced something good by voting to other parties. We know that all parties are corrupt but at least the new Government could have done some betterment for middle class. I recall the same situation Congress did to public and finally people voted against a long ruled party and were doing all for their own good. Similar stand need to be taken now.

@@sankalp05021992 Investors never register or do stamp duty...They have a Mou with the builders, so they give lump some and block the flat. So GST wouldnt qualify while investors are pumping dumping.

For a common man in India when ever faced with a situation when he gets fleeced by extracting illegally more than what is due he has 2 choices
(1) Pay up by trying to negotiate as much as possible and focus on earning back that undue amount paid in 2-3 years.
(2) Fight as a common man for justice against the power full syndicate of govt departments and the builders etc through the judicial system,if you are lucky you will surely get justice after fighting for nearly 5-20 years and you can pat yourself but if you calculate the cost of justice counting not just the amount spent on lawyer fees but the time taken in which you not just lost your prime working age but also the mental cost you will kick yourself for being a fool for choosing this instead of option 1.
