Sometimes, the gestapo style is needed because the courts in Nigeria have shown a strong reputation for giving conflicting judgments depending on how the sitting judge is feeling. Indeed, it would do us well to adopt the Chinese or Vietnamese style of zero-tolerance in fighting corruption among government officials with sticky fingers.
