  • I recently returned the Garmin Instinct 2X, finding it to be a big disappointment despite its premium price. The battery life fell significantly short of the advertised claims, and the vibration motor's performance was subpar. While the watch boasts rugged durability and extensive features, these critical shortcomings overshadowed the positives and left me unsatisfied with the overall experience.

I bought this watch, enjoyed it for about 10 hours. Got an update notification and installed it. Garmin lowered the voltage to the buzzer so low that I couldnt hear when I got notifications. Same with the vibration motor. Had the watch for a total of 12 hours before I returned it. Also have the 6X and they did the same to it with an update. Sits on the shelf collecting dust. Sounds like the update did the same to yours...

I found that my watch does last as long as advertised, but only if text and email notifications are off.
And if I’m doing an activity every day, it’ll also give you less life.
The solar element seems to work for me, but not as a recharger exactly, but more of a “battery hold” mode. If I get enough Sun during an activity, then I won’t LOSE Battery life.

I did some activities every day. I also saw an increase in the battery with solar while in the car. But for me, after 50% it went to 0% in a few days, with or without all the tracking enabled. How is the vibration on yours?

@@j2f-tech It’s enough for me I definitely always feel it. Even while running etc and it’s telling me my distance checkpoint.
Sadly, maybe you got a lemon?

@@ZZFilm It might be that I got a bad unit. The battery and vibration were really bad for me. However, I searched online about the vibration and found that many people had this issue. I really liked the app and the watch. I will definitely try Garmin in the future.

If you tell me that I'll take a break from the charger for a week that's fine with me, I hate that my watch battery doesn't last a day, and I hate even more that I have to buy a new one every time I change phones.

I am now testing the Huawei Watch GT4, which costs way less than Apple and Garmin watches. It's been a week and the battery is 49%, which is so cool because the display is excellent and has many functionalities. I will do a review of it soon. The Garmin Instinct 2x is a very nice watch but for me, it is not worth the price, I would keep it for half the price.
