It's hard to put my finger on why, but your teaching technique was extremely effective. I learned new stuff today after struggling to understand other videos. Thanks for the help, and keep up the good work!
Nice work. I'm curious as to why you calculated the distance in two places on the base because it seems to me that you could have applied a horizontal constraint on the bottom of the base to full constrain the sketch. The first place was when you calculated the vertical line to be 41mm and the second was when you we placing the arc. Perhaps I'm missing something but it seems that you did more work than necessary.
Good point! . Calculating the 41mm is not necessary since creating the arc will trim the line and remove the constraint. The second calculation (5+9=14) is required to avoid an error since the arc still had an up-down movement which would affect the position accuracy of the 2 bottom horizontal lines. Constraining it to the the bottom left edge (which I did) will return the current vertical distance between the 2 points which may not necessarily be accurate .
This has to be the best tutorial for anything freecad related that I have come across. I am very impressed.

REALLY good tutorial. I considered myself fairly knowledgable with FreeCad, but I've learnt about 5 new techniques from your video. 🙂
Nice and clear explanation, thanks!
This tutorial was really easy to follow great job :D
Great video, extremely helpful!
Brilliant!! THank you!
Superb.. very clear explanation :)
Super bien expliqué. Merci

@@techwithjulius couldn't you just make the angle between the two bottom left lines there 90°?
Thanks
Useful video but. we couldn't see your mouse. the following is so hard sir.. thanks
you should not ever use 0 value dimensional constraints. Use point on edge geometric constraint.
Is it possible to create a cnc program for machining this lart in freecad?
I don't think it would be suitable to make it on 3 axis CNC
