I have said a fair few times how I think Maunsell locomotives that don’t have the regular smoke deflectors look a little bit odd to me but I do have to say that Sir Francis Drake does look quite good without them, great addition here peter, wouldn’t mine one of these Lord Nelson’s myself at some point, will have to see if I can get up to that A Oakes shop one day and take a look at what they have but I don’t live very close to the West Midlands so not sure if or when that could happen, it’s a shame they don’t have an online shop, I have heard they don’t do online for their model railway stuff, great review here Peter.

Cheers David, yes, a pity they don't sell online, but if you could ever get up to the shop it's definitely worth going to
I used to think Maunsell locos without the deflectors looked odd, but thats since changed and it has grown on me

I dislike sprung buffers because you'll only be messingbwith them when handling the model, nitbwhen the model is running.
