I just wanted to say I love your music choice in each of your videos. I'm an amateur musician and love learning new songs and music. I also love the cafe hopping because it's just so beautiful to watch. Thank you for sharing part of your life with us.
Same for me! I just LOVE Cari's music choice and it goes so well with the content of her videos. Please keep it up, dear Cari! Greetings from Germany! 🤗
hi cari! Three years ago, I found your videos, and I thought.. wow Korea seems like a nice place! Last year I got the chance to go and study in Seoul for a year, and it was the greatest year in my life so far. I came back as a full on grown up, independent and adventurous girl, I never thouht I could travel by myself! You inspired me to just go and try it! Now I'm back in Europe, spending most of my time talking to my friends about Korea, and even though I was very tired because od Uni in Seoul, I do miss it a LOT. I will definitely be coming back and visiting all my friends. Now, watching you walk to the bus at the Busterminal is so nostalgic to me, I remember my own little trips, thank you for sharing your moments and inspiring me to go out and experience my own! Lots of hugs from Switzerland Juula
Your videos are such a source of happiness for me. I've been watching your videos for two years- they honestly got me through the misery of Uni- and now my dream finally came true and I moved to Seoul. I remember depressed me, sitting on my bed feeling trapped and miserable, knowing that when I watch your videos I get to escape. Now, I am typing this message while sitting at my desk in my little room in Seoul, staring at all the lit up building and cars zooming past. Life is crazy. Thank you. You are amazing.
Café hopping seems interesting. South Korea has a ton of cafés to choose from, and it's quite insane to think about, really. We all hope to see you succeed, Cari. We all have faith in you.
I think one of the reasons I love South Korea as much as I do is because they do so well at blending traditional, modern and future. It's also one of the reasons why I love Japan and really any place that has mastered being able to appreciate and hold on to the past while also looking and working towards the future. As always, what a delightful video!
I don't comment often, but I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your videos, they are part of my Sunday routine by now. I don't know what I would do without your videos of drinking coffee or tea & exploring Korea. Have a wonderful week! (also very much here for your music choices) x
I envy Korea's cafe culture so much it looks like such a blast! thank you for sharing this with us. I was also wondering if you could ever take us to a flea market, I don't know if you've done it on this channel before but just a thought I had in mind :]
really admire how masking still goes on in mutual places. love this respect for each other. also, Korean cafes are unique and different in the aspect of aesthetics. in Europe, all cafes seem to look like each other now.
I just love the aesthetics of these cafes! love the wood, plants, bamboo, and clocks. It makes me want to open a cafe so I can curate an aesthetic place for people to chill. 🥰
ah i lived in daejeon all of last year, i miss it sooooo much! i've never seen sleepy town so empty! cafe sasohan was close to my apartment, the owner is so lovely! thanks for letting me relive some memories!!!
oh my god i hope you're doing okay and giving yourself a lot of time to relax! glad everyone is unharmed but take care of yourself a lot for the next few weeks :'(
There are some surprisingly untouched neighborhoods in Daejeon. I visited our old family house this past summer and it was still there. This is amazing because I moved to the states in the mid-80's and there has been so much development since then. Anyway, thanks for this lovely jaunt around the city. It made me want to go back and explore more of it someday!
If you're ever in Gwangju (Jeollanam-do) the cafe scene is so good here! My favorites are: *Cotton Story with Coffee *Sketch *Sontag & Eicher *Muan Yo Gallery Cafe
Your vlogs give me serotonin boosts I swear ♥ I just love seeing all the news places you discover by yourself especially the cafes. .happy introvert noises. 🥰
Omg! If you have not read belladonna yet please do yourself a favor and check it out!! This week has been challenging(to say the least). Husband got in an ATV accident, it was really bad, he broke two vertebrae, his wrist/hand/fingers, and his knee. He had to have emergency back surgery, he has to have hand surgery. Reading has saved me this week. I finished Belladonna during his back surgery. I also read the sequel to six crimson cranes which was good as well but Belladonna really was epic!
Wow! What a cool day trip! I felt like you were in a western neighbourhood several times. I was amazed to see how Americanized some shops and homes are. I would definitely enjoy that trip. Thanks for taking us along 💜
Your vlogs are so calming. The music, your voice, the stuff you do. I live vicariously through your vlogs. Always wanted to live in Korea but it'll be hard for my daughter to adjust. So we'll just visit. God bless you and more successful vlogs in the future!
Cafes seem to be your niche in your channel. Love the showcase of cafe concepts in Seoul and other places in Korea. Seems like cafe culture makes it conducive to meeting people in relaxing environments.
I really like the coffee shops that you discover. They are so aesthetic pleasant. Are you a fairy of the cafes? 🤭😂 jokes aside, your videos are always incredible!
Hi! nicemeet you ! I was borned In Daejeon, since I lived in Daejeon for decades-long. but now l lived in USA ! sometimes, i miss my coutry. When i watched your vlog , my nostalgia was cured by your video. Thank you for beautifully capturing Daejeon in video.🧡
@@caricakes yes! Cafes with tea menu on it and more of tea workshop ((only if you want to)). I'm Inez from Indonesia👋 and now I'm learning about tea alsooo tea mocktail🍹 So I would be gratefull if you could show us around about tea mocktails trends in there☺️
I enjoyed your day trip....thanks for taking us along. I was surprised by the 'western' looking homes....any one of them could be right down the street from me, but seem so out of place over there. I am always fascinated by the cafes and what they serve. I'm disabled so I rarely leave my home and I am not particularly aware of what cafes here are like, but those in Korea have amazing desserts I've never seen before. I was also taken aback by the bus you rode! All of the transport systems I've seen in videos there are so nice and clean....nothing like you'd ever see here, where people have no respect and seem to trash everything...in some big cities people will actually defecate right in the subway cars and on the streets in front of shops! One thing that does bother me in Korea are all of the electric/telephone wires hanging EVERYWHERE! To me, they are van eyesore and they look so hazardous, but I guess you get used to them. Love your videos as always...wonder if you've ever given any thought to cinematography.....you do such beautiful work! Thank you again, ARMY grandma
OK, I have just stoped the video at 10:07 to write this comment. I simply adore how South Korea takes cafe business seriously..I mean they are so good and obsessed with aesthetic and I believe it also makes vloggers life much more easier for a good shot! Or should we give the credits to good youtubers ;) I have been there (Seoul only) in 2019 and stayed like one week. I wish I had known your channel since then because I was craving for some bakery :) P.S Bamboo cafe! It is just Namjoon style..I can imagine him there with his Murakami book👌
Wow Cari thanks for sharing with us. This coffee hopping vlog was amazing with all the delicious treats you had. That first place looked trapped in time ( in a good way). Music 🎼❤️. Second place I mean, wow , looked super peaceful. Obsessed with that peanut latte you enjoyed the green tea latte, that ice cream persimmon yes 😋. Love your content. Have a wonderful week .

my forever mood hahhah
The first cafe looks exactly how I imagine the cafe in 'Before the coffee gets cold' looks!!
Something i appreciate a lot of cari, is that she's always going to new places in Korea, for us to discover. Thank you
I always think of the book “Before the Coffee Gets Cold” when I watch your vlogs- I know it’s a different country, but it’s the same vibe.
ah i lived in daejeon all of last year, i miss it sooooo much! i've never seen sleepy town so empty! cafe sasohan was close to my apartment, the owner is so lovely! thanks for letting me relive some memories!!!
The energy and vibes your blogs radiate Cari is stunning... The music, the scenes you choose to film, this made me feel so happy inside! 🤍✨
Daejeon looks like such a cute city. The bamboo cafe looks very pretty.
Yes, that looked like a peaceful one
korea is such a beautiful country. i want to visit sometime in the future, it’s one of my dream destinations
Oh Cari, how much I needed this tonight. I had a car crash today (everyone is fine), but I can‘t find any rest sincen then. Hope this will help 🤍
oh my god i hope you're doing okay and giving yourself a lot of time to relax! glad everyone is unharmed but take care of yourself a lot for the next few weeks :'(
those bamboo shots were so beautiful i could cry. I don't know why those in particular just made me feel like everything is okay
Thank you Cari for the inspiration - perfect timing as I’m coming back to Seoul next week and most of my old faves has apparently shut down 🙈
