HUGE THANK YOU! Both my back doors failed within weeks of each other and Ford wanted hundreds of dollars to fix them and after looking at a bunch of videos found yours. Most other videos are telling you how to build a clock, when you ask what time it is. You are focused on the exact problem and how to fix it the quickest (and cheapest). You did a great job in explaining each step and I was able to fix both doors. The first one took a bit of trial and error, over an hour, the second one about 20 minutes. Thanks again. Fran
@Frances G - thank you so much for stopping by, and especially for taking the time to leave a comment! So very glad to hear that this helped you! That's exactly what we were hoping to do, and by using something you likely had on hand (and is very inexpensive). I know you're happy to have functioning rear doors again, and if the cable gets brittle or snaps, it's easy to just replace it again. Thanks again, and have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
OMG...LOL I bout passed out laughing... "How to build a clock, when you ask what time it is!!!!" I'll be using that one A LOT, So F'n funny, thank you.
Haven't opened my driver rear door for 2 years and just found your video tonight and the door opened with your magic! Thank you so so much for making this video!
@danny essary - Hey Danny! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to let us know, that's great news! So glad it helped :) Have a blessed day ----Tim and Stacy
I had a 2003 Ford F-150 Super Cab with only 77000 miles on it! It has been care free until I couldn't open the left rear door! This UA-cam Video is a money life saver! I followed & did what was shown in the video, and have had great results, for penneys! Thanks very much!
I just installed one of the dorman repair kits on a door and it still did not work. I then added a zip tie and although it appeared to work, I realized that the zip tie held the cable too tight and the top latch was not locking. I had to cu the zip tie and add another one much looser than the one that was in this video had to tighten one click at a time to find the sweet spot. Watching your video, it appears to me that the top of the door was not latched when you put the panels back on and when you closed the door. You may want to grip the top of the door and yank on it to make sure the door is latching then recheck to see if the handle opens the door before final reassembly.
I have had a 2002 F-150 Super Cab for 17 years. 2 years ago the rear door on the passenger side quit working. After consulting my local F-150 expert on the problem,I was lead to believe that this repair might be costly. I thought ,oh well, the driver's side still works. Then about two weeks ago the driver's side went out too. Today I searched You-Tube for a solution and found your amazing video. Thanks so much for posting this info as now I have my trusty four door truck again. I had all necessary tools and materials here and didn't have to leave my driveway.
@Michael Smith Smith - Hi Michael! Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know! We are so glad that this worked for you. We know there are more involved, and more expensive, solutions to this rear door issue, but with the age of our truck, we feel like our money is better spent on other problems and issues. We've had a cable tie on this rear door for nearly 1.5 years and it is still going strong. The passenger door had to have the same quick fix, but as you said, it is quick and easy and uses things we have here at the house. So glad it helped :) Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
The rear passenger door on my 2000 F150 suddenly failed today. I realized the top latch was stuck. I came across your video a short time later and in about 20 minutes, I had it fixed and ready for reassembly. The top cable plastic end piece failed exactly as the one in the video. Very easy and inexpensive fix. Thank you for taking the time to share your video!!
@Kevin Smith - Hi Kevin! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a comment. We are so glad to hear that the video helped you fix the cable issue with your rear door. It's a quick and easy fix, and we are happy it fixed your issue as well. Take care and have a truly blessed day ---Tim and Stacy 😍💚
@Joseph Woloszyk - Hi Joseph! Virtual fist bump back at ya :) Yes, this is a cheap, easy, quick fix, not the most expensive or long lasting route you can take, but for us, it works great. With the age of this truck, we feel our money is better spent on other areas, when a quick cable tie does the trick :) Glad it worked for you, thank you for taking the time to let us know! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Great job. This helped me fix me 2003 F150 yesterday. The only difference was my issues was with the top cable that runs behind the ones you show. I was about to give up when my hand pulled on it be accident and it opened the door. I used three zips to secure. Easy fix if it goes out again. Nice job on the video and you helped save me some serious money. thanks
Marty Maroney - Hi Marty! Thank you for stopping by, and for taking the time to watch and comment! We are so glad to hear that this helped you fix your problem. Thanks for the great feedback, and for the input on one of our other viewer's question and comment. Have a wonderful and blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Hell yeah it help out now my moms all happy , she was having trouble putting her groceries in the truck all the time and shes 67 and just had 2 major strokes so THANKS FOR THE VIDEO , THANK YOU SIR.
Frank Gonzales - so glad the video helped you fix the back door :) Hope your mom is doing better every day, and recovering from her strokes. Take care and have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Thank you so much!!! I have the same truck and had the same problem... and after watching this video, I was able to fix my back door. Thanks again for saving me some$$$
Be A Real Man - thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment to let us know! We are so glad this easy fix was able to help you with your problem. We have had to do it on both rear doors, and while we don't think it's a long term fix, it is a quick, easy and very cheap fix. Where we live it is very hot, so I imagine the cable tie will get brittle over time, in our heat, but it is very easy to do and can easily be done again. As you said, it saves a lot of money over a more expensive fix. Glad it helped! Have a wonderful and blessed day ---Tim and Stacy 😍❤
i replaced my silverado with this 2003 f150 the dealer said the back passenger door was bolted shut...........but i bought it anyway. i did the same thing you did with the zip ties and the door now works great ...thank you so much. ......... and tell the camera person she did a great job too
@Juz Chillin - Aww, thank you so much for stopping by and for taking the time to leave us a comment. We are so glad this worked for you, and congrats on the new-to-you truck :) It's an easy fix, and very inexpensive. You might need to do it again in the future, depending on your climate (we live in the Deep South with brutal summers and those cable ties get brittle after a while and have snapped once, but it was easy to just pop a new one in place). And the camera person thanks you for the very kind words!!! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Wow! I was about to spend several hundred dollars. One stopped working and then the other stopped a week later. I was pulling my hair out over this. Thanks Tim!!!
George Lowry - Hi George! Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! So glad to hear that this helped you :) It's a very inexpensive and easy fix, and we agree that the money on this older vehicle is better spent other places. Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Much respect to your husband for taking that door apart and fixing the latch. If I took my car door apart, you would call it 'broken'! LOL Nice work, Tim. TFS! (:
lemoncrinckles - thank you for stopping by Stef! My husband is like the Tim character on Home Improvement, he is truly "Tim Tool Time", as he can fix absolutely anything! At least you would try to take something apart, I would never even try, ha! TFW and have a blessed day ---Stacy 😍❤
I also ended up checking out the rest of your channel due to this video and subscribed. I recently retired from the Army after 22 years and feel like I am having to learn a lot of things all over again, such as cooking decent meals for myself.
Visioneer68 - thank you for stopping by and letting us know. This is a nice quick fix for the door issue, and saves a lot of money by using something as simple as the cable tie. It's not a "do it the best way" long term fix, but our truck is 15 years old and that money is better spent on other items for the vehicle. We were glad to find that this worked, easily and cheaply and can easily be done again if the cable tie doesn't last. We're so glad to hear it helped you :) Have a wonderful and blessed day --Tim and Stacy
Visioneer68 - thank you for your service! And thank you for checking out our channel and subscribing! We both try to help others, in our own way, Tim with all things guy (truck fixes, gun maintenance and cleaning, as he is also a veteran, projects around our house, etc). I love to cook and grocery shop and meal plan and have been amazed at how many people we know who work long hours, and pay for things like meal planning, home meal delivery kits, grocery shopping services, etc. I hope to be able to help in some way to be able to do that free, for yourself, and save a little money and hopefully some time. I cook for two, so things can easily be doubled and tripled for a larger family, but hopefully also can help others who are cooking for themselves or just two. We're glad you are here and hope that you do enjoy the content on our channel. Again, thank you for your service to our country, we are proud Americans, home to a proud veteran, and Christ followers who believe in faith, family and good food :) Have a wonderful and blessed day ----Stacy 😍💚
Just the video I’ve been needing. Been having no doors for the last 8 years 😅 which never use em anyways lol. But now to get up and actually fix em. Thank you for this
@Blake Williams - thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment, Blake. We hope this helps you fix those pesky rear doors - it has certainly worked for us! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Thank so much for sharing this, it was a huge help. We just got this same model truck (2003) We used 4 zip ties on our door. Two on top and two on bottom. Both cables were lose, plastic was broken. We also added a bit of grease on zip ties.
@Vela - Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and especially for taking the time to leave us a comment. We are really glad that this video helped you, and that's a great tip about the grease. Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Doors haven’t worked in 2 years and I guess will continue not to, this video was very very straight forward and got to the point. I went out and took the panels off and the top cable seemed to be a little loose so I put some tension on it with my finger and didn’t work then put the zip ties still didn’t work so I just put it back together. But great video, I’m sure it’s helped dozens
@TeeBeCrazy - thank you for stopping by and watching, and for taking the time to comment. We are sorry that this did not help fix your rear door. When we did our rear door, we were able to unlatch the door by pulling the cable. If this does not happen, then this fix will not work. You possibly could have a different issue, but this quick zip-tie trick has worked on both of our rear doors. Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Complete, Convenient, Concise, comprehensive, Thank You So Much, now i can paas it on as i will help to fix my friends truck and help him to keep his hard to come buy money for other necessities. The first video, last and best video instruction for this fix.
@Gregory Fortner - Hi Gregory! Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to leave us a comment. We hope you had a chance to do this today and it worked well for you and fixed your rear door. All for the cost of a cable tie and a few minutes :) Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
@DLMADWI - Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment. We are so glad it helped you with your back door, that's awesome! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
@AP _ - Hi there! Thank you for stopping by and watching, and for taking the time to leave a comment. We certainly hope this helps fix your rear door issue. Keep us updated! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Buzz Verneau - thank you for stopping by and commenting to let us know! We just did the cable tie trick last December, so it hasn't been long enough to gauge how long it lasts. I would think as long as it takes a cable tie to become brittle in the heat or from wear and tear? Since we filmed this video and shared it, the other door has had the same problem, so my husband has fixed both with this quick trick. Even if it does happen again, it's pretty easy to do (he said!) and very inexpensive. On a truck this old, it seemed like a good, quick, cheap fix :) Hope you have a great weekend and a truly blessed day ---Stacy and Tim
Had the same issue today and realized both doors had gone bad! Rarely used the passenger door in my 2002. Tried a few things with no luck. Watched the video and BAM! Done.
Scott Bachman - Hi Scott! Thank you so much for stopping and for taking the time to comment. We are so very happy to hear that this helped you fix your issue :) We've done this quick cable-tie fix on both rear doors of our 2003 model. There are more expensive fixes, but with a truck this age and other issues, we definitely feel our money is better spent on other problems :) Thanks again for letting us know, and have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
@Villex7 - thank you so much for taking the time to let us know! So glad it worked for you, it's a great little fix :) Have a blessed day --- Tim & Stacy
Was blessed to find this! Thank you so much! Door just stopped working and your video was spot on. Took me longer to find a zip tie then it it did to do the repair lol
@Lon Mac - Hi Lon! Thank you so much for stopping by and letting us know! We are so glad that it helped, that's exactly why we filmed and shared the video, in hopes of helping others with a very inexpensive fix. You're right - it often takes longer to find a cable tie than it does to get it fixed up, LOL! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
This works great it will save you about 250.00 . Includes labor for a new kit . However one thing i did not need to pull entire plastic off . Just enough to uncover square with hole to put ties in. . You will have to grap cable and pull just a bit to loosen . Also my top window latch is on the right not the left like shown in video . Very easy and simple to do . Took no longer than 15 minutes . A great video to save money thx
That's good really ,Good job ,I know some time the Diagnosis may be different situation but same , problem,Mind ended The same as this one, After watching 3 Videos ,I was sleepy and Tired.thank you Sir.
@Shaiy777 Jjckpw - thank you for stopping by and watching! We hope this little trick with the cable tie helps you fix your rear door issue. We've used it now on both of our rear (suicide) doors, and it works like a charm. Take care, and have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Tim repaired the broken back door on his truck before Christmas, and wanted to share in hopes that he could help someone else with an easy fix! The camera work is not great (my fault), but hopefully you get the idea!
My F150's rear doors have been stuck closed for years. After watching this video I immediately went out and did your cable tie method. --> Up and runnin'! Mahalo man!🤙🏾
@steve hairston - thank you for stopping by and taking the time to comment Steve! This was one of our earlier videos, and yes, we didn't really have the best lighting, the best camera and the camera person was still learning her job, LOL! I hope this worked for you! It's a quick and easy fix, and is still holding on our 2003 F-150. We know that eventually the cable tie will get brittle, but it's easy to pop off the cover and replace it, now that we know the process. Have a blessed day ---Stacy and Tim
LIL RUKA BANKKA - thank you so much for stopping by, and for taking the time to watch and comment. We appreciate it! Hooray, so glad to hear that this worked for your door. We've done this on both rear doors on our 2003 Ford F150. Granted, there are better (and more expensive) ways to fix this, but we were looking for a quick and cheap fix. We have other issues that we'd rather put money into on an older vehicle, so this is just the ticket for us. Quick and easy :) Glad it worked, and have a very blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
stratplayer53 - thank you so much for stopping by, and for taking the time to watch and comment! This is a very quick and inexpensive fix. You could buy the parts and do it "the right way", but that was more money than we wanted to spend on this older truck. Our money is better spent on other areas of upkeep and maintenance on our truck. We've done this on both rear doors and it is a quick fix, hope it works well for you too :) Have a blessed day ----Tim and Stacy 😀
@@LetsCookYall I hear what your saying my truck is a F250 same year.I use for two things Putting my boat in the water in the spring and pulling it out in the fall. Ialso use it for plowing in the winter which might be coming tonight ,earlier than I like.I hear what your saying on prioritizing where to spend the money.Again thanks for the vid.
@@stratplayer53 Yep, they are great vehicles, and hold up for the most part, but for us, the money is definitely better spent on more "important" items to keep the vehicle running smoothly. Rear doors are important, but the cost of a cable tie and a little time is totally negligible and easy to do :) Yikes, plowing early, looks like winter is going to be a lot earlier this year, maybe it will even out and not be so bad. Hope it works great for you, thanks again for the feedback :) Have a blessed day ----Tim and Stacy
Tim, that is awesome! We have a 2000 Dodge Ram with the same problem, so I am going to try this. Thank you so much for sharing!! Now I need to look on youtube for a video on how to fix the drivers seat it won't go back and forth anymore. Its electric too...UGH Thanks again and have a blessed day!
Mary Raybon - thank you for stopping by Mary! I hope this helps you or someone else. I have absolutely zero idea on how to fix anything, but Tim is a fabulous handyman! I'm so very blessed to have him around :) TFW and have a blessed day ---Stacy 😍❤
@Jennifer Doyle - Hi Jennifer! Thank you for stopping by our channel, and especially for taking the time to watch and to leave us a comment. This easy quick fix has helped a lot of people, and we have used it on both rear doors now on our F-150. There are other, more expensive, ways to fix the sticking door problem, but this one is cheap and pretty easy. I sure hope it helps your friend out! Have a wonderful and blessed day ---Tim and Stacy 😍💚
@The Tilemaniac - HI there! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching, and for letting us know - that's great to hear! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Great little tutorial here👍 This will certainly help anyone that’s experiencing that issue. I need one of those little battery powered drivers that bends at a 90* they’re super handy!
Smith 5 - thanks for stopping by! Tim is the original Mr Fix-It, as far as I'm concerned :) I've never seen him work on something and not be able to fix it! He said the battery powered driver is a DeWalt screwdriver that he got off an Amazon Deal of the Day a while ago, and he likes it! I had no idea what you were talking about, LOL! TFW and have a blessed day ---Stacy 😍❤
@Clayton Fowler - Hi Clayton! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching, and especially for taking the time to leave a comment. We are so glad this helped! It really is an easy fix, and almost every one has a zip tie laying around, LOL! Hope you get your dad's truck fixed up too, that's awesome! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
@Clayton Fowler - Hooray, that's awesome Clayton! So glad you were able to get your dad's fixed, that was so thoughtful of you :) I am sure he's happy to have working doors now 👍 Have a truly blessed day ---Stacy

Jose Lopez - thank you for stopping by, and for taking the time to watch and comment. We're so glad that this quick fix was able to help with your door! @Oscar Carbaja - Hi Oscar! Thank you so much for watching and we are so glad to hear that it helped with your rear door issues. It's nice to just use an inexpensive cable tie for a quick fix! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
@IIIxNO MercyxIII - Thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave us a comment! We are so glad it helped, it really is a cheap and easy fix (that we've had to do a couple of times now, but it's so easy). Take care, and have a truly blessed day ----Tim and Stacy

richard - thank you so much for stopping by, and for taking the time to comment! We are so glad to hear that this helped you! It's definitely a quick and easy fix, and I'm sure there are more expensive ways to repair this, but with the age of this truck, we feel like our money is better spent on other issues for the truck and not expensive rear door parts. So glad it helped you! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Thank U so very much! My back doors haven't worked for almost 3 years! And the zip ties did the trick for the top cable! But it seems like mt bottom cable is broken too! And I'm not sure how to zip tie that one!! If U have any ideas I'd really be grateful!
Tracy Walker - Hi Tracy! Thank you so much for stopping by, and for the great comments :) We are so glad to hear that the zip tie trick worked for the top cable. Tim says that his bottom cable has never been an issue, so he's never tried it. He did this fix on the top, and hasn't taken the panel off again, since it's still working. I wish we had some ideas, sorry :( Have a wonderful and blessed day ----Tim and Stacy 😍💚
sodapop - thank you so much for taking the time to comment and let us know! Hooray, so glad it worked for you! My husband has done this on both doors now, and it works, although he says you do have to get it "just right". Too much tension and the door won't latch. Too little tension and it won't open. But if you get it just right, it works great, and is a very cheap fix :) Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy😍❤
@Cars Gates - thank you so much for stopping by and taking the time to leave us a comment. We are so very glad to hear that this helped you! That's awesome! Take care, and have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
4rubios - thanks so much for watching and taking the time to comment and let us know! We're so glad it helped, it's a quick and easy fix, maybe not the best thing in the world, but everyone has cable ties and it's a nice little fix :) Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Y'all have any ideas on what is wrong with a door lock that doesn't go down all the way? The actuator works but but doesn't go down enough to look the door Thanks for any help... Idea's....
@Luis Barrueta - Hi Luis! Thank you for stopping by. If you have put in a new cable tie, as indicated in the video, then perhaps it is too tight. There might not be enough slack to allow the locking mechanism to catch. You might would try to replace the cable tie again, and leave it looser. Hope that helps! Take care, and have a wonderful and blessed day --- Tim and Stacy
@Chad Banks - Hi Chad! Thank you so much for stopping by and watching, and for taking the time to leave us a comment. We are so glad to hear that this easy fix helped you, that's awesome! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Tim! Of course he would take a door apart when he has already taken the whole back end of the truck off and has probably taken apart just about anything else he tinkers with! That's a great skill to have :) David will take stuff apart too sometimes. I would do better not watching it as it happens so good job watching/filming. (Oh I see now you said he watched some other videos before trying this) (ps.....sometimes he also has the "more is better philosophy!!!" That is Don's skill!)
Gail B - thanks for stopping by! You know Tim, he takes everything apart, fixes everything, tackles everything and is positive there is not a single thing he can't make better or fix :) And, so annoying, so far he is always right! I think all guys have the "more is better" philosophy, LOL! TFW and have a blessed day ---Stacy 😍❤
@FMB BEACHBUM - Our truck has been a great one, except for a few minor issues like these rear doors. The cable tie trick is a quick and easy fix, hope it works for you! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy

HYPE WARRIOR!! - thank you for stopping by, and for taking the time to watch and comment. We hope this helps you and fixes the problem, I'm betting that it will. It's a quick and easy fix, for the price of a cable tie. :) Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
@Jenny Machalicek - thank you so much for stopping by :) Hope your husband was able to fix the door with a cable tie, and all is well :) Have a blessed day --- Tim and Stacy
@Richard Drapeau - thank you for the info Richard! We just chose to go the most inexpensive route, a cable tie that we already had a slew of on hand :) Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
@Richard Drapeau - we appreciate the updated info! Believe it or not, the cable tie is still going strong, but good to know there is a bit more permanent solution if we decide to go that route. I do know that my husband has used this cable tie method on both rear "suicide" doors, but to my knowledge, they are still going strong. A cable tie is such an inexpensive and readily available solution, no driving to the store for a part, even though it is inexpensive. Take care and have a blessed day ---Stacy
Wonder if this would work on a 99 ford ranger having same problem door won’t open but u can pull in cables and it will open so wonder if I could do that and it will fix it
@Hunter Treadwell - Hi Hunter! Thanks for stopping by and watching. We don't have a 99 Ranger, so can't know for certain, but I would certainly use this as a guideline and see if it might be something similar, and easily fixed with pulling in the cables. Hope it helps! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
@William Pinson - Hi William! Thank you so much for stopping by our channel, and especially for taking the time to watch and leave a comment. We are so glad you are here, and so very happy to hear that this video helped you. The cable tie trick is very easy, and so very inexpensive. You can buy more expensive kits and parts, but for a truck this age, we think our money is better spent on other things for its upkeep and maintenance :) We are definitely from the South! Much further south than your relatives in Arkansas, keep going down in Mississippi! We are primarily a food channel, though we do vlogs (we call them Around the House videos) and such. Just in case it sounds like "home" and you are interested! Take care and have a wonderful and blessed day ---Tim and Stacy 😍💚
Thank you so much for the reply. I'll have to check out your other online content - sounds great! Regarding where you are from, there's a lot of similarities in accent and expressions between south Arkansas, northern and eastern Louisiana, and Mississippi, and a lot of similarities in culture and food! Take care, and may God bless!
@William Pinson - I agree! We have friends and family in Arkansas and it's very similar in so many ways, including twangs and accents, LOL! Have a great evening and God bless! ---Stacy 😇💜
@HIGHPEREZ - thank you so much for stopping by and for taking the time to let us know! Hooray, so glad it helped! Take care, and have a wonderful and blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Shelly Gordon - thank you Shelly! He had watched a couple of other UA-cam videos before he tried to fix it and said "their videos were awful, we can do better than that!" LOL! Which, of course, I loved, since I'm trying to get him more involved. I was *so* happy he let me film it to share :) Hope you and Edwin are having a great day! ---Stacy 😍❤
GLOCK FAN-BOY - thank you for stopping by and watching, and for taking the time to comment! I'm very hopeful that this will help you, and fix your rear door problem. It's such a nice little fix, for the price of a cable tie and a bit of time. Hope it works, let us know if you get a chance to swing back by :) Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Try the cable that runs up to the top of the door. Follow this video but reach your hand behind the mechanism and pull on the cable that runs up to the top. If that works, zip tie it to the metal part. It's an easier tie off then the cable that is shown in this video. Good luck
Andrea Wiggington - Hi Andrea! Thanks for stopping by, and for taking the time to watch and comment. I hope this helps you fix your problem! Have a blessed day ----Tim and Stacy
@@LetsCookYall just wanted to say.. IT worked fixed the door so it now opens. I give rides to an elderly couple no way he was going to crawl over the seat so now he can get in and out. Thank you for this video

Simply Cooking w/Latonya - thank you for stopping by! My husband is very handy and is basically able to fix most anything. He looked on YT for a fix and found a couple of videos, but said, they are pretty bad, do you want to do one? Well... it doesn't really fit with the whole cooking thing, but hey, sure, we can do that! LOL! So there ya go! Thanks for the support and have a blessed day ---Stacy 😍❤
This is the best video where you are going to find the best fix to this problem. Thanks a lot bro !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks! Both doors failing. This was a quick fix
@Brian Workman - so glad it helped!
Virtual fist bump!!! I was dreading taking the entire cable out and your fix was perfect. It may be more temporary but for now a quick fix. Thx
Have a wonderful and blessed day ---Tim and Stacy 😍❤
i replaced my silverado with this 2003 f150
the dealer said the back passenger door was bolted shut...........but i bought it anyway.
i did the same thing you did with the zip ties and the door now works great ...thank you so much. ......... and tell the camera person she did a great job too
@Juz Chillin - Aww, thank you so much for stopping by and for taking the time to leave us a comment.
The same thing happened to me! Both broke the same week. Needless to say I was pretty upset. Glad I found this video!!
Thank you Sir for a great video.
(:
So glad you posted this, you just saved me a lot of hassle and money.
Great video, had my door fixed before the video ended! Thank you
Doors haven’t worked in 2 years and I guess will continue not to, this video was very very straight forward and got to the point.
Thanks so much! Glad it helped!
I am having the same problem on my truck. Luckily I found your video and will repair it tomorrow.
Hello tank you for the video, I just fixed my door, it took me five minutes, love this tutorials, god bless and keep up.
@Humberto Berriozabal - Hi Humberto! We are so glad this helped you fix your back door! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Just fixed the back door on my 2003 F150 super cab thanks to you and this great video.
@DLMADWI - Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to watch and leave us a comment. We are so glad it helped you with your back door, that's awesome! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Worked like a charm! Easy peasy! Thank you for the video. 2 back doors fixed in under 30 minutes.
VH VH - Thank you for taking the time to leave a comment, and we're glad it helped! Have a blessed day ---- Tim and Stacy
Going to try this tomorrow, have a good day king
@AP _ - Hi there! Thank you for stopping by and watching, and for taking the time to leave a comment. We certainly hope this helps fix your rear door issue. Keep us updated! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Great video! I did it this morning and your video made it a relatively easy job. Now we'll see how long it lasts.
Great video. Fixed both of my doors. Saved me hundreds
Spot on. Panels came right off and then after locating the cable I strapped it down with a couple of zip ties and that was it and the door works again
Absolutely worked perfectly, thanks so much. Now I wait for the other door to break.
Jaw Wedd - thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to comment. Glad it worked for you! Have a blessed day ---Tim
the zip tie trick worked on my door . thanks for the video
@jeff kane - thank you for stopping by and taking the time to let us know Jeff! So glad it worked for you! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Mahalo man!🤙🏾
A little more light would've helped, otherwise the camera work was just fine. I'm trying this on my truck tomorrow. 🖒
Just gotta say thank u so much for this my door just got stuck in i did this method in it worked thanks for everything Ford Nation
Major PITA not having my doors open im going to give this a shot .thank you for posting this video
stratplayer53 - thank you so much for stopping by, and for taking the time to watch and comment!
Perfect. Got it done in 20 minutes. Thanks
@Wayne Sammy Swingle - Hi there! So glad to hear that this helped! We appreciate the comment, and hope that you have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
Thank you, looks like an easy fix, my friend has this problem i will give it a go, he should be pleased that it wont cost him a thing.
@@LetsCookYall Well i did this fix and it worked a treat, my friend was amazed how quick it took. Thank you for the video
@@farmlife5763 Hooray Jennifer! We are so glad to hear it! Thanks for letting us know, and have a wonderful and blessed day ---Stacy

Just did this to my truck didn’t take 15 mins and had zip ties in the shop lol gonna do it on dads truck too thanks again!!

Y'all have any ideas on what is wrong with a door lock that doesn't go down all the way? The actuator works but but doesn't go down enough to look the door
Thanks for any help...
What a huge help this video was. Thank you 👍
Thank you I’ve been dealing with no back doors since I got the truck 6 months ago , I fixed both in about 30 min .

HYPE WARRIOR!! - thank you for stopping by, and for taking the time to watch and comment. We hope this helps you and fixes the problem, I'm betting that it will. It's a quick and easy fix, for the price of a cable tie. :) Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy

They make metal replacements for the plastic bit that breaks. Doesn't take too much more work. But costs about $10 for a 16 price set.
@Richard Drapeau - thank you for the info Richard! We just chose to go the most inexpensive route, a cable tie that we already had a slew of on hand :) Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy
@@LetsCookYall alright. Wasn't sure when those peices became widely available vs when you made the video.
Thanks very much....I think this is just the tip I needed - Looking forward to trying it.
Perfect fix. Thank you!!!!
Glad it helped!
I found that if I made the cable too tight, it stayed Unlatched. I had to adjust the tightness of the cable tie on it. This works for me!. !!
Awesome! Thank you for the idea and the video! By the way, I wonder where you all are from - you sound like "home" to me, my relatives in Arkansas.
---Stacy 😇💜
Great video! Fixed my exact issue
@Mclovinn - thank you for stopping by and letting us know, glad to hear it! Have a blessed day ---Tim and Stacy

Great job Tim!
---Stacy 😍❤
Worked perfect your the man thanks.....

Mine just wont open watched your video. Will try when I get a chance.
Good luck
@@martymaroney4780 , I purchased the repair kit. Did it right. Working grear
