I know you know, Baba Fela was not just a great musician skill-wise, his art spoke volumes on political and societal shenanigans, you have resurrected his legacy in addressing something that's not talked about well enough - the injustice that women have had to go through for long enough.
Inshallah, this piece goes miles in aiding us in seeing as ourselves as who we are, humans. As beautriful as this masterpiece is, it talks about something really really dark. Women get way less respect than they deserve.
Women are so strong!! watching what my mom had to go through after my dad's death just because she is a woman and a wife made me understand that women need more credits and need to stand up for themselves because the treatment sometimes is not fair. and i am not a feminist but i can understand how tough it is for women.
