That was really straight forward and good. I appreciate how you left in the issues and worked through them as you went as it is likely something that a lot of people will face when setting this up. 2 thumbs up.
Hello, will the purchase of Enterprise Mobility + Security Licenses mean that I'll get InTune as well or do I have to go through the process of getting InTune separately?
I have learned SCCM from your education videos and it has helped me a lot in my career. Looking forward to see this series 😊 And BTW we have just started using PMP in our organization for 3rd party products and managing 16k+ machines. Thank you Justin 😊
Thank you Justin. Good to see you back on posting these video's. Got a question on the virtual Win 11 host that you used for auto enrollment. Where do you stage that win 11 machine (Azure\Onprem\Other)? Was wondering how to do this trial on my end.
Intune is such a ghostly defined thing, and not clearly documented. What you refer to as Intune here is some Intune, some MS endpoint manager. Endpoint manager is an admin interface on top of Intune and/or sccm (system center configuration manager). Or am I still missing something?!?
Great question, it's hard to really know what the marketing terms may be. For this guide, it's purely focused on the Cloud part of Microsoft Endpoint Manager.
Wow, wow wow. The Man is back 🤠. Thank you so much for keeping us up to date and appreciate your invaluable efforts during the busy schedule too. This is why so many people are not just like the product but..
In order to be able to sign users in the OOBE with their company email address or in your case the "setupmem" domain, the device needs to be running Windows Pro correct? And if half of my computer devices are running Windows Home editions, does this mean I need to upgrade them all to Pro in order to have Intune recognize them as Company-Owned Devices? I know I can still enroll Azure Active Directory Registered devices to Intune and then change the ownership from Personal to Corporate, however this adds a lot of clicks and eliminates the end-user from essentially being able to sign in OOBE and "go". Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Trying to migrate all devices from no MDM to Intune MDM and most of the devices are running on Windows Home currently.
@@PatchMyPC Do you know if there's an easy way to check my devices on AAD for Home/Pro with powershell or cmd lines? Or any way for that matter, besides going to each device and looking up device specs on them? Again, I appreciate your response! I'm learning a lot in my new role trying to do this with no experience. (They aren't enrolled with any MDM solution right now as they are all AAD registered and Intune would label them as Personal devices until I can upgrade them to Pro.)
Many Thanks Justin for Nice video. Please post more videos on Intune like you did for configmanager. Your videos are helping people to understand product and use and creates more system administrator on these domains.
@@PatchMyPC - Thanks for the quick reply! We have a hybrid setup, on prem ad using ad sync to o365 - working on getting intune configured to manage our pc's and mobile devices. Your vid helped me get started. Do you have any vids explaining how to enroll an already existing PC that's setup on the domain to intune?

For me, I was just running it on HyperV on a physical server in our office.
@@PatchMyPC Gotcha, thanks for that tip. Will give this a try soon. Cheers!!
Great video. Can you auto setup bitlocker as well?
Thanks for watching.
Couldnt activate the Enterprise mobility security E5 trial. Is it because domain is not listed?
Thanks for this, How we can auto-enroll on the existing system without losing any data?
Try 1080 please 720 is so 1999
Thank you very much. Very straight forward and good.
Hi, do you have on how to go from sccm to intune for updates and apps

Hey Justin, I don't intend to rush you. Can we expect more educational videos on Intune? It's been a while 😊
I'm definitely th8inking about more video's for Intune.

That's correct you need to be on Pro or a higher SKU

Awesome 1st video, can't wait for the remainder in your series. My lab and I thank you.
Thanks for watching.
Very good, tks Justin :)
Thanks for watching.
but the first sign in user was logged in as administrator, how do we change this?
Use autopilot with deployment profiles. In there you set users to be standard not admins.
Would recommend seeing Pelle's comment.
How would this work if you have an on prem AD? Can you still join it to the domain and still enroll in to intune?
You can still enroll it to Intune in this scenario
