Fiio FD11 & FH11 review

- Fiio's got a couple of new budget offerings, the FD11 dynamic driver IEM and the FH11 with an added balanced armature. One of these is pretty alright. The other... I'd steer clear of.

I think we’re getting to the point where so many IEMs are similar enough that people are shopping for style changes almost like a wardrobe accessory. The market is saturated right now.
TBH I don't hate it. The average IEM at any budget is pretty listenable. But progress demands we keep trying.
I feel the same way about mech keyboards. At least it benefits consumers.
Better to have them experimenting, instead of everything being Harmon of DF. I also like to consider that not all music benefits from the same tuning. Most of people that Asian pop seem to prefer more neutral tuning than I like for classic rock.
No. Its a wornderfull peace for this price. Its for more people
I ended up getting the FD11 since the Lan (my IEM of choice) was out of stock.
I considered myself a treble-head and actively avoided bass heavy signatures as a rule. However, this one changed my mind. With a slight boost at the 800hz and 10k regions, it sounds perfect. As you mentioned, there is a certain tactility to the sound which is very satisfying to listen to. Instrument separation is also a touch above the stuff I have tried before, including more expensive headphones.
Should I buy it for listening Quran,Podcast, action movies like JHON WICK and foresty movies.
Does it offer perfect vocals.Hey sir reply?
Does it have great male vocals
this is so helpful! i haaaaaate sibilance and no other reviews mentioned this! glad to save my money there.
JD7 is my favorite from Fiio, also single dynamic in a metal cylinder shell.
Fiio uses 2 pin for their budget iems but it used to be flush fit and not recessed
Wonder if their customers agree that 2-pin = budget, interesting.
I've heard the JD7 is a pretty good budget IEM, tuned like the Aria but it received almost no attention when it came out around 10 months ago.
The JD7 is great, the only problem with it is the EA500 exists. If the EA500 upper mids are too aggressive for you though the JD7 is the 1DD to get. The JD7 has a more forgiving tuning with softer upper mids and treble, and a generous bass lift that is very nice. It follows the bad guy target very close so it's great for rock. The EA500 has a more technical sounding driver though and a more "audiophile" tuning of a mild-v which suits my music better. If EA500 didn't exist JD7 would be my daily 1DD; I love the build on it even more than the simgot. Olina SE and Kato are the other 1DDs I would look at; I think the Kato is overpriced but the blue shell looks so good it's almost worth it.
For me, the JD7 was better in sound and construction (and accessories).
The round shell shape is pretty comfortable, but lacks fit stability, and the strange 2pin design makes it hard to cable swap... Decent product but I'd probably steer others away unfortunately
What if I want this type of sound like fd 11, so do you have any other substitute for it, under 60$
Hey homie all these FD and FH stuff is confusing me. For basshead and not too muddy for female vocals would you recommend FD15 out of all of the Fiio? I know the price is very different
I think Fiio also did a Crinacle x Fiio as well.
Appreciate your input. ❤
I have a vídeo of the FD11, I love them but they feel very focused on bass frecuencys, that's good but the mids ad trebles feels a little behind in the sound in general. But for the price I still thinking they're a good budget IEM for people who is starting and wanting a v shaped sound. Cheers man!
Yeah it's a perfectly fine IEM, but definitely not for midrange enthusiasts. Try LAN 👍
I just bought FD11 and i quite like the sound. However, I have this constant white noise/electrical hum, even when I don't listen to anythin on my PC. They are plugged in the 3.5 jack of my PC Box. I have no such problem with my FiiO FH1s :/ It it because of the body's material? Zinc... FH1s are plastic
Not likely, it's probably because of the sensitivity of the IEMs and the noisiness of your PC's headphone jack. The FH1 may not be sensitive enough to pick it up.
@@SuperReview Then can you recommend me some other budget IEM by FiiO, except FH1, because it is no longer available here...I should also mention this hum/tune gets louder depending on how close I am to the box... Also, if I touch the box with my hand, it stops humming, same goes for the laptop. If it is plugged in the charger, I get the hum, if it is on battery - everything is fine. The IEMs make the humming sound even when I turn my PC off, too. Is it something with electricity?
Yeah could be a ground loop with your PC.
@@SuperReview How can I fix that?
@@ZnakaProds If you have a free USB port, use something like an Apple dongle instead of your PC's headphone jack.
I still don't know which headphones I should choose.
FiiO FD11 or FiiO FH11.
The latter are slightly more expensive than the former, and they have better highs. They are also HYBRID! So why do you recommend the former?
Thanks Mr. Ryan. Given the stars on these IEMs, do you think the Sheriff could wear them as a law enforce ent accessory?
Come to think of it, could be a liability problem.
@@SuperReview it’s not only the Sheriff that might be implicated. The Deputy might want to wear the cheaper one.
What do you think of the Fiio JH3 and Fiio FH11 ? Which is better?
I want to know this one as well
In terms of soundstage and detail, how would the fd11 compare to the moon drop Lan?
I like LAN better, but I don't think soundstage and detail are the right things to be looking for.
@@SuperReview welp, I really like vocals and I listen to live recordings quite a bit. As long as the base and treble are present, it’s fine. The metal shell intrigued me+the good cable and reputable brand. I’m assuming the LAN would probably do better with the mids?
Yeah definitely.
Sorry but when you say 3 stars it means they are not really that good?
It means all of the words I said before I said "3 stars."
Can it be worn downwards? 😭 getting no reply for this
Ayo wdym?
Yes of course
Is it better than Sennheiser IE 200?
For the cost? Id say for sure
I love music more than anything, bass should be present but not too strong, but voices and instruments should be precisely audible. I really like to listen to classical music, chansons, folk music, Celtic, chillout/lounge, I mainly have songs in DSD/Hires format because I am a customer of Tidal.
Which would be the optimal in-ear headphones? The FA9, FD11, FH11or FH9?
Greetings and take care of yourselves.
Monic G.
FD11 or JH3?
Does fd11 and fh11 have similar soundstage ?
Soundstage is a non-factor most of the time.
2 start... No! I liked fh11!
Please enjoy! My opinion is just my opinion.
tried the fd11
didn't like it
What about it?
These UA-cam reviews are pointless.. some says one thing other says opposite. What i would suggest is to know about different kind of drivers & buy a latest pair of iem that comes under your budget or buy 'em all and experience through your own ears.
Kinda.
The same story with FD models, Mark...What we see is the SAME driver everywhere.
(1) I don't know that it's the same driver, just the same FR, and (2) using the same driver in multiple IEMs is not really a problem because you can get different sounds out of one.
