Great video and thanks for sharing. As a fellow cavalryman/musician I agree with everything you've wrote. It's a crying shame that all our cav regiments have been allowed to be disbanded or merged. All the history and pomp gone. Just to save a few quid. Dusty Rhodes ex 15th/19th K.R.H band 1978-1986 JLR/RAC band 1976-78
My Dad, Dennis Flanders was in the 17th/21st Lancers just after the war in Lybia, Egypt and Israel. Some years ago on VE Day we were delighted to have the 17th/21st Lancers band in Camelford, Cornwall to lead the parade and do an evening concert. I have good video of the whole thing and will be posting it on You Tube soon.... look out for it.
Thank you so much! What a superb display by one of the old 21 piece regimental bands. I have several recordings by the band but have never seen much video of them. Such a gallant uniform, and fine history. iIwas able to recognize some of the marches including THUNDERBIRDS and GRANDIOSO and of course THE WHITE LANCERS" which was the old regimental march. If you could list the other selections here and on Facebook where the video can be seen under my Military Music Appreciation Society I would be very happy!

Just seen this, a couple of years after my time, I left in 1986, but well done, I know how much work goes into a KH Inspection.
Cripes never new this was on YT! Brings back memories!! Nice one mate, hope you're well.
We (16/5) amalgamated for a short period in 1993 - I had the pleasure to meet and play along with some of these musicians!
