Slice the potatoes and fry them. Season them and air fry them. Yummy
Great idea!!
I dont want to seem awkward but your table salt really souldnt be on a concrete floor as it will attrack moisture in the original container, could i sugest glass jars 😊 Love your pantry Thank you for sharing x😊
Diced canned potatoes tastes good topped with a yummy seasoned sausage gravy or in a shredded beef burrito. Keep the homeschool items they are priceless.
Your ideas gave me another idea! Breakfast burritos maybe? And yes, for now, I can't bring myself to get rid of any homeschool supplies! Priceless indeed!
@@AmyRaisingArrows I'm newer to your channel so I don't know what your Religious preferences are but suggest adding to your school library multiple copies of the old king James versions of the Bible along with the Greek, Latin and Aramaic books of translations before A I. and negative puppet masters destroy our accesses and we only have access to the modern interpretations they are trying to push.
That's a good idea. I do have an extensive library, and try to add to it when I can. I have several copies of the Bible in various translations. I've never been a Bible app kind of gal.
Just a FYI, canned food is good for years after the date on the can. Don't feel stressed like you have to rush and use those things up.
True :)
The canned potatoes would be good in a cheeseburger soup. Taste of home has one online my family of 7 loves. Great video, btw!
Great idea! Everything tastes good with enough cheese! lol
Hey from a U.K viewer, what is puppy chow? Also for an easy low prep meal I put minced beef & gravy into my slow cooler & add tinned potatoes & they taste lovely.
Sounds great! And Puppy Chow is melted chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter poured over Rice Chex, stirred up and then coated with powdered sugar. I think Chex calls it Muddy Buddies, but I grew up with it being called Puppy Chow because it looks like what dog food used to look like! People would often serve it in the brown paper bag they shook it in to coat with powdered sugar so it looked even more like dog food!
What is your canned salsa recipe? I tried it this year but it turned out very sweet (even though no sugar was added). I’d love to try a different one if it’s good! Also, I listened to your latest podcast today and it REALLY resonated with me!! Thanks so much for sharing!! Didn’t know how to comment on that but figured I’d say it here !
The salsa recipe I use is from the Ball Home Canning book. It's easy and everyone likes it. I will be posting the video that goes with my latest podcast probably next week, but I appreciate the comment here! It's a journey for sure!
This was really helpful, my stockpile organization is evolving and this gave me some good ideas! Just out of curiosity, what did you move to instead of TOG?
I actually still use TOG, but it's on my computer now. HOWEVER, should the internet implode someday, I didn't want to be without it!
I pressure canned lots of potatoes, and we don't like them either. I have been using them in beef stew and other soups.
That's a good idea. They probably take on the flavor of the stew, right?
That was my suggestion also. I use them in soups and chowders and you can't tell the difference. You've done a very nice job on your pantry. You also have a pleasant voice and manner of presentation.
Thank you!
We've lived through a sewer backup flood in our basement so could you consider putting the dry goods up higher to prevent wastage if wet? The cans could be lowered because they'd be less likely to be spoiled if wet?
Good idea!
