The fact that they included some non-sequitur storyline/joke about gathering crystals from a thanksgiving toon and incorporated it into the last boss just goes to show how much care the brothers chaps put into their stuff
A fitting final boss to the age of Flash. Kudos to the creators, and the wise one who recorded this. Also, that giant Mecha-Trogador arm looks pretty good... coming out the back of his neck, there.
I think that one of my favorite jokes here is that the enemy that’s obviously the shadowy figure popping up to throw some bullets at you is named “Bubs” in the end scroll.
So many surprises Marzi-mei being designed by some of the peeps behind Baman and Piderman Being able to fight Sticklyman Shadowy Figure being revealed to be the 20x6 version of Coach Z (which is something I wondered)
I'm pretty sure the "now I have a mouuuuth" thing was a reference to how in Megaman X2, the final Sigma Virus form which was rendered in 3D wireframe had an articulating jaw.
@@bobdole7451 His silhouette looked just like Coach Z, and his face was already revealed as a portrait in a Stinkoman shoot em up style game select screen on the website. It also included a portrait of Cheat Ball before Cheat Ball was given a mention in a cartoon.
I was sure that the 20X6 version of Coach Z was the identity of the silhouette way back when. I kinda wish I had been wrong, but dang Z Sabre is still 9001% awesome. The cape! The pauldrons! The sword! The theme! The fight is also basically the first phase of Sigma from the first Mega Man X game, but better!
It a shame that flash is now dead and I can't play this game anymore. If only they could archive this along with the other Homestar Runner games, or maybe even make a extended remaster with WayForward or Inti Creates, so they can include more levels like the once mentioned: Front Hallway as level 12 with the boss being a vase full of peacock feathers. That would be sweet!
this was definitely a great ending to the game! spoilers below nice callbacks in 10.2! z sabre was definitely harder to fight than mecha trogador... wow, marzi-mei's appearance really changed compared to the 20x6 homepage... and really nice how you can fight sticklyman in the credits! but how many hits does that thing take?!
I tried to play this in games on the website as a kid in 2001, I never actually saw what it looked like as it never actually loaded for some reason. Would have been fun to play :/
missing the hd cinematic, poor game skills, there will always be flash emulators...... thanks for doing it I guess but it's not vanishing from earth. the allegory is that flash dying is really the end of an era
The title doesn't say "Level 10 No Damage Run" or "Speedrun," does it? The guy never claimed to be a pro, he just uploaded the footage to show off Level 10.
@UNDERHILL I hope you're having fun playing this game on the flash emulator where the floor fails to load and you fall to your death immediately upon starting Level 10! I'm going to keep watching this video to remember what Level 10 was like.
The fact that they included some non-sequitur storyline/joke about gathering crystals from a thanksgiving toon and incorporated it into the last boss just goes to show how much care the brothers chaps put into their stuff
And a throwaway line in SBCG4AP about a secret Stickleyman fight after level 10.5
@@somejerk5662 I forgot about that one lol
And the end boss that Strong Bad drew in that one Skills of An Artist episode.

The boss music was epic. Definitely a great conclusion to an underrated flash game
I think Toby fox bout to sue somebody!

"I FEEL ASLEEP!"
I understand that reference!
So the whole thing was a prequel to that Thanksgiving cartoon. Forget that know-nothing Hitchcock; THIS is the DEFINITIVE a plot twist.
So many surprises

Being able to fight Sticklyman
Shadowy Figure being revealed to be the 20x6 version of Coach Z (which is something I wondered)
I started this journey as a guy. I finished it as THE Guy.
Maybe the real end boss was the friends we made along the way.
After 15 years...they *FINALLY* released Mega Man 10!!!!
@Shydude Twelve-Times-A-Day Man? You can't just start makin' up terrible new characters!
@Shydude Cringe.
Good lord the names of the enemies in the credits MURDERED me.
THURGOOD EACH
The one called “Reid” is my favorite for obvious reasons
After 15 freaking years FINALLY!!! Thanks for preserving this since flash is dead
I love how Stinkoman is fuck all startled or intimidated by Z Sabre's appearance and deadass calls him a puppet theatre.
holy shit, this is majestic
I'm pretty sure the "now I have a mouuuuth" thing was a reference to how in Megaman X2, the final Sigma Virus form which was rendered in 3D wireframe had an articulating jaw.
And thus, a great journey comes to an end...
I had a feeling Coach Z was the villain.
And the final battle takes place in a locker room. Surprised he didn't do any butt pats as a signature move XD
No, the End Credits credit Bubs as the Final Boss. Makes a lot of sense when you think about it ...
Ha! Back when this game came out originally me and my friends joked coach Z would be the boss. Years later it was true
@@bobdole7451 His silhouette looked just like Coach Z, and his face was already revealed as a portrait in a Stinkoman shoot em up style game select screen on the website. It also included a portrait of Cheat Ball before Cheat Ball was given a mention in a cartoon.

Of course the parody of Pokey would be called Yekop!
Thanks for posting this!
Well, that final boss was unexpected, but a good one.

Mecha-Trogador-The final boss of Flash!
Surprised they didn’t call her Marzi-Chan
Z SABER with a Mouth is horrifying.
Bro never dies💀
I always thought the villain was going to be Stickly Man in reference to one of the earlier Stinkoman shorts they made
He's there in the end credits, at least.
Ahh... My favorite indie game.

Flash Emulators exist now. Ruffle pretty much runs the Homestar Runner site, meaning you can play Stinkoman 20X6 in the browser.
So basically a much more tidier version of the Negatory stages
Lol "I grew a prodigious beard! And Pan-pan had a hundred babies!" I am slain

Sticklyman can’t actually be killed, but he can’t kill you either
It’s a pity this game can’t be played anymore, with Flash being dead.
2 year later, Ruffle (Flash Emulator) plays over the HR Website. So yes, you can.
I tried to play this in games on the website as a kid in 2001, I never actually saw what it looked like as it never actually loaded for some reason. Would have been fun to play :/

To think, they didn't finish this game for 15 years and then when they finally did, they forshawoed a sequal

That’s New Mode. You can still play Classic Mode too

Not a fan of Marzi-mei's design. I like the school girl outfit better
I like to think of Marzi-mei as the school girl Marzipan's older sister
