For those who know, why does Eric start with a6 (10:25) in the second game before castling? I thought about 16. Rg1 and then ...16.Kh8 and then white might have some pressure down the g file, but it seems safe. Maybe I misevaluated the structure, but is castling even necessary in this structure?
He explained a6 - just before he played it - he wants to play Na5 and then Nc4, but after Na5 there is the annoying Qa4+. So a6 prepares b5 to meet Qa4+, and the knight would get to c4. But in the game white gets in pawn to c4 so we don't see this play out.
Not a fan of this time control to be honest; I think I like 10m better? Maybe 10m + 10s or 5s? Slow enough to be instructive without taking too much time, but adding a couple of seconds to avoid those games where you run out of time at the end.
Brave is Chromium-based so if a website has bugs with Chrome it'll have them with Brave, Edge etc. At this point there's really only 3 rendering engines - Firefox, Safari, and Chromium

Brave best browser
Hell yeah
Brave is Chromium-based so if a website has bugs with Chrome it'll have them with Brave, Edge etc. At this point there's really only 3 rendering engines - Firefox, Safari, and Chromium
Brave is powered by Chromium so if there's a website bug with Chrome it'll also happen with Brave
Double hell yeah!
Test comment.
