It is clean and well maintained. I can say that since fishes and tortoises are living in the same pond. The condition of the pond has not changed from the day this temple was discovered. They are preserving it in the original condition instead of altering it.

Interesting shrine , but not ancient . It was built by the philanthropist Rao Bahadur Yele Mallappa Shetty in the lasrt decade of 19th Century . it was rediscovered and renovated a few yeaes ago . Local historians have written about this .
