A Swiss Bunker Tour: Fischbalmen

- Bloke and the kiddies go on a tour of the Fischbalmen bunker at Beatenbucht on the shores of the Thunsersee in Switzerland. A small montage ensues, which includes some nice Swiss automatic firearms - the massively over-engineered Furrer MP41 (who needs a toggle lock in 7.65mm or 9mm Para?) and Furrer LMG25 (a toggle-locked light machine gun in 7.5x55).

Thank you for sharing these historical sites!
Loved the bunker tour. Looks like the Swiss weren't messing around. Neutral, yes. Ready, absolutely!!!!

Si vis pacem.............
I like the pedal powered air pumps, so much better than a hand crank.
Thanks, Bloke, always very interesting. I had the childhood pleasure of playing right in the German bunkers on the Atlantic Wall in the area of Cabourg and Deauville while living at SHAPE Village. Paris to the coast is not a long run and we camped just behind the dunes most fair weekends. Saw a chateau on the beach that looked ordinary until you looked inside. There was nothing inside, no floors or walls. A bomb had hit it and blown a lot of the insides out the top. It had, of course, been cleared up by then (1956) but it was still very interesting.
That was cool. Nice one Bloke.
Yay bunker tour! Just like I voted for on patreon! Thank yoouu
I love Switzerland my ancestors are from their I've been once but definitely want to go again and maybe even live there
Grate footage !
Great video!

Very interesting. Thank you!
Wow! Love it!! There's one very much like it more or less opposite Château Chillon beside the road.
great video
VERY cool video.
It's a nice preserved bunker.
You can visit lots of them in switzerland, and some are way bigger than this one. I still have to go and see most of them.
Samuel Pasche Thanks for advise, sir. Really like this sort of sites.
@@MrSam1er the camouflage entrance to the bunker was awesome.
Anything else with Lloyd on the way, that'd be a nice. Sweet bunker bro.
Suppe mit Spatz! :-D
Did they mention how many people where on duty in there? I see four beds but I'm assuming they had shifts. Just curious, cool video bloke :)
great video, but there was some horrible wailing noise during most it except when you where talking.
Dad's day out!
Fantastic tour and what a beautiful country. How did you immigrate? I understand that is very difficult to do officially.
@3:10 Blokette following the big sister's code.
Is there an escape route out of the bunker if over run?
Bloke on the Range
I think what you meant to say was that true patriotic Swiss men, would never abandon their post and would rather fight to the death using only their bayonet if they have to, than retreat and abandon their post.
So if you could carry what would you carry?
On the map you see other artillery ranges. Was there more bunkers build in the side of the lake or was the other artillery range just placed on land?
lowel guitars A lot more bunkers....
Bloke on the Range thanks for the reply and I like the work you do with TFB. TFB has really opened up to outside of the US. I'm sure you know how old it can get reading about ar 15 and 1911.
Is this Mäcke G. @2:14?
Swiss bunker or just an average Swiss bank?
Unfortunately our banks are as regular and boring as they are everywhere else.
Drag soldier what aircraft impossible attorney swear offer combat.
1:02 Its a sad day when country defence is less important than a rockslide. As with most of these bunkers, the first things that were blasted out of the mountain were the gun position and the ammo storage right behind it. All the other luxuries came later.
Sam Doohan Next thing is people dont want airbags and belts in their cars anymore because they rarely need them.
Where do you live that invasions are more common than rockslides?
