- Does wagyu live up to the hype? It's a word thrown around so often these days that I don't know what to believe anymore. So, I thought I'd purchase the world's most expensive wagyu, which retails around $500/LB, and really take a close look at the details.

I love wagyu but can you try Fassona beef from Italy. Super tender and meaty. It's not as fatty as Wagyu which means that you can eat it more often. Also less damage on the bank balance.

I'm honestly really happy for the people that had the chance to try wagyu. It looks like it is a heavenly piece of meat that many don't have operatunity to experience. I love cooking and watching people cook and the look when a person loves what you made. One day I will have the opratunity to know what wagyu tastes like

If you want to try wagyu without getting a loan, buy some Australian A4 or American A4/A5, it's insanely delicious and a good way to get started. Apple salt and pepper, then cook it a touch past Medium-Rare and enjoy.

Yo nick, you should do one on Alberta beef. I bet you will love the flavours of our grade AAA beef. Very rich, fatty and great quality. A lot is grass fed then bulked up with grain creating a beautiful marbling.

I have never tried wagyu and one day I will hope I can try it. It looks so good. I have had some ribeye that was super marbled that was really good but I am sure it does not compare to wagyu. Keep up the great content
Jason my lad, once you try it you'll look at a regular choice (or even prime) rib eye and start to giggle. It's a literal explosion of juice and flavor that just fills you with joy. It's basically beef flavored butter...and it's wonderful!
