changes i noticed: -American version got a whole new intro -Japanese version has different shading on the cars -Clarissa has been censored in the american version -less frame drops on the japanese version
5:22 In the USA version, the buildings' windows look like the lights inside are on, even though it's daytime. Or maybe it's a reflection effect, but it looks wrong.
minor change for ending A: -camera is far much closer and different view in US one while JPN have far off camera and different camera angle 9:20 -Yet again camera is much more closer to Jennifer in JPN version while US have far off camera of this view 9:24 -camera is slowly zoomed out little bit in JPN version while US version dont 9:25 -once again slightly different camera angle and different view in JPN version 9:27 -also ending fade out slightly much faster in US version while JPN version have slow fade out if something is missing just asked me if i missed out something
Can we just take a Second to notice JUST how fast the AI Pedestrian Cars must be going? you're seeing 18 wheelers and campers doing at least 100 mph XD
The car models in the American version look great. Also I feel the American versions music sounds better. Apparently a sports car can flip a bus which is understandably realistic. Growing up my older brother and I had diecast Hot Wheels and Matchbox cars. One of them was a Ferrari Testarossa.
Creo que la diferencia más importante, si no recuerdo mal, es que la versión japonesa admite el periférico del volante mientras que la americana y la europea no.
I had the Xbox versions... this game got fairly cheapened by Sumo Digital not trying to make a physical version with Sega for the Sony PS3... instead they went for a Digital Only Download crap... especially when the PS3 really could have used a physical release enhanced port of this game... that said the PS2 just shows how impressive that hardware is compared to all the hot air Microsoft was blowing about Xbox which is their trap to sucker you into buying their console.
it might’ve been cost or Sony didn’t want a PS3 physical version or Sumo Digital were busy working on other games they didn’t have time for a PS3 Out Run physical version
Don't blame Sumo for it being digital only this would have been Sega's decision. I have the xbox version too and it's fantastic. 480p anamorphic widescreen. Absolutely glorious.
Why can't modern Sega give us more of this? This was everything anyone ever wanted out of a new Outrun game.
maybe there license ran out

You forgot the color of the water is totally different
@@logasama she got added a small shirt so it doesn't reveal a lot
The Japanese version was actually MADE LATER and as such released later btw.
@@logasama 3:30

Looks like nobody noticed the color of the water. @4:20 Deep blue in the US version, caribbean turquise in the Japanse version.
Well spotted 👍
Western publishers deem us not worthy of fun.
One thing to add as well :
Outrun 2 SP japanese version supports logitech G27 steering wheel and force feedback while the 2006 Coast To Coast doesn't.
I heard back in the day that Sega of Japan did the Japanese version of Outrun 2 while Sumo Digital did the Pal version.
Then who did the American version? Because it's not PAL and it's not Japanese! 😏
*WRONG! SUMO made ALL conversions!* 💡

It's an arcade game bro 😂

From a technical point of view, only minor color differences in some areas
Honestly does anyone also feel the JP version plays different? Feels faster and smooth to me.
a better comparison Out Run PS2 vs Xbox
japanese looks better in every way
영어로 된 미국 버전이 좋다. 나는 일본어 몰라.
WHAT ABOUT ARCADE ONE
SEGA
So...almost no difference at all, save for the language and the opening.
Ahora la version de ps2 vs xbox clasic
can you translate that in English?
American version good color
