Awesome review! I discovered your channel because I couldn't choose between BRIO and AverMedia PW513. In the end I went for the BRIO! :D I don't have any video delay. I was kinda scared of it from your review but it seems I got lucky :P (maybe using a hub causes it?). One thing I've noticed is that the image from BRIO seems to have more image noise than my C920. I put both webcams on 0 gain and the noise in C920 is more subtle. Did you notice the same or is my BRIO defective?
Nice! Yeah I'm not sure exactly what the variation is. Maybe it's the motherboard... My laptop has no delay either but it's basically a snail in every other instance compared to my tower which has a lot of delay for almost all of my webcams. And yes, I think the Brio does have a lot of grain at times. In my case it's less than the C920, but definitely it's noticeable at full screen in 4K.
Like your videos very straight forward. I am now getting my first webcam: i ordered the obsbot tiny 4k but their software doesn't work. I wanted a plug and play. So am now looking at the logitech brio 4k. You commented on flaws in their program 2 years ago. Has it been remedied since ?
This is an awesome video. But I have a problem with mine since I cannot get it to 4K. My monitor is not a 4K monitor, but with both Zoom and Camtasia that was not possible. I would greatly appreciate any advice.
Set it to 4K using OBS (Open Broadcaster Software), then press Start Virtual Camera on the right next to where it says start recording. Use OBS Virtual Cam as a source in Zoom instead of the Brio itself.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews Thank you for trying to help me. I really appreciate it. But I'm not sure I understand what you said. I know OBS is free software, so I can easily get it but Logitec's own software, which I have on the computer does not do that, which I don't understand. So are you saying that without OBS, the camera will not work in 4K? If I manage to figure out what you are telling me to do, will I see any difference on my non-4K monitor? Also, is there a way to use more than one webcam and camcorder for a UA-cam talking head style video? Another question, but off of this topic have you considered or have you made an videos about OBT3.5 and the probably next generation 4.0? I am new to your work, but I can see it is excellent. Thank you again!
@@leonardboyer7601 Yeah, just skip Logitech's software. It doesn't give as much control over the webcam as OBS does. Certain other programs can force it to 4K as well, but Logitech's doesn't by default. If your monitor is not 4K, you might see a slight sharpness bump, but it's also going to be capped at 30 FPS so you'll definitely notice that. As far as using multiple cameras -sure. I've used 4 different cameras all at the same time in several videos on this channel. You just have to add them all as a different source in whatever recording program you're using. Not sure what OBT 3.5 is, so unfortunately I can't say anything about it.
Dang. I just hooked mine up to a Windows 11 desktop and cannot change the field of view between 65, 78, and 90 degrees. None of those controls will adjust the camera. No zoom or anything.
I want a microphone for zoom conference calls 2-3 persons in the room sitting together. So pls recommend me suitable model of that as I understand blue yeti and fifine options are for single person?.
Well, having multiple people speak into one mic is never going to be ideal just because everyone won't be able to be the optimal distance from the mic. But if you have no choice, the Blue Yeti would be better because you can set it to record omnidirectional. The HyperX QuadCast can do the same thing. Really just look for any mic that can record in omnidirectional polar pattern.
Hey man great review. What would you recommend for someone using this webcam with their work laptop? I do calls in Microsoft Teams but I can't download any of the software on my work laptop as its restricted. Is it possible to change the settings on say my MacBook and save them on the webcam so when it connects to my work laptop its just optimised?
This is still a good webcam for your use case, but you won't be able to get as much out of it without other software. The memory inside the Brio doesn't retain all the settings, so anything you change will revert to default/automatic when you use it with a different computer. Additionally, even if the settings could save to the device, Microsoft Teams would force them back to default anyway if it accesses your webcam directly without you using OBS Virtual Camera to control the settings first and then use that in Teams. tl;dr, the Brio is still going to look decent, but without OBS all settings will be on full auto.
Does anyone know if there's any real difference between the OG/2017 version of the BRIO and the new 2022? Apparently there are 2 versions on Amazon even though there's only 1 on the official Logitech site. Sorry for copy and paste spam as I just want to know what I'm buying asap. Thanks!
I'm literally getting nowhere when trying to buy a brio. What edition is the best? And why is nobody labeling what edition they are reviewing? You've got a stream, business and ultra 4k editions... this is like the 10th video I've clicked on and nobody knows anything helpful
That's because they're literally all the exact same webcam. The Logitech 4K Pro, Logitech Brio, Logitech Brio Stream, Logitech 4K Business webcam etc. They are all the same device, Logitech is just dumb and keeps rebranding it to make it seem new. Source: I bought this webcam 3 different times under 3 different names.
Great review and probably the best quality I have seen of the Brio!
Super comprehensive-- fantastic video! Thank you!
Great video, thank you! Really helped me figure out best way to use it with the right settings and lighting.
thatshow you review a product badass video bro top tier quality
Thank you for this video! Very informative dude. Appreciate you
What a great and exhaustive review

The Logitech software is still really bad. Personally, I think OBS is still the best program for editing webcam settings still.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews but the brio 4k is still a good webcam and will be recognised in obs?
@@RedsparInvesting yes. the obsbot tiny 4k should be recognized in OBS too. I have the obsbot tiny 2 but not 1 so I can't check right now.
Can you do a review on the Razer Kiyo Pro? Comparison to the Brio
Yes I will! But it will be a few days since my Kiyo Pro is still shipping.
Super helpful info
I got the cam and i have no issues getting 4k from the Logitech app.
That's excellent the 4K option in the app works for you. It doesn't for me, but fortunately I use OBS anyway.
@@BadIntentStreamTechReviews It seems to be VERY finicky about your cable and the USB port too. Depending on the cable I use, 4k stays or goes away

With this Review I changed to Brio. I have an issue...
My lights are changing color when I move my hand over my face, can u help me?
Always use manual settings, in particular white balance for the colors.
