Pets always die before you do, but now you'll be on the other side of things, Luna will be part of your life for the REST of your life. I don't even have my own kids and I'm not planning on it, but I had that crazy realization when my sister had her son last year. I didn't think I'd ever really get used to him being such a permanent thing in my life, but it already feels like he's just always been here.
