This resonated with me. When Cord said that he was 32 when he got that writer's room opportunity, it hit different. I just turned 32 this week. Four months ago, I left the highest paying day job I've ever had to pursue my art as Experiential Artist full-time without any guarantees and finally finished my rebrand and announced it to the world. When Ryan & Cord talked about if you're doing the art for the accolades, you probably shouldn't be doing it, that was confirmation. I know that regardless of whether I ever reach any societally viewed marks of "success" I will always make art because I can't not make art. It's an undeniable part of who I am. I always have made it and always will. Preciate this episode, Proximity Team 🙏🏾🖖🏾
Ryan I support you brother. However, if you get in this media/social media game. Then you must be aware of the tide turning on you somewhat. What you do in regards to T'Challa will loom large. I got where yall where coming from last time. We've mourned him twice. Now lets get the character back active. #RecastTChalla
That just seems really tasteless. Ryan more than anyone is capable of making that call. Neither you or I knew Chadwick. I couldn't imagine the heartache of recasting your friend and colleague.
@YouthSalad The thing is I understood not recasting for that movie. I agreed with the decision. However, as Ryan stated in this same interview what you make one year might no longer be relevant when it comes out. We're no longer in 2020. We've mourned and accepted it. However, years later its not worth risking killing the franchise.
