Yes, i forgot he had a sister in the movie. I have not seen the movie and so so long I was thinking that the little girl was played it his daughter but come final yes that was a sister..... the little girl
His rhyming skills weren't at their prime but he was still raw as he was making his way in the game and not far removed from being broke. It hits different when you're aware of that.
Yes this is a very good one. I can't get that flow out of my head...."time for me to move on... back my bags and im gone".... the way it moves is so hot. I watched this 1 like 20 times.... lol thanks for watching
While being one of his lesser known gems, this is my favourite Eminem song of all time. The beat, while mimicing the sound of train tracks gives this foreboding and yet uplifting feeling. He's executed his flows at a level of mastery and artistry which enhances the lyrics and story, which for me makes this my all time favourite track as he recites his experiences as a struggling artist which I feel any person in the creative industry trying to make a name for themselves will relate to. This track alone is enough to cement Eminem's position as one of the greatest artists (not rapper; Artist) and poets of our age.
I completely agree, as lifetime fan since I was a kid(92) First Album I ever bought was Slim Shady LP. But what strikes me most from this song is the"(if) I'm a man, I'ma make a new plan". Nothing these days, hell even back then seems to come close to this message, or is anywhere near as real or relatable and encouraging/inspiring/truthful, IMHO as a man. Not to mention the last verse is 48 bars?
Eminem's flows literally become part of the beat like an instrument, glad you pointed that out, also has your wife watched 8 mile? if not you guys need to watch that like tonight.
that opening train sound effect is used in so many movies and tv shows. Every time I hear it I’m instinctively waiting for the 8 Mile Road beat to kick in. Lol
Wow... yes i have seen movies and was like... thus is where they got the sample from. And was like ... BEAT DROP....lol but only in my head.... thanks for watching
Like many have said. It's based on his character in the movie 8 Mile, Jimmy Smith Jr. He has a little sister in the movie. But Jimmy and Em are pretty much one and the same.
Yes we did guts over fear we just need to upload it..... Kings never die I think we did it I'm not sure but we gotta upload it if now we gonna add it to our list.... I know we are going to do it
leah everything and anything Witch type of Eminem so do u like or don’t like so we can Warn you if there is a song you won’t like and we can tell u a song u would like
Wow... thanks a lot because 2 people said he produced this one... trust me, my ears are tight when it comes to the music. I can tell when someone who really knows music did the beat.... but i cant argue too much with the fans
@@TheMusicRecordingNetwork I'm sure Em helped or had something to do with production too. But Resto did a lot of the Producing on 8 Mile. Em was super busy after all
This song is from the Rabbit's POV (Rabbit is main character of "8 mile" movie. Eminem got this role) In the movie Rabbit got a little sister, and his mom got a new man.
love this one...……. I lived off of 7 mile Rd & the high school I graduated from is actually on 8 miler Rd!! For people who think i'm just sayin this to act or look cool.... do ur research,,, its called Henry Ford High School & its located on 8 mile Rd & Evergreen. anyone from Detroit will know what I'm talking about!! another CLASSIC reaction from my FAVORITE channel. God bless!!!
This song is a soundtrack from his semi-biographical movie called, 8 mile... So the lyrics in the song are being written to fit the storyline of the movie... He got a baby sister in the movie!!! He was a known failure in underground rap battles cos he got stuck once and couldn't spit....
Hey guys, so rabbits sister in the movie is represented of his adopted daughter who is actually Kim's sister daughter who was abandoned by her parents. After he blew up, he did go back for her. Actually adopted her and she moved into his mansion 👍
This song is in the point of view of his character b rabbit he played in the movie 8 mile. Eminem produced this song and of course he learned from the goat dr dre.
Yes, everyone is telling me this. I do remember parts of the movie and i thought the little girl was his daughter.... but it was so long ago.... she was his little sis.... thanks
this was produced by web studio, it was the indie label he signed with b4 aftermath in Detroit, they co produce his early albums with Dr. Dre. i think they produced this track also.
Great video as always can you do the end of eight Mile when he was battle rapping the guys at the end reaction he shows off his rap battle skills of course the greatest at it again y'all are the goat
Mom doesn't get nearly enough credit for her insight on these reactions, you can just see the neglect in her face...... my opinion, take it or leave it.... she was catching some good stuff in this track
The whole plot was centered around the movie 8 Mile which was loosely based on his life. Reacting to the ending rap battles of the movie will give you a better perspective on the concept behind this song.
Guys. he doesnt have a baby sister or whatever u guys said LMAO its the "8 mile" song for a reason watch the movie. the song is pretty much the plot of the movie just in a song
if you want a rare gem (most wannabe stans never even heard it) check out 'Bad guys always die'. its about the movie wild wild west with will smith. soooo many people miss that.
It's too bad that when his half sister (sarah mathers) found out em was her brother back in 2005, she died in 2006 from a heroin overdose. Too bad, not much time spent together
Also this is why I wish the daughter was with u in the reaction to Eminem-The Warning (Diss track to Mariah Carey) because she gets as hyped as u when Em kills the track🙌🏼so hopefully u react to it again with her as well.
This is a good song. But im pretty sure all the eminem fans were listening to "8 more miles" by G-unit they killed this beat. Especially 50. His verse is so hard
Plz also react on gunit popping thang, pateinly waiting, also so seducive tony yayo and 50 cent thats song beat really killin man and i like when wife is always with you on 50 cent songs specially
He's talking about his sister in the movie 8 Mile. He has a sister in the movie He's rapping as B Rabbit, that's his character in the movie
This true, although Jimmy is heavily based on Eminem and his early life. The two could almost be seen as one and the same.
Dude, they was asking about the sister. Although the movie is loosely based on his life, he was rapping as B Rabbit.
Yes, i forgot he had a sister in the movie. I have not seen the movie and so so long I was thinking that the little girl was played it his daughter but come final yes that was a sister..... the little girl
@@ershal6012 yes.. i was saying i thought the little girl played his daughter... so long ago... but now i remember its his sis in the movie
yes jase, i wanted to be able to tell them this so badly halfway into the reaction haha
That beat mimics the sound of a train. Eminem did produced this album.
Ok cool to know... thanks
You can play this song in the club
This is one of Eminem's best songs for me. He was at he's prime at this point
Yes, i am watching this one for the 10th time.... this is my favorite song now... can't get that flow out of my head....wow.... thanks for watching

Third verse is one of his best ever!
Greatest verse in rap history. No debate. I don't even know what would be second. Maybe the first verse of Nas' One Mic.
Like many have said. It's based on his character in the movie 8 Mile, Jimmy Smith Jr. He has a little sister in the movie. But Jimmy and Em are pretty much one and the same.
My favorite beat of all time
S D, this is now my favorite one also. I can't get that flow out of my head.... we had so much fun on this one. Thanks for watching
