  • In this video, i will go over if its a good idea to add a clean-up crew in an attempt to remove dinoflagellates. dinoflagellates i toxic to almost everything in a reef tank and thrive in very low-nutrient tanks. If your hermit crabs, snails or fish eat it they will most likely die. Its always safe to remove the dino first before adding a clean-up crew.

Do you have installation videos for your CO2 scrubber lids? I purchased one last month for my Reef Octo Classic 110 INT.

Some good advice Travis as a lot people think purchasing a clean up crew will eat the dinos. It will more than likely kill them so you’d be wasting your money.

Hey man i have a 60 gallon with a few fish running on a fluval fx4 full on seachem matrix. Ammonia always at 0 but my nitrates are always around 17-22pmm. Any advice ? Will these nitrates kill my fish ?

Ammonia should always be at 0. Your nitrates are a little high so maybe cut back on feeding and or add an extra water change. No nitrates will not kill fish

Dino took out my coral a couple years ago and really ruined the fun of the hobby for me. I run a fowler now but lost most of the joy.

@@ireneklauber4008 yeah I was running ozone and it helped some. I had the kind that are slightly larger and more resistant to it. I forget their name. I used a microscope to verify though.
