This song always brought tears to my eyes. Beyoncé is a quiet humanitarian. She's a very private person and rarely talks about her life but her BeyGood foundation does a lot of good for so many people. I'm from Nigeria and I know a few people that have benefited from her foundation here.
You just get so used to her incredible performances that it becomes expected and you forget how unbelievable it is. She hit every mark on this performance, simple and understated yet powerful and emotional. Her voice was flawless start to finish, how does a human being do that?
Beyoncé is notorious for being very private about her life, and not active on social media. She's done a lot of humanitarian causes and she's known to work behind the scenes and for not publishing her charitable works for publicity. But she often gets scrutinized for not being outspoken about her contributions and for not posting activism on her Instagram. Beyoncé and her team once slammed them couch activists who judges people's action based on posts on their instagram story and said "Not all activists are on social media ... Posts don’t make you an activist. Actions speak louder than posts!”
This performance with those visuals was so emotional and moving. Just amazing. You could see everyone feeling the impact.. Those in the audience, it's like she was singing it through their efforts.
Yes beyonce she does everything private. And the only reason we know she did something because people start recording her, or going public with it, due to the excitement .
You guys have no idea what's coming for you around the bend 😂 her most epic eras are from 2013 to current day. This is so exciting watching you guys on this journey.
Bono(U2) once performed "American Prayer" with Beyoncé for Aids Concert in South Africa back in 2003. There's a video of their rehearsal and another video of Bono talking about why he was drawn to Beyoncé to do the charity concert and visit children's hospitals with her
Please watch the actual video too after the UN one that has her life story in the background when she sings. Please do the Roseland version as it is about her life
This looks to me like a live performance turned music video. She performed this live, yeah, but I can tell that audio was mixed/mastered and synced to this performance.
I actually prefer the recorded version of this song than this performance. This performance was sung cleaner than the recorded. Beyoncé has a foundation for l humanitarian aid, but also her and her husband do a lot of college sponsorships. Last time Beyoncé spoke out for a cause though (George Floyd/police brutality), she was attacked heavily in the comments and on twitter. This year they’ve been attacking her for not speaking out about Rafah. IMO she could’ve, but it was unnecessary because we all knew and know and if people wanted to send aid they should’ve just done it. They don’t need a celeb to post someone’s gofundme. Because we all saw what’s been done to the aid sent from actual organizations. Majority of it was destroyed. No amount of speaking out about it has helped or truly stopped the atrocities so TO ME it wouldn’t make any difference. 🤷🏾♀️
Un world humanitarian day, I would think the people in the audience were all humanitarian workers, not necessarily her fans, but the lirics of the song surely felt like written for them.

This is true, even her new hair care line gives scholarships to people, I love how she’s constantly giving back especially to her community

It’s sooooo annoying lol, I love that she pays everyone dust, they literally have to wreck their brains trying to find something to complain about!
