I had a 1970 mk2, 1300cc back in 1971, went like the clappers, belied it's engine size. Always wanted the 1600E but could not afford one. Mine was quiet and that one comes across of having quite a quiet ride.
The cc is on the logbook your holding, and you needed to sort your belt out, more dangerous then not wearing one, there's an adjustment on the belt itself
@05:00 jeez, you introduced the car as a 1500 within the first nine seconds of the video. And how was the back seat? Don't tell us you 'don't know' woman, you got it written all over you....
I owned a 1970 Cortina 1600 with a bench seat and steering column gears.
Top work lads 👍
Theresa, you are spectacular. The next time you're in the US, give me a call.

Went like the clappers 1300cc. 😂. Someone must have put a 1600 gt engine in it. The 1300 took about 20 seconds to get to 60. 😂
@@russcooke5671 it was checked out by engineers at work, definitely a 1300
@@allant53 it must have had some mods. Because a standard 1300. Engine don’t put out much lower.
@@russcooke5671 it was an ex company car, cannot see them doing any mods to it.I certainly did not.
